It is meant to be a fact, from a recording engineer I met over 40 years ago, that Paul McCartney mixed hysteria late wife Lynda down on tours and had someone else play her keyboards on the records.
I know Gary is a doting dad to his 3 daughters but this was a big fail. It's obvious he is so proud of them all but they are so young & dressed in a sexually provocative way. I can only assume that Gemma influenced them with the way she looks with her silicon boobs on show at every opportunity. (The t shirt for Raven with her bottom stuck out in such a suggestive way...I just can't fathom any dad condoning that). True talent doesn't need to stoop to that & makes me feel so sad that Gary is showing his precious daughters like this 😣
Gary is NOT meant to be watched outside in the daylight. You want a nice dark club to really appreciate his music :) I played the living hell out of Pleasure Principle. It's in my top 10 albums.
That was awesome seeing his 3 beautiful daughters up there with him and he is clearly sooooo proud of them all as are they of him. Even though you couldn't really hear them, what do you expect though with being recorded on a phone. Persia was amazing on 'My name is Ruin", Ravens own music is absolutely brilliant and to see Echo up there as well it was just a lovely and proud moment for Gary and his Daughters.
Y'all are so lucky to see GN in concert. He never comes to Pennsylvania. I've seen videos of his daughters in his concerts in England & they are pretty good.

But sadly he totally turned his back on that period, though he did do a fantastic take on My Breathing with the Skarparis Orchestra, where the girls could have really added a really great live vibe to it instead of female pre recorded vocals triggered by laptop. These little things add greatness to a live artist and the audience who have been following him for 4 decades or more, will appreciate the difference and genuine effort to deliver an honest good show.

Having both done sound + performed at countless USA festivals I know exactly how it goes. Gary should have brought his own engineer, that was the mistake.

Someone has totally stuffed the audio. Numan gigs are known for their precision and presentation (and I've been to enough to agree), the actual audio would be far better).

Yeah I can't hear the girls at all in this mix.... I like Numan but he doesn't work that well in broad daylight.... Not enough atmosphere, he needs the shadows....
I love some of his music but Numan's a dope. 60-yo with plastered make-up and cosplay; dudes with skirts and his teen daughters paraded around dressed like...well, Gary, its about music, dude...
Gary is a new wave neo-futurist performing science fiction rock and he dresses the part the way that David Bowie, Bauhaus, Visage, Siouxsie and the Banshees, the Cars, etc. went on stage to put on a theatric show. If he went onstage dressed like he just got off work at Jiffy Lube like boring American bands it would kill the futurist vibe of his show. If Gary put his look OVER his music then it would be a problem but his band sounds great (I do agree that his daughters do not add anything to this live performance). There are a lot of great bands that can go onstage in t-shirts and jeans and they still sound great. It just is not much fun or avant garde to watch for some people. And let's face it- we white people look like we just walked out of a morgue without makeup.
Numan in the daylight doesn't work. I've been a fan since the late 70s but this just sounds like karaoke to a backing track and his daughter's standing around looking awkward

People who were following him in 80s.even saw him a few times as airshows in his Harvard painted up to look like a zero He refused to play his massive hits Cars I die you die We are glass. I asked afterwards and the sheer bsfflement and dissapointmebt.. From us oldies . Was a good gig but missing signature tracks. Won't watch him again
Gary's vocals were not well balanced, Music over powered him. And why is he doing a show based on an album he did 30 years ago instead of the awesome new stuff he premiered last year, Cruel world? His daughters look board and you couldn't hear them at all. Maybe they knew their mikes weren't working. They look the part though. Sorry for the rant, Glad people liked him anyway. I strongly advise anyone to check out his show from last year and watch and listen to his new stuff . Intruder. Back to concept albums. So awesome.
He his playing the 45 yr tour now as when he come to the uk he will player the pleasure principal and replica in full which will be a treat for some of us!!!

Had nothing to do with being a phone recording you could barely hear Gary during louder songs in his set. Their mics if on needed some serious boost.
