Best of luck with your channel and your truck. I replaced mine with one from O'Reilly's, beat the snot out of it putting it in and have some residue under it that may be a leak or just some excess fluid around the hole that ran out. I'll be keeping an eye on it. I've had my channel for years and it's really tough trying to get the subscribers and watch time to monetize. I feel that TH-cam makes it so hard on us small guys starting out. I'm about ready to go all in on TikTok.

I wish you best of luck with your TikTok, I've notice the algorithm on youtube as well as other social media love's short form content. Long form content still has it's place but also short form can help your channel grow. I should follow my own advice lol.

hey brother.... appreciate you posting this... stupid simple job, but until you see what's done, invariably one spends a few days digging through blogs, etc to make sure you either don't break something or jack things up(pun intended) with unforeseen WTFs... I actually just put mine up on jacks, pulled the drive shaft and was ready to pull that sucker out of the trans when I decided to look CLOSELY at it from the driver's side. As luck would have it, I had been checking it from the passenger & it sure looked like that rear trans seal... NOPE... after retreating found this vid & was like "what a fortunate series of unfortunate events" to find this was a stupid simple job.... AND I'm not looking at jacking things up with the no emg brake & in neutral... which always makes for a non-paranoid, what-can-go-wrong, will-i-die-when-i-forget-to-have-5-failsafes-in-case-4-of-them-fail situation, enjoyable under-truck session. thanks & cheers!

I'm glad my video was helpful. Pulling a transmission is never fun and yeah its a pretty simple job to do, even better it only takes a new minutes.

Check the speed sensor on the tail housing of the transmission

Why did you change the seal? Was your speedometer acting wonky or was it leaking?

What I wanted to know was how much fluid came out when you removed it?

    • @willyworks52

When I pulled the speed sensor out not much fluid leaked out about a shot glass worth but I did end up adding about half a quart which my transmission was already low to begin with. I'd suggest getting a quart of transmission fluid just incase if you end up doing this yourself. Better to be safe then sorry, Hope this helped and thanks for watching and leaving a comment.

Shot Glass??? How about 2qts. I was not expecting 2qts to come pouring out. I made a mess listening to your half assed video. You never did say or show how it came out. Maybe when your hands look like they’ve done real man’s work, people would take you serious. That should’ve been a dead give away for me, you know nothing.
