Hello Matt.I have had the soundtouch 300 soundbar and the acoustimass 300 sub for around 5 years now.I only use them for movies (mainly netflix) and formula one direct from my youview tv box (connected via hdmi to tv).....(Bose equipment is connected via optical cable to tv). Two questions i need help with when you have the time thanks. 1) I am constantly losing the pairing with the sub to the soundbar (it is placed over a meter away from my router to avoid any interference ) so i have now started using the 3.5mm jack directly from sub to soundbar ,does this connection make the sound inferior?....it feels like it does....and also it also loses connection now and again even though hardwired...(there are times when i do not use my Bose products for up to a month ,but fail to see how that would affect its performance)........2) Does using an optical connection instead of the HDMI (Arc) ports and cable affect the performance?....( my tv has 3 HDMI 'ports' , one is for the youview box other two are currently not in use )...thing is , if i connected my soundtouch 300 soundbar via the HDMI cable as suggested by Bose it means i have to change HDMI outputs on my tv remote, thereby losing the HDMI signal for my youview box (tv)....so really just want to know if the optical connection is just as good as a HDMI connection.....thanks for your time.
Hello Michael, the connections are similar, but I would change the soundbar to HDMI ARC. Also check the bose unit for software updates, using the app. There should be no sound difference between hardwired and wireless to the sub. Finally check the unit and see if you can perform a factory reset. It is on page 44 of the manual. When you do a reset, you will probably will have to start over on the setup of the unit. Here is a link to the soundbar manual. assets.bose.com/content/dam/Bose_DAM/Web/consumer_electronics/global/products/speakers/st_300_product_page/pdf/773965_og_soundtouch-300-soundbar_en.pdf If those changes don't work, then contact Bose @ 1-800-379-2073 regarding the sub losing connection. I have not seen this before. That is about all I can do, as we have replaced that floor unit and moved to Sonos for this type of Audio.
GSL WHOLESALE LLC it may be a bit late but you can definitely pair two subwoofers to your soundbar Bose is one of the only soundbar manufacturers that actually allow dual sub setup
Hi. The light on the sound bar is solid but yellow. The light in the acoustimass is yellow then white then off again repeating the same cycle. Please help
If you look at page 19 of the manual you will see the status light codes... assets.bose.com/content/dam/Bose_DAM/Web/consumer_electronics/global/products/speakers/am300_product_page/pdf/772090_og_acoustimass-300_en.pdf Solid amber generally means the soundbar and sub are not paired. I would suggest unplugging both units from power, wait 10 minutes, then plug in. If it does not pair up, then refer to page 12 of the manual for pairing the sub to the soundbar. If that does not work, contact Bose.
See page 13 in the manual. assets.bose.com/content/dam/Bose_DAM/Web/consumer_electronics/global/products/speakers/am300_product_page/pdf/772090_og_acoustimass-300_en.pdf You can add another 300 sub, or add the 300 sub to a lifestyle 650/600 system. I do not see the soundbar 700 as an option.
I am not sure. We no longer have this unit. You can use two wireless subs and pair them with the soundbar. This is noted on page 19 of the manual. assets.bose.com/content/dam/Bose_DAM/Web/consumer_electronics/global/products/speakers/st_300_product_page/pdf/773965_og_soundtouch-300-soundbar_en.pdf The soundbar does have a 3.5mm output to hardwire the subwoofer. You could try hardwiring one subwoofer and then pairing the second sub wirelessly. Or contact Bose and ask that question.
You can try resetting your soundbar and performing the initial setup again. The manual is below. Page 41 shows blinking amber as "Both surround speakers are set to the same channel, such as L (left) or R (right)" assets.bose.com/content/dam/Bose_DAM/Web/consumer_electronics/global/products/speakers/st_300_product_page/pdf/773965_og_soundtouch-300-soundbar_en.pdf Reset the soundbar and then perform the initial setup again. Also refer to page 19 to pair your subwoofer and/or rear speakers to the soundbar.
Please Help. When I want to to synchronize my soundbar I only get to see orange light and nothing happens. Please help me with further instructions. Thx
I would suggest unplugging both units (soundbar and sub) and trying this again. If that doesn't work, contact Bose at 1-800-379-2073. If that number is not good, then search for Bose contacts.

I think it is only compatible with the bose soundbars. You could try a bose speaker and see. We don't have this on our floor anymore so I can't test this.
No, the Bose System or any Soundbar has it's own amplifier, speakers and sub. So it would not be able to work with your denon receiver in regards to adding more speakers.
Try unplugging all items soundbar and sub from electricity, waiting a few minutes, then try again. Otherwise call Bose, when comparing we chose sonos, so we do not have this item any longer.
@@panintegral6398 once plugged in the sub should be on. Check for a power switch but I don't remember if it had one or not. Sorry this item is not on our floor anymore, and we switched to sonos.

I updated my Bose soundtouch but acousimass 300 is not working and in acousimass white light is blinking. Please give me the replay.
Can we connect it with Sony BDV N9 100W blue ray home theatre system please find my answers as soon as possible please
Hello, no you can not connect the Bose Acoustimass subwoofer to this Sony BDVN9.
What subwoofer can I get to deepen base on Bose touch 3.0
Hello, I am not sure which speaker you are referring to. If you are referring to the soundtouch 30, subwoofers can not be paired up with these units.
Hey Matt I have a question can I connect one more subwoofer to my setup? I have the Bose soundtouch 300 but I wanted to know if I can Thanks.
I believe you can only connect one sub woofer to this unit.
