I worked on security in his heyday and when he played Coventry Theatre I was charged with getting him safely to his car at the end of his show. While waiting backstage I got talking to a lovely lady who was watching from the sidelines. Her security name badge had the surname 'Webb'. Well we chatted for a few minutes until I eventually asked her who she was and why she was back-stage. Turned out I had been chatting with his mum. Cracking atmosphere I might add while he was playing. I was very fortunate as I saw so many incredible bands in those days, often extremely close up.

Don’t get it, why isn’t he in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! He’s got a great legacy of music and is such a good example to all in the music industry. C’mon sort it out.
You will really enjoy his gig he's brilliant live, whenever I see him I get transported back to Teletour 80 at 15 years of age I'm 60 in September. Enjoy the show.... NNNUUUMMMAAANNN ❤️
He's done it every set I've seen the past 25+ years. Most tours he concentrates on new stuff (EXCELLENT btw), dredges up the hits of course... and Films!
First listen and bought his album in the the early 1980s .... as a teenager in suburban new zealand he was such a cool inspiration!!! Thankyou Gary Newman ...I still have that record.!!
This is wonderful! It's been years since I've listened to Gary Numan. Glad to know he and the band are still together and performing. They still sound fantastic!
AMAZING!!! Thank you for capturing the essence of Numan! Love this man and his constant reinvention. For those of us who couldn’t be there yesterday, I truly appreciate this video! Performance GOD!
@@richardchavez985 Hahaha! What's even more fantastic is that after listening to some other videos of his performance from CW, you managed to NOT capture everyone blabbering about all around you! Spectacular and I'm so grateful!! 🖤🖤

Gary Numan is one of the most important Musicians in Modern Music. Thank the Universe for putting him on this planet to produce, play, and perform for us!
Nooo Honey Bunch, if you get up close to him he looks like some type of wax works dummy with shocking dyed black hair! And let's face it Honey he never could sing could he, David Bowie hated him.
Thanks once again for posting this, I was there in the middle and this was one of the best Cruel Worlds. Numan & the band were fantastico, so glad he played the full set from his early years. The harmony of the synths are amazing & haunting
I couldn't really hear the girls' backing vocals on 'Conversation'. I wonder what they thought of dad's 'Dad Dancing' on stage 😅. I'm seeing Gary in Leeds in June this year on the UK leg of his tour. I wonder it he'll do this set?
Weird seeing Numan play during the day!! Saw him live in this city "Pasadena" in 1982....Absolutely blessed to first see him in Los Angeles March and Nov of 1980.....a few times in between, and in my new hometown a few weeks ago. Living Ornaments 79 80 & 81 are still constant plays in my music rotation.
I've been a fan of Gary Numan ever since my boomer parents started listening to him back in the late 70s/early 80s. I even stayed a fan through my headbanger days. I love that this dude is still rockin.
back in late 70s when he released his first album it was a game changer. people were listening to 70s rock, ACDC, Aerosmith etc. his album was so different - the godfather of modern pop and electronica
Gary is looking and sounding great - One of rock's great survivors - His music stills sounds fresh...
David Bowie hated him 😂
@@anthonydempsey7693 Yes - that was funny - Gary loved David but David hated Gary - David despised Gary because he thought he was a copycat artist.

Gary appears to be in great shape! Immense respect for him!❤️
I was there and this was a fabulous show!
I wasn't, and it was still a fabulous show!
The mic volume for the girls was to low needed to be up on the gig.
Performing outside in the sunlight doesn't seem to fit his act.
He's dressed in Gothic style . Playing synthpop . Cool .
I totally agree… but to be fair, it doesn’t suit anybody other than children’s entertainers 😂
Must be a daywalker.

Gary is such an intelligent, talented, genuine man...forever Gary Numan...
Gary and Ministry were the highlights of the festival for me.
SAME for ME! Seen Gary 4X in the last ~1 year (3 were CW) and he is just great. Ministry was my surprise fav of CW24.
Ministry and Gary Numan and Front Line Assembly were spectacular together on tour right before this. Massive fan of all 3
Ministry's set list was a bit underwhelming. I like fake British accent Al and all that but Psalm 69 era Al is my cup of tea.

Im seeing him in Leeds, again first time since Warriors tour in 83 again in Leeds. I'm 58 now and buzzing for the gig
Gary and his band saved my music soul in ‘79 as a kid.
