I built a heavily modified FTX Outback, used Axial AX10 axles, homemade motor mount to move the motor up so I could use a bigger motor, moved battery to the front, new esc etc so i can use a 2c lipo, better shocks, links and full set of lights.
Great job.. Unfortunately I don't have the same building skills 🙈😎

Got a broken grave digger (my son played in the dirt just once and the trans is all junk). Was getting all entousiastic about this build, but I fear the level of skill require exceeds my own. Plus, the plastic chassis doesn't seem like it's going to last

Been looking for a quality monster jam rc for my son. Seen the smt10 Grave digger it’s way outta my budget. We will have a go at this. Itd be cool if you did a write up and got into specifics. I’m new to rc cars and you start saying servos I pause and google. Lol

Hey Kevin you should put on some proline power strokes shocks on the slash and the rustler they are very very good better than those GTR shocks
Biggest diy is probably my 1:10 almost fully 3d printed on road car based on a sakura 4wd. Its almost done, just needs one gear. Some 12mm hex hubs, and a receiver since I cannibalized the reciever for another car that fried its... aw well. Lol.
You can tell i started with balsa planes, my go-to glue is CA. I use CA and activator for EVERYTHING. 🤣

Or is there more to it than that I don't want to be removing wires and clipping the frame id just like to straight swap and maybe swap the wheels too is that possible?
