I had a lot of requests concerning my thoughts about Fahrenheit and which one was my favourite,
I don't think my opinion is that important, but in this video I show you the differences and give you the cards to choose wisely which ones would be the best for you !
Never choose a fragrance because of the opinion of someone,
The most important thing is how you feel about each interpretations,
Because at the end, you are going to wear it, not someone else and let's be a bit selfish, fragrances is not just about COMPLIMENTS !

Whenever I smell Farenheit EDT it immediately sends me back in a time machine to the mid and late 90's when every young guy would wear it out to bars and nightclubs. When I smell it now it makes me feel good because it reminds me of happy times in my life with friends.
I have Le Parfum but maybe I should get the EDT just to remind me of happy times?
I was at a Dior boutique in Kingston yesterday and like you said......the Farenheit was tucked away in the drawers. Such a shame. Let young people today discover it instead of Sauvage!

I am 23, and let me tell you after smelling Fahrenheit after my uncle gave it to me in 2012, it's been my favourite ever since. Its an absolute masterpiece and everytime I smell it... It just makes my head spin... In a feel good way. Great stuff!! I have a lot of it.
Idk where you are from but Fahrenheit edt is right on the front counter of Macy's next to all the other diors. And has been that way for years. Same thing in every Sephora.

Yes Clemence you are totally right. I have recent batch of edt and le parfum and when smelling them side by side the similarity is less imo. People are saying le parfum has original Fahrenheit dna but I could not even detect any of it. Most of all, le parfum gives me bunch of vanilla and powdery notes, that's it! For sure, they have similarities but very small and should be treated as two distinct scent in this family. What I prefer is of course edt, it is more masculine and mean to wear. If someone needs boozy, leathery scent can easily check bentley for men intense. It has prominent and realistic notes with very good performance indeed.
The Parfum is richer & denser, and overall higher quality . . .
I also prefer the EDT. Le Parfum reminds of Bentley for Men Intense with a dose of vanilla and a bit of Fahrenheit DNA in the background.
Nicely done! I was on a date in 1989 or so...the lady I was with smelled really good and I complimented her. She said, "I'm actually wearing a men's fragrance called Fahrenheit by Dior." I bought a bottle soon after and wore it a lot then and from time to time since. Usually had some around and still have a bottle today, and all time classic! I recently picked up Fahrenheit - Parfum and enjoy it as well..seems to be a bit warmer, smoother and a great cool weather scent.
Oh my god, Thats a great story to tell ! This lady had wonderful taste, it's rare when a lady would wore and rock a fragrance like that !

I do prefer the EDT as well. Fahrenheit edt brings fun memories and it was my first complemented fragrance when I was in High School. As always very nice done video! Greetings from the 🇺🇸.

I love both fragrances. Fahrenheit edt is the alpha male bad boy; whereas, le parfum is the alpha male CEO type. Le parfum is more mature and used his street smarts to catapult himself to CEO. Le Parfum still has some bad boy in him, not as much as edt, but can navigate himself better in the civilized adult world. Can’t go wrong with either one like Clemence says, but I have to say edt is more rugged. There is a time and place for either cologne rather than one or the other.

Thank you! I tried both, and was shocked how different two fragrances with the same name and line would be. The EDT was the first perfume that I've smelled that actually grossed me out - I found it absolutely revolting. I tried the EDP and really enjoyed it, and will buy a full bottle once me decant is out. I had no idea and EDT and EDP could be so different.
I was shocked too when I smellt the Parfum for the first time as.well !

I totally agree that vintage fragrances have a lot to offer. Lately I've been wearing a lot of Fahrenheit, Kouros, and Antaeus. Way more than I've been wearing things like Sauvage, Eros, or Bleu de Chanel. Oh and just subscribed to your channel!

Coincidentally I wore FLP today for a cosy meal out and came home to see this. Blind bought it (along with Dior Homme Parfum) last year because of fears they were both being discontinued but were bangers, and based off collective opinion which suggested LP had more of the original Fahrenheit DNA (albeit with something of a Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille twist) than the reformulated EDT, which I have still yet to smell. It’s definitely something I only reach for once it gets cold here in London for non-casual occasions, but when I do it’s always well-received, sometimes amusingly so by those old enough to remember the name from when the original came out and who consequently expected it to smell dated.
Ah that's very interesting, and so true that its got something like Tobacco Vanille, i found it very surprising when I first smell LP too as different from the original !

Fahrenheit was the first fragrance I was ever bought. It was my 16th birthday present from my aunty. It was so masculine as a scent. I was scared to wear it because it was so musky and strong. It lasted into my twenties and I haven't had another bottle since. I may get a bottle for old times sake!

Great comparison 👏 one of my all time favorites I have a 200ml vintage bottle of the edt and le parfum for me the parfum is all about the rum and vanilla 🤤 that boozy vanilla 🤤🤤

Dior fahrenhite EDT is still Legendary fragrance for me, no one can replace their unique smell. It's my signature parfume beside YSL la nuit de l'homme EDT.

Nice video and lovely accent! I think Fahrenheit le parfum is a masterpiece of modern perfumery. All in all is one of the sexiest fragrances out there. I call it the Trojan horse, since because of it the EDT, which wasn't my cup of tea, may someday soon will end up in my collection, after I would have been so addicted to the common DNA of the two fragrances.

I love EDT - and I think it is quite restrained. It is great as it is, but obviously I would not say no to a new version which was a little... more. Either by going back to original EDT formulation (via vintage buys) or having a new version. Looks like the parfum is not an extension of EDT - which is a pity
You just save me 130 dollars with this video, thanks. I have been trying to find a scent that i like more than Fahrenheit edt because I've been wearing it for over a decade and would like a change, but this search has been unsuccessful thus far. There is a scent called Montale black aoud that came close - an absolutely beautiful scent. I like it a lot but it's not quite "dark" enough and doesn't fit my personality/aura as well as Fahrenheit. The search continues.

Be great to hear what you think of absolute . That’s kind of similar to parfum , but more character , and more like the edt’s weird ...cool, but weird, cousin . It’s amazing . I could send a little decant as I got two bottles . Though a sample is easy enough online I’m sure . Even with how much I love that I still think the original is the best and most interesting. And the very recent formulation seems stronger ! It a seems to my nose anyway. Lovely channel .

I agree, the Parfum smells like an ozonic green vanilla, the only recognizable thing from Fahrenheit is the violet leaf. It's still very pleasant for the slightly cooler months.

It's interesting how our senses differ. I love Fahrenheit EDP and I get the dna of the EDT in it a lot. I wear EDT in Spring and Autumn, whereas EDP is late Autumn and Winter scent to me. Both are beautiful and ladies love it. You need personality to pull it off as you mentioned, but Fahrenheit makes you stand out. I'll get a few back-up bottles on both slowly just to be sure I can always wear them. I feel like EDP will get discontinued at some point, hope I'm wrong.

Fantastic review as ever. I really like the EDT but it's what nearly all my male friends wear now so it's not something iv ever gone for but yea it's a classic. Iv never smelt the Parfum but wondered about it, you make it sound very lovely and probably quite me, but when I was thinkin about it I would want something with the original DNA. But yea now I know and didn't you tell me you can never talk too much so if it takes half and hour it's all good 😜 you always give so much detail

Is the EDT different now? I had the feeling some recent bottles were lasting a lot less than old ones, but maybe is just me bein addiceted to it. It is the only fragrance I ever bought, because my father used to wear it when I was a kid ( now he uses some cheap stuff for old people)

And they’re right. I own both. Parfum shares the DNA, violet leaf is toned down. I love her reviews but she completely missed it with the parfum review 🤷🏽♂️

I have to say in regards to the longevity I disagree, the EDT has been reformulated and doesn't last very long at all compared to the Parfum version which I get really good performance with. Maybe a few years ago it was the case that EDT was more powerful but not now. Love the Review though, interesting that you seem to prefer the EDT which I do also but due to the performance I tend to go with the Parfum these days.

But for me longevity is too subjective as it depends on how your skin holds and reacts to the fragrance.

I prefer Jet A-1 fuel. It's cheaper than Fahreneit and the sillage is amazing. Chicks love it, def a compliments magnet.

Nice review, thanks for it. My opinion: EDT is a timeless classic. I tried many-many others but always come back to it. I was happy when Dior released EDP, till I smelled it. I hoped they made the parfum version of the original, but sorry to say, no. Too much vanilla, too sweet - to tell the truth it's not a masculine fragrance. Hope someday they'll make the real Fahrenheit EDP, but the trends show to the opposite, sweet direction. The EDT is inimitable. Cheers!

Le parfum is definetly easier to wear for a lady as it's more sensual, I like to wear it myself so I think it's fine but it's a tough scent so I would say depends on the occasion.
I used to wear it on cold evenings

Like many people I have strong memories of it back around the time it was released. Clubbing and good times.
I stopped wearing it because when I did I felt like I was wearing an old shirt I used to wear when clubbing. Fond of it but inappropriate.
Then I got into fragrance as a hobby and interest relatively recently and I've started wearing my old edt again....but sparingly.
Decided to go and try the Farenheit Parfum last week and buy Pure Havane at the same time. I got to put the Parfum on my skin and decided to go for it but it was out of stock! But now I know what it is like on me I'll track it down and buy it somewhere else this week. Happy days again. I also think at least in the area I live that it's been unpopular for so long now that it might be regarded as a brand new DNA and not a quarter of a century old. I just don't smell it when I go out and haven't for a long time. Ta for the detailed review!
Ah yes it was so popular in the 90s and now it's something a bit out of fashion I would say for the EDT but that's what's make it unique!

Parfum can not be pulled off in America. It's a wonderful fragrance, but it is simply too difficult to wear.

Fahrenheit EDT is a legend for a reason. Le parfum is good, but they may as well have called it something else. It has nothing to do with the original.

@@clemenceccfragrance what's interesting is how it reminds me of when I used to mow the grass with the lawnmower that was gas powered. I now have an electric lawnmower, so I don't experience that scent of freshly cut grass and gasoline/petrol. So, I think the reason to keep the EDT in your collection is to remind the future generations the essence of what it used to smell like when you were about to do some yard work.

My name is Clemence thank you.
At first the parfum seemed to be a total offense. Like u say, too different to be valid. I cut it with perfumer's alcohol and continued to wear it in rotation. I studied the intent of the perfumer's work in creating the parfum and learned more about the differences from the EDT in the notes. I felt that the fanciness, excessive refinement and gentrification all showed poor taste. After some months the scent improved and also, due to evolutions in my understanding, I became more receptive to the celebration of the original that the parfum is intended to be. For better or worse it is now a part of the history of the original. I think it will continue to be offered because some consumers like the parfum's style. I prefer the EDT and will stay with it predominantly while still wearing the parfum on occasions leaning towards its qualities. Thank you for sharing spontaneously your struggles with meeting the parfum. We both had some of the same surprise and discomfort about how it really should be something else other than the entire direction vision where it was carried. Fahrenheit EDT has a down to earth atmosphere and toughness that is so different from the high vanilla society bourbon glasses clinking at the grand dance ball party idea the parfum maker brought to the mix.

I own 2 bottles of the original,that is the best in my opinion,i love the petrol kind of opening it gives off,i'm 55yrs old,so i own lot's of vintage fragrance's, i own around 700 fragrances ,niche etc,i also have 1996 versions of jpg le male which are so strong!love your channel,and presentation!

Le parfum is easily in my top 3 most disappointing blind buys all time. The only great thing about it is the bottle looks great on the display stand. It's shockingly sweet right off the bat. My immediate split second mental reaction after the first spray was this isn't a man's cologne at all. It's not an intoxicating subtle sweet that you breathe in at the base of your nostrils and it stays low in your nose and settles low in your throat and chest. It's a syrupy sugar sweet that shoots way up your nasal cavity and lingers between your eyes and settles at the top of your throat and the back of your tongue. It dries down to nothing but powdery vanilla cake icing. That's it. It's a linear sweet powdered vanilla with no hints of anything else. There is literally zero situations in my life that I would want to show up and be associated with this scent. I dress in sharp suits and I do work in a competitive and professional environment and I would be embarrassed to wear this at where I work. I don't know who it's for because it won't even work as a proper perfume for any woman that takes herself seriously. It doesn't smell synthetic and made with quality ingredients but I can't see anyone but a highschool girl pulling this off.

I've smelled the original on testers but finally snuck a spray on skin. I think the edt is still very relevant in today's perfumerie. I really enjoyed it and bought a bottle of the aqua version off ebay. To me, it's similar to what Tom Ford Ombre leather is trying to do but the Dior is just better imho. I feel the Tom Ford is better quality but the Dior has a better artistic statement
I totally agree with your point, also I found the tom ford more " on trend" on what's happening in perfumery at the moment, whereas Dior Fahrenheit got this vintage touch that makes it more special !
