The guidelines were awesome. Of course XTool has updated XCS since this video was made. The basics were the same and the video was helpful. I can say the settings really do vary by machine. I ended up using 70% power, 40% speed And 240 lines per cm. These settings delivered excellent results. Thanks for the video!
The blogger explained very professional, very careful, for our manufacturer to produce blank cup very need such equipment and technical guidance to carve it well, our tumbler cup surface is powder coating, suitable for multiple equipment to carve, and the bottom there are gold and rainbow 🌈 color, carved like a luxury❤
I've been using the roller wheels for a while with no problem, but I just got a job request using powder-coated mugs and need to use the rotary. thank you for this!
Great tutorial; however, the metal business card setting ruined a Yeti I have; I have to use the stainless steel dog tag. Of course, mine says "Metal Card" without the word business; I wouldn't think that makes a difference? Thanks!
Framing question: when I set up my design in XCS, it looks fine proportionally, but when I frame it frames all but the whole tumbler? i double checked my perimeter what I measured and entered is correct
You will get the best result if it's level. You can tilt the tumbler in the holder so the tapered side is level. The pink one in this video is tapered and it came out great.
The best tutorial on engraving with the M1 I have seen. Well done!
Thank you!

Glad it was helpful!
Super informative and gone through at a great pace! Thank you so much!
You're very welcome!

Thank you for explaining. I’m a little confused with the blocks why we need to put them under the xtool
The rotary tool is too tall to sit inside the machine. You need to raise it on blocks so the laser sits above your tumbler.
Have you been able to engrave on ones with a handle?
I haven't personally tried it yet. But in the xTool community group on Facebook there are lots of success stories.
Framing question: when I set up my design in XCS, it looks fine proportionally, but when I frame it frames all but the whole tumbler? i double checked my perimeter what I measured and entered is correct
so the "highest point" for the red dot means the middle of where my design will be?
When I try framing my project my whole tumbler spins right around instead of framing just the area to be engraved
what setting do you use? Power, Speed, Bitmap mode?
You're very helpful thank you!
I always use the roller everything I try to use the chuck it stretches the design. How do I stop this. Please help
Can you engrave on Yeti brand tumblers?
Yes you can!
Have you engraved on wooden spoons with your x tool?
Yes I have. I use spoons with a flat handle.
can I make my own risers in my woodwork shop? BTW great video
Yeah you definitely could.
Can you do a Stanley 40 oz tumblr with this?
Yes you can
@@SarahVanderkooydo you usually wear glasses when the laser is on the riser base?
If you use a smaller tapered tumbler how do you get it to level or do you need to?
You will get the best result if it's level. You can tilt the tumbler in the holder so the tapered side is level. The pink one in this video is tapered and it came out great.
How long did it take you to engrave this design?
Can you engrave on tumblers for sublimation?
Yes you can.
