Something New, Familiar, but Different…Mugen Remix S2000 Hard Top!!!

8 months ago we posted a teaser of a Mugen-Remix Hardtop design and found a rendering on Instagram from @stevo.design. He modernized the 20+ year old look of the Mugen S2000 Hard top. We liked it so much, we asked for his permission to make this into a reality! Here is the newly designed Carbon Fiber Mugen-Remix Hard Top made possible by Ballade Sports.
The center roof line has a new body line closing out the original recess, while the left and right window lines have also been flushed out.
Original Mugen hard tops ran further back towards the trunk. Making contact when you opened the trunk lid fully. This new design has shortened the length. No more unwanted contact.
After over a years worth of development, this product is now ready to be sold to the public!!

A replacement rear window (glass not acrylic) with a defroster would be an amazing mod for the Mugen style hardtop. Damn near impossible to drive the car in winter because of how fast it fogs up, and with only front vents it takes a lifetime to defrost the rear window.

so you have fiberglass, how much does it weigh? Single carbon, and double layer carbon fiber. Can you tell me the logic of building 3 tops? Why would I chose one over another?

How’s the interior noise with it? Rattles?

No noise no rattles. Your thinking about all the other hard tops. We made a video about noise etc and how to resolve them
