Yes, yes. The lock just had a break in the cables. There was no need to change the complete lock. Only new, thicker wires were installed and the problem was solved for €5.

Hi. My e46 330d showed dde and immediately cut off. Now it just cranks and wont start. I can hear the pump priming, ive checked fuses they are all ok. If i leave the car for a few days, it will start. But driving, after a few minutes it will show dde then cut off and wont start again. Any ideas?

I have changed the ignition and all the time I thought it is the ews module syncing with the main Computer. I've done 100's of reprogramming Epromd, circuit boards, phones, you name it. It will be the ews out of sync with Computer. I just haven't purchases the patch cables to connect to one of my dedicated Computers. I already have the official BMW Service Software, just not the energy to deal with it due to many health issues!!! You gave an extremely poor reply especially when you post a video stating you knew what was wrong with the BMW in your video! When I 1st bought this 2006 BMW X5 E53 4.4i SUV it would for no reason not turn over or start. I figured out a sequence to have the computer go thru the default security settings, then re-sync the key to Computer and presto, it would start right up. Then one day I got in it and samevthing except that time when I fully went thru my sequence it still didn't start. Pissed I went in the house ate lunch and decided to try to start. It started right up. I park all vehicles inside my secure acre so drove a few feet, shut off restarted and did 5 times before leaving property. I did notice when getting onto the road it cut out completely but just for a second and then ran fine. I drove to a local store with it performing fine. Parked and shut off. Tried to re start it and it just turned over (1st time for this issue) Shopped and when back to vehicle went thru all connections starting at the battery out. My reply offended you that's alright but the truth is there are many reasons why a car wouldn't start, just throwing parts at it is not always the best approach but someone can certainly try that route and get lucky. Unless it's a well known and discussed issue with particular vehicle, the short answer is get a diagnostician to figure it out if diy didn't help.
I have a 2004 BMW 325i....I've replaced the spark plugs ignition coils MAF sensor fuel pump....fuel pump relay.....fuel pump fuse....gas cap.....bleeder valve...air filter and sender unit for fuel pump. All this in the past 7 months. However, yesterday the car has a crank no start condition. Also, I stopped hearing the fuel pump when I put keys in the ignition. Is it possible the fuel pump already went bad or is faulty??
I had crank no start replaced fuel pump. Worked fine next morning no start again. Had done plugs 3 months ago and kept bypassing that as an issue. Took 3 days of headache pulled plugs and all were bad. Check plugs. After I changed the plugs with ngk iridium’s it cranked right up.

And won’t start 😩 he’s only just bought it in June 2021 only 50,000 miles, how can a car woke the day before and the morning not start? Apparently two cylinders aren’t working and 3rd cylinder low, fuel pump checked ok no sign of faults ignition test ok too, apparently they would have to send off cylinders and take head off which costs sooo much money now they saying write it off????? Anything is possible with cars. I currently have one with 50,000 km 2018 model, lost 3 cylinder compression already. Very bad engineering. Ask the mechanic where is the compression leaking to. I would take it some place else to get second opinion if they couldn't answer that question. they you will know real fix and pricing.
BMW has a warranty on the timing chain up to 70,000 miles , they lost a class action lawsuit. Should be a free repair at BMW . Make sure who ever u took it to puts it back together the correct way . Then take it to BMW
Hi, my BMW X3 2.0 diesel 2007 has intermittent crank but no start problem when the temperature gauge is in red even if the engine is cold. It will start when the temperature gauge is in cool position. Any idea regarding this problem?

@andrew190e no. I tried all the suggestions given but the problem remained. My car has been sitting in the garbage for 2 yrs now. 1 technician suggested to repair the ecu but to no avail. Yes there was a suggestion to change the jbu module. I’m still considering to try it but the expense is holding me back unless someone could assure me that indeed it is he problem.

I would just roll windows down & closed, lock the x5 with key fob then unlock with key a couple times get in close door hold foot on break and it would start. But sometimes not. Then I drove to store and it just turned over but wouldn't start. I bought the ignition part you mention from ebay and same thing. Crank but no start . 1 more thing, The ignition key stuck in start position when I 1st got in it from store when it wouldn't start, the key would stick in start position. I could manually turn the x5 off. Can't afford to pay what the BMW shop wsnts. What do you suggest???
same problem. My n42 bmw shut down during ride and did not start anymore? Replaced fuel pump, crank sensor, both camshaft sensors and spark plugs. Error codes gives misfires etc. U think it might be ign switch? Bmw e46 coupe 2002?

I have a e38 which do not crank. Replaced the starter since the old one clicked. Everything lights up fine. Changed the battery, grounded the engine to the chassi, tried to jump start it and switched the relays but nothing. Only thing that makes it start is jumping the starter. Can it be the ignition switch?
Possible but it looks more like starter motor or starter circuit fault as in relay, fuse, control, wiring etc. Worse case seized engine. Good luck bro.
Not the best trouble shooting method. Just because one car has an issue doesn't mean another car that has similar symptoms has the same issue. 9 out of 10 times if a bmw has a crank no start issue it is NOT going to be the ignition switch
I've got a question for you. I have a 2001 bmw X5 4.4l. I've just replaced the fuel pump ect. But it cranks and starts and occasionally it cranks no start, takes a while and eventually it starts, I also get the trans failsafe come in and out just randomly, lately it was trans failsafe but starting fine, and all of a sudden trans failsafe has gone but it cranks and has issues starting

That's good to know that the faulty ignition switch below the cover is the cause but did you try taking a screwdriver or small hammer and tapping on it and see if that would resolve the problem? Outside of replacing it?
Not the issue in my 2006 BMW X5 E53 4.4i. It will more than likely be the security system (ews module) Found out it's to this day a huge problem. Bypass the ews or security system should perfectly fix it. There are companies that you can send your ews module to and they reset it which I'm going to do soon. So many people make a video with a fix like key, ignition module, relay, fule, fuel pump etc...
I have a bmw 116i 2005 I drove it for about 5 mins then stopped turned the it off then went back about 2 minutes later and it was like there was no power I tried jump start it and it sounded like it had run of gas but could smell fuel. I have a BMW 530i , she cranks but won’t start . She will start if I spray started fluid in the intake, then stalls immediately . I’ve replaced the alternator , the fuel pump & relay . Checked all fuses they work and I’m getting power To all sources . I don’t know what’s next . Any help on what you think it might be ?

The car sometimes shut off while driving and need to wait few minutes to start and also sometimes also all light comes up and car goes to limp mode, thought it was cause by ICV, already replace same issue, hopefully its just the ignition switch.

Hi, I have a problem with my Mini Cooper s r56 not start. The only code the mini have is: A0B4 The mini was on taking it out of the garage when it suddenly turned off. The first Scanner have these codes: 2781 2775 2D52 *2DCA* 275F 272F I changed 4 spark plugs, 4 coils, the Camshaft Position Sensor and a new battery. But it did not turn on, now it is giving these codes: 005E31 009314 *00A0B4* 00932D 009CB5 I deleted them and it only gives me this code: ( A0B4 ) The mini starter good but not start. I try the new battery and it says it's ok, but when I test the battery with the terminals mounted on the Mini Cooper it says it's bad I don’t now why. I also reset the new battery in the mini system with the scanner but nothing. ( A0B4 )
At this stage I do not know how to help. Give me more information on what have you checked. Is it no crank or no run. I would love to help but when someone says no start, there's 500 different reasons I can think of why would a car won't start.

I can give you 150 reasons why it wouldn't start, so that very little information plus a good mechanic should get you out of trouble just fine.

Mine is starting in the morning nicely but when the engine is get hot is getting hard start when i want to start again

change your crank sensor. if not, then cam sensor. crank sensor is more likely

@ Yes. It was valvetronic motor. It was in wrong position and didnt work anymore. You can manually turn it in correct position.

Very possible, just simple diagnosis would eliminate possibilities of issues like relays fuses and wiring.

I have a 735i 1991 it cranks and occasionally starts with a very low idle then switches off , any ideas?
Many reason that can do that but start with cleaning throttle body and idle controller.

Sounds complicated when it's intermittent. Follow the procedure on the video but you need to catch it when it's playing up.

I have a bmw 116i 2005 I drove it for about 5 mins then stopped turned the it off then went back about 2 minutes later and it was like there was no power I tried jump start it and it sounded like it had run of gas but could smell fuel. It will crank while it has jumper leads on but just won't fire ne ideas to help would be great as I have only had it for 2 weeks
That's just not enough information. Many possibilities.
I have the same problem. Checked everything I have no spark. Seems like there is no power coming to the coil pack
I'm having a current brain racking problem with my 2012 f10 528i no Crank no Start..and it's just now showing the red warning ⚠️ sign for drivetrain malfunction. Could it possibly be the same.. cause that would be an easy fix..oh and I also heard a clinking noise like it was coming from my rear wheels

I have a BMW 530i , she cranks but won’t start . She will start if I spray started fluid in the intake, then stalls immediately . I’ve replaced the alternator , the fuel pump & relay . Checked all fuses they work and I’m getting power To all sources . I don’t know what’s next . Any help on what you think it might be ?
Many thing could cause that. Most probable cause could be, no fuel getting in the rail, no injector control, immobiliser etc.
I got the same issue on a 2007 x3.. how did you fix the issue? Run on starter fluid only.

Very much so. Pretty sure none of the computer is awake at that point.
@@a1mechanicaloakey639 I have check but I have already replaced the fuel pump, crank sensor..check all fuses & relay all seem ok. The car sometimes shut off while driving and need to wait few minutes to start and also sometimes also all light comes up and car goes to limp mode, thought it was cause by ICV, already replace same issue, hopefully its just the ignition switch.

This guy just said that car car went to. 2 shops for 8 months then a BMW specialist , then went to the BMW dealer and they could not figure the problem out 😂😂 😂😂😂😂 this guy must be smoking crack 😂😂😂 Bro it’s a IGN switch ! Any local fly by night mechanic can figure out a bad ign switch . Why would u tell these ppl that a BMW dealer could not fix it ? Yet only u were able to ? 😂😂😂

If you want to comment more. Explain to me how ignition switch works in this car. Why there was no communication with any of the modules. Otherwise just disappear.

I own my own repair shop And car dealerships .. i work for my self And have been an owner since the age of 25 . The fact that u are explaining how a simple old school ignition switch works to a bunch of viewers on TH-cam that are obviously not professional technicians is wonderful . What made me laugh is when u said that this simple problem went to shops and a BMW expert and. BMW dealer and they could not figure out the problem ! Hi, I have a problem with my Mini Cooper s r56 not start.
The only code the mini have is: A0B4
The mini was on taking it out of the garage when it suddenly turned off. The first Scanner have these codes:

2D52
*2DCA*

272F
I changed 4 spark plugs, 4 coils, the Camshaft Position Sensor and a new battery. But it did not turn on, now it is giving these codes:
005E31
009314
*00A0B4*
00932D
009CB5
I deleted them and it only gives me this code: ( A0B4 )
The mini starter good but not start.
I try the new battery and it says it's ok, but when I test the battery with the terminals mounted on the Mini Cooper it says it's bad I don’t now why. I also reset the new battery in the mini system with the scanner but nothing.

Best suggestion is to take it to a good technician. that's just not enough information there to give you any technical advice.
This is a problem, where I am there are no mechanics who work with Mini Cooper. I only need a idea.

At this stage I do not know how to help. Give me more information on what have you checked. Is it no crank or no run. I would love to help but when someone says no start, there's 500 different reasons I can think of why would a car won't start.
