    More than helpful! I hadn’t touched my rotary tool although I’ve had it for a couple of months now, because I hate reading instructions and all the parts were intimidating 😂Thanks to you I put the whole thing together! I would love to see a video of acrylic engraving and cutting! I can’t get the right settings to cut!

    I can't thank you enough! You did such a great job at explaining this entire process. I was so intimidated until I watched you. ❤️

    This is a great video. Just ordered my M1 after months of research and of all the videos I watched, this was the most informative by far. Thank you!

    Thank you for such a great and detailed video. It helped me get over the anxiety of setting up my RA2 Pro for the first time. I just finished my first set of wine glasses as an anniversary gift for my brother and they turned out awesome!

    Excellent tutorial! I’m waiting for my M1 this week and I was wondering, would this painting technique work on acrylics?

    Thank you so much for your video! It was a huge help! I’ve been etching my glasses by hand the past year, along with so many other things and this tool leveled up my small business 🎉
    *Question: I had the same l chalk paint on hand that you used. What I noticed is that it came off most of my glass but the area where the design was most intricate, it did not. I’ve scrubbed and can’t get it off. Any suggestions?

    Great video. My only problem is when I'm framing the glass the chuck rotates the glass around twice and not in the area where the design is set to go. I have everything lined up and the design is in place. Do you, by chance, have a fix for this? Thanks.

    This is amazing thank you! I have some square glass jugs- do you think this is something that I could engrave with the M1- would the rotary tool be required? Thank you

    Great video. I like the chuck facing out as well but you need to move the whole setup to the other end. The drive gear is on the wrong side to just turn the chuck the other way. I wish you did not have to do that.

    Thank you for this! Do I need a rotary to with the support thing for wine glasses? or can I just somehow prop the glass in there to that it is levelled and stable? THANK YOU :)

    • @KarleyHall
      @KarleyHall  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As long as it stays even when it rotates- you’re good to go! When you frame it- you should be able to tell if it’s shifting.

  • @stevejones01
    @stevejones01 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The thing on the left side that supports the glass is called a "tail stock" and the tiny little screws are called "set screws".

    hey so i see a problem, if you turn the chuck part round the opposite way to do things with a handle, then how does the belt go on as its then in the wrong place?

  • @vondabrooks9467
    @vondabrooks9467 ปีที่แล้ว

    Don't now if this would be helpful to you or not; but I got the same cracking around the edges you were speaking of (not as clean a cut)with the settings you used, so I played around with the settings a bit and made an adjustment in the speed (slowed to 73) and the Lines per cm - changed to 200 (tried 140 - was ok, 180 - a little better). Give it a try. Hope it helps.

    • @KarleyHall
      @KarleyHall  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ooh! Thank you so much for the comment! I could not figure out any settings that were crack free- even with a test grid! I cannot wait to try these. I’ll definitely report back! Thanks again! 🥰

    Hello, Karley. My sister and I are considering a tool such as this. I would be most grateful if you could tell me the difference between the xTool and a Glowforge. We're just not sure which way to go. Cost is not a major concern. TIA

    • @KarleyHall
      @KarleyHall  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The glowforge is a CO2 laser and the xtool is a diode laser. Diode lasers are much less powerful and cannot cut through light colors since the light is reflected. I would recommend a glowforge if cost isn’t an issue with the caveat that it cannot engrave cylindrical objects like cups! What are you looking to use your laser for? They both have so many benefits so it really just depends on what you want to use it for!
