On 2006 Tacoma 2wd with a 2.7l engine you have more issues. The plastic coolant by pass line will fail dumping your anti freeze and cause your engine to overheat. I had ine replce with the updated metal one Next, you can not remove oil pan unless you pull the engine out of the truck. There is a metal cross bar you can't revove blocking you from dropping the oil pan.If you have a timing chain cover leak and have to replace the 4 o-rings (2 for the engine coolant going to and from water pump, or 2 o-rings for the oil pump) you will have to remove oil pan to reseal it properly thus remove the engine.
