Though i headcanon Alucard found his friendship with Greta of Danaste similar to that of Trevor and Sypha. Like what would have happened with a certain Grant Danaste in the original timeline....
I imagine that Marie will be plenty traumatized from seeing Terra become a vampire, but Alucard will be there as a shoulder for her to lean on, having plenty of experience dealing with that kind of baggage.

Well, she's specifically referred to as a descendant, just like the Morris family. Konami later revealed that the Morris family was descended from one of Trevor and syphas's daughters marrying a man named Morris. So, the fact that she is referred to as a 'descendant ' and not a 'relative' leads me to believe otherwise.

It's not like Belmonts would leave their duty to become speakers even the female belmonts as we see from Julia still uphold the family name and purpose

Well, you're kinda crossing continuities with that logic. Julia is exclusive to the Netflix continuity.
In the actual canon, none of the female belmonts keep the name after marrying. They become the matriarch of a new branch.
According to the family tree given by Konami, Trevor and syphas daughter Ann married a man named Lloyd Morris, starting the Morris branch and making quincy, John, and Jonathan Morris Ann's direct descendant.
Trevor and syphas second daughter Mary married a man named Leo hellsing, starting the hellsing branch and making 'Bram smoker's draculs' Abraham van hellsing her descendant.
Christopher belmont had a daughter named Amanda who married a maned from the Ericson family, thus making an Ericson branch that we never hear about.
Konami also gave sypha more backstory, revealing that ,prior to meeting Trevor, the belnades clan had been wiped out by carmilla, and she was the last one left. And so, every belnades, post-sypha, are her and Trevor's descendants, with one having at one point retaken her family name and revived her family practices.
So characters like Charlotte aulin and yoko belnades, while declaring themselves part of the belnades clan , are descended from trevor as well.
Konami kinda went nuts at one point with the whole 'everyone is belmonts ' thing.
Igarashi has even implied that shanoa is secretly a belmont.

The get along in a very similar way to their counterparts from Rondo of Blood/Dracula X Chronicles, which is awesome.
It is a little similar, although Maria is more childish and much more innocent due to being younger in the games.

I love this show's style of humor, it's funny without being over the top and cringe inducing, and just makes them more akin to actual people calling out each other's flaws. I'm so glad they kept it from the first series. I hope they actually do more with these two next season!
I hope they will explore Maria's PTSD of what happened to her mother turning into a vampire and Elizabeth almost turning her (you could really see the fear in her eyes as she was trying to push Elizabeth back).
I'm honestly more excited to see her more than Ricther next season considering it's her parents that the big bad screwed over.
Unless they pull more shenanigans with the source material (which they will lol), she's not that interesting of a character. They'll have to sacrifice Richter to flesh out the excessively changed character of both Maria and Annette.
Her getting knocked out by Elizabeth before seeing anything else that happened was probably the best thing for her.
Similar to when Dracula found out his wife was killed, you can tell something died on the inside of Maria when Richter told her why he chose to become a vampire hunter

If this is how I imagine Nero’s relationship with Patty for Devil May Cry 6. With her being his hunting partner, despite the little history she had with Dante in the 2007 Anime. Then that’s exactly what Capcom should do before they announce it. I can also seen Nero having her mother as his. Since it’s been a long time since he did had one while growing up with Kyrie. While they should explain everything about who his real mother was, what her relationship with Vergil was like. Especially explaining what happened to Sparda, & why he disappeared, before Mundus was resurrected to get revenge by killing his family.

In the games Maria falls for Alucard when she gets older... Though the timeline here is a lot different. Richter and Maria meet Alucard meet far sooner than in the games. Also Elizabeth isn't a thing till AFTER Richter gives up the whip. Techincally Richter's big bad would be the dark priest Shaft if they even mention him... Aside from the usual Dracula

I loved this show. It was really good in character development. Definitely am annoyed at the ending where Maria’s mom gets turned and richter and the others are forced to retreat. But now that alucard is back and possibly going to bully richter like he did with Trevor, we should see better outcomes in season 2.
I think terra is going to be substitute for the bad end in dracula x chronicles where if you fail to save annette, you have to later fight the vampire she becomes, because she wants to turn you as well. I'm kind of guessing that either Alucard, or Juste will have to step in and kill her, because these two probably don't have what it takes to go through with it.

My one issue with Maria (other than her being a soap box Sadie; I hate that) is the studios choice to have her use the insult 'wanker'. Not to type cast, but in Hollywood, a character using that insult is tantamount to putting a big, flashing neon sign on them that says 'This Person is Low class British!". She's supposed to be low class French.😅

Richter and the thing with regaining his magic was dumb plus they made Anette unlikeable... not because she's black but she's too far off her og game version and she has no chemistry. She was dismissive with Richter too.
Richter is surprisingly incompetent in some scenes despite being a magic user also. Trevor literally killed death.
The actual plot is way too far off the games in comparison to the original series.
Vampires are nerfed and less threatening. Many vampires with great designs just wasted such as the hyped vampire lady with the shotgun.
I can get away with Sypher's powerful magic because she's a speaker magician (holy magic). Many humans with plot armor can just 2 shot vampires.
Night creatures are boring, plot to block out sun is nonsensical and Erzsbet being an Egyptian goddess is too far off her original. She could have just been a Dracula fanatic which would have made him relevant.
If they did a series on Isaac and Hector that would have been an awesome watch. Or a series on Simon Belmont with brief appearances from his parents.
This series is something not a lot of people asked for. I just think it's a massive flop + the staff involved are unlikeable assholes actively harassing people on Twitter.
first off if your grandpa killed death that doesnt mean you can 2 it's only the first season they can't make them kill all the bad guy at the start or what will they do from there and 3 you miss the point of 90% of the story@@george_3252
@@Dragoboi1998 actually the nature of Castlevania and The Belmont's is that each generation gets stronger than the last so that means that Richter actually can kill death. There actually is a problem with Richter being incompetent. During Richters time the Belmonts are suppose to be at the top of their game and all the knowledge and power that they've accumulated is now inside Richter. But the show just recycled Trevors backstory and even worse Richter has no source of knowledge to learn from. He didn't even know what a night creature was.
Aslo the point of the story is all over the place.
A lot of the hate towards Nocturne is politically motivated. Especially over some characters being black.

Bro Annette was what made the show good for me, why does she get hated on so much? She had an interesting backstory, i like her rich cultural narratives, and her character isnt annoying. These two are great together as well

I hope for more development with her father. I get a heavy Hector vibes from him, maybe even Isaac. I want him to be redeemed. And he actually seems to care and love Maria, at least somehow.

He loves Tera and Maria clearly it's just that he's super dumb making a deal with literal demons in the name of God at the moment.

The fact that is just 40 seconds long in 8 episodes with roughly 25 minutes each shows you how much time they focused on Annette and her stuff when the Story is supposed to be Richter's
Its much longer than that but eyeballing the series Annette had approximately 1 hour 30 minutes which is 3 episodes worth but really only 2 dedicated episodes so she does receive 1/3 of the screen time
Actually your overstating how much screentime how much Annette has. Its not that she has more screentime overall but its that at the halfway point of the season the trio was seperated and each doing their own thing. Ricther was dealing with his trauama and interacting with grandpa, Maria was dealing with her mother and father, Annette was doing her own thing too, and all balanced ejth the villains have screentime too.
Tellingly the episode where Ricther gained his magic back, that featured little of Maria or Annette.
Where’s this whole “Annette took up too much time” thing coming from? She got like one focus episode.

idk why but its their intention from the beginning that change all the original VAs from the previous series. Like, in Japanese dub, Alucard VA from SOTN did Netflix Trevor and Richter VA from SOTN Audio Drama(not game) did Netflix Alucard.
