  • The original EDT revolutionized male perfumery by taking a bunch of floral notes and masculinizing it to the max. The Parfum took that DNA and modernized it so a whole new generation could appreciate it.

One of the best reviews i have ever watched. Your review is fantastic. Congrats! I can tell you that i tried at least 50 perfumes in my life and i have never smelt such a unique and amazing perfume! Yesterday i was looking for a new perfume in a shop and i never thought about trying fahrenheit. I am 42. When i describe what i was looking for in terms of scents, the experienced seller proposed me to try it....woah woah woah amazing scent! Nothing smells like this! A nuclear bomb! I have a collection of 25 perfumes at home including very expensive niche perfumes, i can tell you i am about to forget them all!!! after 25 years of perfume collection, i have found my all time signature! The EDT is spectacular. What a authentic perfum, the uniqueness is amazing.

I have both the EDT & EDP, but love the EDT the most because I love the aroma of the EDT.
I have also used the older batches from about 20-22 years ago and I can confirm that the modern versions are watered down. Back in the day, you would smell it on your clothes days after. Not so these days. Dior have let us down.

I have the EDT for several years now and I love it. After this very good comparison I will definitely try the EDP as well. Thank you!

I'm 58 and I bought the Fahrenheit EDT probably in 1988. I also remember a college young lady who recognized it immediately.
I used it for awhile till it ran out. I went a few decades and bought it again, last October?
I really like it. It's my favorite and I am proud to wear it.
    It is awesome.
Now I am considering Habit Rouge Rouge Prive. I heard it is a leather scent, with similar qualities. I live in Germany since 2001 and it's available. I don't know what to do. I think I will stick with the Fahrenheit EDT.
I know it and appreciate the scent. Grey Flannel was also interesting but Fahrenheit is MORE interesting in my opinion.

Advisory: typical old fart rant incoming... The projection and sillage of the original was extraordinary - it electrified the air in a 10ft radius with something like a pheromone - it was too vulgar for daytime, but was a huge component of the London evening/nightlife of the late 80's and early 90s. If you were downwind, you could smell it coming before you saw the person wearing it. There has been nothing quite like it since, and the bottle I bought about 5 years ago gets very little use as its feebleness makes me sad. It's still very nice, though, and more suited to modern fragrance etiquette and tolerances. I wonder what the chemical was that excited and drove the mandarin and violet leaf like that...

Thanks for the video. I had the EDT version that lasted me for 7-8 years. All the EDT versions are sold out so I'm going to give the parfum edition of Farenheit a try. Love the fragrance, nothing else like it.

I have been a great fan of Fahrenheit EDT for years and I must say that over the years, the EDT fragrance has stuck to its original scent, but the recent productions (bought mine in 2022) are way too diluted. Thinking of trying the EDP. Kouros & Polo green are still in my collection.

All I get is leather. Maybe I'm over simplifying it, but it's mostly leather. I own the edt, but don't know when or where I'd wear it. But it is a must own for collectors

Leather is very detectable to me but the violet leaf is most prominent to my nose. I also seem to get more nutmeg than some people.

I have a bottle of EDT from 2022, it is terribly watered down, 4-5 sprays on the neck and it lasts for a maximum of 3-4 hours. If it weren't for the fact that I bought it in a well-known perfumery, I would think it was a fake.

But what isn't diluted anymore? Fragrance ingredients have suffered the fate of the cleaning chemicals, as more and more of the strong ones get outlawed, we end up with weak versions of them.

    • @olo9963
      @olo9963 21 วันที่ผ่านมา

@@AbcDino843 After further testing of the 2022 bottle, I found that the scent lasts on my skin for 7-8 hours. The problem is that they added the Iso E super molecule to the composition. This molecule causes nose blindness in many people (including me). One day I can smell it quite strongly on myself, another day, I have the impression that the parameters are zero. I don't know what it depends on, maybe temperature? pressure? air humidity? Interestingly, some people have the same problem with ambroxan, which is in Sauvage. Browsing a certain forum, I noticed that already in 2015 (right after the premiere) some people complained that they couldn't smell Sauvage on themselves, almost at all, and they were surprised by the fact that people around them asked what perfume they were using. I, on the other hand, smell ambroxan in an intrusive way, 2 sprays of Sauvage EDP are enough and the scent accompanies me for 10 hours, with a larger amount it starts to suffocate me.

As far as I'm aware it also got loads of Iso E Super, which I personally also love in Terre d'Hermes or on its own in Molecule 01 even. Just got a bottle of Fahrenheit EDT and I'm loving it. Although some may disagree, I think it's perfectly fine to wear in your mid 20s and luckily it isn't as popular as it was 10-20 years ago so it stands out among the clouds of BR540, Aventus and Sauvage dupes that dominate some larger cities!

While I hate the term “panty dropper” and won’t even watch a video with it in the title, women absolutely loved the original 80s EDT and it made them weak. It was kind of my signature scent back then. I have no idea how reformulated the current version is because I have heeded all of the warnings and stayed away. The new Fahrenheit Le Parfum is an absolute masterpiece. They are foolish for not making it widely available. I will always try to keep it in my collection as long as I can find it.

I remember Fahrenheit in the Late 80s early 90s and I loved it. It got me some compliments. It was definitely the EDT and not parfum because I would never have paid the price for that. I bought the edt today and it is really horrible! It has a chemical, sort of toilet cleaner smell. I went straight to the bathroom to wash it off my arm, I couldn’t stand it. £70 down the drain. I applied another armful to see if it would smell better later, but it never altered. The parfum would have to be very much better, but there’s no way I’ll risk it.

@@jazzman1626 Fahrenheit Le Parfum is worth every dollar, pound, or euro it costs. I wore it Saturday just to remind myself of how great it is, and when I woke up Sunday morning it was still projecting. It is truly is a masterpiece. Be kind to yourself and just get it.

Thanks for your comprehensive review & comparison!! I'm 44 and never smelt either. I've ordered a 2ml decant of the EDT, arrives next week. Next week I'll be ordering a 2ml decant of Le Parfum. If all goes well I assume I'll buy a bottle of Le Parfum, from the Dior website in Australia - can buy Eau Sauvage Parfum too - same price for 100ml. I have eau sauvage EDT (2019) and love it but want to step it up. Your accent sounds a bit Australian too. haha

The first time I ever smelled Sauvage EDT (about 2016), I absolutely thought it smelled like Fahrenheit! I think the lavender/ambroxan combination in Sauvage reminded me of the gasoline accord from Fahrenheit.
But through the years I've tested both of them a lot, and have been exposed to many other fragrances. Now I don't find them that similar.

It is very specific and special, i know not everyone will like it but I feel like its just something different from all the eroses and sauvages…. Also bought spicebomb extreme and havent worn it one day so far I always pick the Fahrenheit. I also have versace eros flame and my mom and gf said it doesnt smell good on me so Im looking forward to feedback from fahrenheit… i already know Im going to buy this again.
