Yes, that kind of rc toys are what our parents bought for us when we're just a kid..i also bought toy grade rc for my toddler..and that's what makes us loves rc..

Ive got the new Devastator and it's brilliant. Ive done some real cool crawling with it. You didn't mention that now it comes with a li-po batterie and a light to say that it's charged.
I love the HBX stuff, we got a couple of Rampages and they kick ass. Even bring them to the skatepark with the xmaxx trucks
Perfect this things gonna be awsome for my son inside for these -50 Canadian winters. Probably gonna be many mornings waking up with this thing crawling over my head in the bed. Cheers bud

Hey, A+ stuff! The cheap equipment draws people that wouldn't otherwise jump in. I'm dipping my toes today, just ordered an HBX Rampage and oil shocks, with plans to 'step up' to a WLToys 10428B this summer. After that I'll look at a nice crawler or buggy depending on how I most enjoy these in like, a year when I can afford it. Thanks for all your videos!

Devastator is awesome. Just wish the tires would be a bit more grippy. Cool to see they’ve adjusted the design. Moving the charger plug and power switch is a big plus. Entertaining video!

Welcome aboard dude. I haven't done any mods but some people fit bigger wheels , that will give it a bit more speed.
@@KevinTalbotTV yeah, I was thinking the wheels could do with being a smidge larger. I'm going to do some digging on motors too, maybe try a few different ones out.

Awesome vid Kevin, I do think you explained the differences about the cheaper units to a better Rc grade unit , I also think your spot on about people being able to start off with something that’s a lot less money and then they still get to learn exactly how everything works and then their more likely to move up to a real Rc because they can better understand the workings and the movements without having learnt a big lesson by wrecking a real Rc like Traxxas ect... and losing interest because they had to spend extra money fixing something they really didn’t get to enjoy before truly understanding it 1st ! But I don’t ever think that the Chinese Rc’s will ever replace top notch Rc’s because the Chinese stuff aren’t even close to the type of Rc quality you get from the top Rc builders , and overall the Chinese Rc’s aren’t far off the top Rc prices , so you really do get what you pay for when it comes to buying 1 from the top Rc builders ! Keep up the Great vids ! 👍✌️
Bought the hbx for my kid for Xmas, we both love it. Add extra wheel weight with wraps of solder around the rim helps stability. Mine climbs 54 degrees. Rc4wd tyre upgrade coming. Friend just got scx24 at over double the cost, we haven't had a competition yet!

You should turn that black cheapo into something good, like put a good motor and radio and stuff
Kev try upgrading the battery of the cheap big crawler the black one with twice the voltage of its stock battery I've tried it. It really moves a lot more and I can even get it up on its own if it is on sideways.

The last minute of this vid is for real. Bought a WLtoys 12428 because I wanted to break things. Already broke things and fixed them now looking for upgrades to not break so much. Now I'm looking at higher end models. But I will say I love this car so far

Have you done a review on scx24 1:24 scale. For the price $120 and it is hobby grade it is the most superior mini crawler. I have more fun with it than my scx10ii. The only thing I found it needed was the shocks lowered to the chassis to help clear the tire rub on the front fenders. To do that I had to drill small holes in the the chassis in the front. The rear had holes to use.
Do you think on the Devastator if you wanted to you could remove and swap the battery with a little bit of effort?
Mate the best cheap rc crawler I've ever bought is the ftx ravine it is so capable its mental for £100 I really dont think u can go wrong for price my sons absolutely love taking it out

😂 @5:34 The crawl of shame! When it comes to RC's it's one of those things that the price really does make a difference! Btw, try the red-devil backwards next time to get over the tools, that way it's like it's rear wheel drive instead!
Ive been watching all your xmaxx videos and youve done alot, but one thing you havent done is put a 1340kv leopard motor with a hobbywing max 5, yes the max 5 fits, they make a bracket for it to mount on top of the braces that sit above where the old esc sits. The leopard motor is the size of a pop can almost. Its powerful,

Chase Tucker I’m no expert at all, and am probably not qualified to give advice, but I’d imagine do everything, don’t specifically do one thing with your cars, do a variety of different things, like bashing, reviewing etc. hope this helps, but once again I’m no expert

Funny one xmaxx tire is almost as big as the devistator but I think the devistator would do just fine outdoors too
The red one needs a bit more weight to climb it. The reason for more weight in the front is because it provides more grip
