Even though Tom and Lucy were more in the background compared to the last film, their little moments together were still adorable, and nice to watch. 💞
Lucy was super background in Downton Abbey! I still can't tell you much about her other than generically pleasant. I shipped Tom with Edith's editor replacement, another self-made one!
I doubt it. This one had an air of finality. SPOILERS Tom (the only "Crawley child" without a happy ending) finally got one- happy marriage, second child, loving stepmother for Sibbie. The Dowager Countess passed away. Thomas (butler) left Downton permanently to join a more LGBT-friendly circle of people. And the rest of the servants with will-they-won't-they romances got paired up permanently. I'm not sure what other stories they would tell around the Crawley kids.
All well and good but Sybil was truly the only one for him. Plus I preferred that more younger version of Tom, not the one who conformed to the ways of the upper class.
@@audreykennedy90Early Tom was a product of growing up in Ireland under brutality of the British authorities. Becoming a single father is what mellowed him.

Love these movie clips of downtown abbey a new era coming up, keep up the good work!
“Downtown”😅
From afar, that French countess looks like Isobel with more make-up and slightly more stylish clothes.
“So that’s alright.” Understated English romance
Wow, except for Tom and Lucy, everyone looks like they’ve had face lifts.
Some of the actors lost weight; it’s obvious just by looking at them.
@@SnowLeopardForever Yes, and when you lose weight, you skin get's saggy. Hence the face lifts.
Is there going to be another Downton Abbey movie ??
I hope not. This one was already getting a big stilted. And now the Dowager Countess has gone it is time to stop.
I doubt it. This one had an air of finality.

No early Tom was always angry and had no business marrying Sybil with all that anger and chip on his shoulder.
@@audreykennedy90 Early Tom was fundamentally correct in his opinions. Then he got assimilated. Resistance was futile
Indeed. Downton Abbey is a lovely series and I like it, but in the end is a conservative fantasy about nice rich people.
