I scanned my E46 yesterday and I got this , " no powertrain DTCs or freeze frame data is presently stored in the vehicle's computer " .. what does this mean ? Btw i don't have a check engine light on my car
I have hyundai sonata hybrid. Sometimes engine lights on and after days gone. I went autozone for use obd2 scanner but there is no code show up but engine lights still on. I brought to hyundai service but they didn’t found any code because they didn’t check when i bring my car with engine lights on. After day when they checked engine lights already gone and still no code. This is makes me so boring. For Any suggestions I really appreciate it.
I have a car that I know can run better. It seems slow to react but doesn’t have a check engine light on and passed a smog test. How can I check the fuel pressure??

Hey quick question.
I had an exhaust leak near the cat and manifold with a loud ticking sound. Mechanic welded it and “fixed” it. I dont hear the sound anymore. No engine lights.
However i am still getting lose of power up hills and some stuttering at low gears.
Could that be the exhaust leak wasnt patched up completely? Or does that sound like spark plugs? I know they need to be changed too.

I have a 2001 chysler voyager with a 3.3 i had the same issue i had shop replace plugs and wires but know small misfire remains thinking might be time for new fuel pump once tank is full of gas it goes away any though
Hello my friend, you 3.3 uses a coil pack, not coil on plug set up. You very well could have a coil pack failure. Also this year model had problems with the wiring harness in the rear melting together.
I have a 2014 Durango, all sparks, boots, lower & Upper intake seals, as throttle seal are Mopar new from last maintenance 6 months ago. On cold start it misses, and rpm goes from 1300 to 1500 before coming down to idle, once warm or at operating temp the miss only comes when no load (when you let go the throttle) and rpm come from 2000 to 1500. I do have verify the miss with a misfire counter. What could it be?
Coils or fuel pressure issue, fuel filter even a pump? Try some fuel injector cleaner to put in your gas tank. Hope this helps
Howdy JT, decent video perfectly showing an example of an issue without a DTC, not many folks realize that can happen until it happens to them lol, my PT runs a bit rough as well but i think i've got that handled, the O-ring on my fuel pump was in dire need of replacement and caused quite an intermittent vacuum leak. I wanted to ask if a vaccum leak in the fuel tank COULD cause a P2074 "MAP/TPS correlation, vacuum leak" but as I can't find a leak in my engine bay I can only assume so (otherwise my TPS is just busted). That's not my big issue though, feel free to ignore that question as your time is valuable, instead I REALLY wanted to ask whether or not the wires/harness that leads to the transmission are located under the battery??? I get a VERY intermittent P0882 code (TCM power input signal low) and I bought this '06 with known problems and solved every single one but these two, I was told specifically "the battery leaks on the harness under the battery". the battery is fine- but if it even did leak AT ALL, does that make logical sense? are the leads running from the TIPM to the transaxle running under the battery???? Im hoping a flash update will fix this if i can't find any busted wires...
Hey bud, 2 things, yes there are connections under the battery that travels from the TIPM to the transmission that can become a problem. A good visual inspection should show any problems. You will have a hard time tracking down a P0882 problem on a PT. I did a video on this once. My conclusion was that because a used TIPM only about 30 dollars at a junk yard, as well as a PCM, it would be easier to gamble with that as oppose to paying a shop 200 to tell you you need a 700 TIPM. But most of my diagnosis on this code pretty much always led to a TIPM. Thanks for watching,

It might be the PCM then cuz this is the third TIPM I've put on from a pick-n-pull, and this one's in the best shape, the 882 codes was somewhat constant for all 3. BUT that doesn't mean it's still not the TIPM, I'll keep at it. You're the best JT

My 2006 dodge ram is acting like a bad coil pack or bad spark plug but it's only happening when I'm in 5th gear and I'm rolling onto the throttle but there's nothing in the computer and I don't have a very fancy scan tool
What app do you use for that? I really need to find out what's going on with this thing.

im having a similar problem but i changed the spark plugs and wires i cleaned the map sensor and the throttle body nee fuel filter and air filters ,no vacuum leak either i dont have a clue what to try next

How would you know which coil is bad? Any experience on off-brand ignition coil performance?
Usually ya scan tool would tell you what cylinder having the problem, from there the coil to the cyl can be tested..Did you have any codes? Also are you subscribed to the channel?
@@OnlineMechanicTips no codes w/ Ancel ad410. hesitation/ jerking at idle, worse after driving 15 min. Cleaned throttle body, mass air flow sensor, changed spark plugs, and added some fuel injector cleaner.
Lost forward acceleration the other day. Reverses fine, but rpm just goes crazy barey moving forward.
Going to change mass air flow sensor, throttle body, ignition coils, intake/exhaust solenoids, and cam shaft sensor.
Hoping one of those does the trick.😂
I had misfire with my 2016 T&C and no check engine light..then after 20 minutes driving came on..turned off,getting it back today they said it was ignition pack coil,now i will see which one was replaced,might i add it was at idle and driving
Yes, same issue with this one. But on part 2 I will show how to get to this point. I just hate when techs give up because the check engine light not on. That doesn't mean there's not a problem.

Another good video brither...I love your videos. I hae am 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.7 thatI bought used 1 month ago and it ran pretty good! I finally changed the spark plugs becayse it was hard starting...intermittent ...possible starter but this time it started and it ran really rough and the idle ran really rough and the vehicle had little power and it threw a P0302 code and finally got it hoome and the next day, I had changed all the spark plugs...they needed to be chanhed (hmmm...how long has this truck sat...) and I changed all the ignition coils and it still runs like shit (sorry...be then I wanted to drop kick the dam vehicle)...no more engine light codes but it runs like shit...I need to get the cylinder check I guess...SMH...piece of shit...

@@OnlineMechanicTips evey time i buy them lol,its not often i have to buy them but once in a while. on the carbureted stuff they ore not very forgiving, they get a little flooded once you may as well fire em away...
I will attest to the sporadic reliability of Champion spark plugs and here's why. My 2011 Ford Taurus 3.5 V6 had a terrible intermittent misfire under load 2000-2200 rpm 50 mph to 70mph. I had never worked on my Taurus because its under warranty. Well, my hunt to fix the car revealed some of the most shady botched mechanic service I EVER experienced. The engine was replaced last year with 141K (failed water pump& timing chains). The dealership in question DOES NOT REPAIR they simply REPLACE. . SO they put a used 2009 Ford Edge engine in my 2011 Taurus that already had Champion spark plugs in it. The ignition coils had mangled rubber boots on 3 out of 6 cylinders! Boom there's the misfire culprit. Never got a Check Engine light because 1 off the fuel injectors had leaked into the cylinder long enough that it shorted the PCM which is a pretty common problem with that Ford engine. Another red flag while I'm at it, my engineering mode would not work, WHY?? because the engine did not match my cars PCM! I'VE got the car running really good, however, I can hear a whistling noise coming from the plennum which is either a Check valve or its the water pump weep hole making noise in which case I'll repeat the nightmare of another engine having to be installed which this time it'll be out of pocket because my warranty has expired! The Taurus is a beast but its a nightmare after 120K
I am having a similar problem with a 2016 dodge challenger SXT, vehicle only has about 33k miles on it, I recently got new spark plugs, cleaned out the fuel injectors and the throttle body, got a new engine air intake filter and swapped out the old fuel filter with a new one, the vehicle runs a lot more smoothly new and sounds a much smoother, but it still has this problem of bucking/shaking while stationary especially if you have it in gears, and also jerks/stutters when lightly accelerating.
There is no check engine light, I took it to a mechanic and he scanned it with what looked like a modern scan tool on two different occasions and he got zero fault codes. It'd be great if someone could help me find the issue as this is quite annoying when driving and I can't seem to find the issue.

@@leahminer4494 Yes, turns out it was just a malfunctioning ignition coil, swapped it out with a new original one and it the car works just fine now.

@@leviellerbe I fixed it now, turns out it was just one of the spark plugs that had gone bad and was causing a misfire in cylinder 3, which caused the jerk feeling, I swapped it out with a new one and it works just fine now.

How do a car sound like a misfire???? Keep in mind bud, theres a difference between a misfire and a rough idle. Make sure you addressing the correct symptoms. Also are you subscribed to the channel?
Try the fuel filter bro!!! And put some fuel injector cleaner in yo tank of gas
