Congratulations on your new bike. Very nice!
🙏 Thank you! I’ve been dreaming of this one for a while. 😁
hahaha 100% with the round headlight club. Love the 901, looks fantastic !
Congrats on the bike! She's beautiful! Love it!
Thank you! Sending you a DM on IG about trail rides…
I am thinking about buying one. Liked and subscribed. Looking forward to see your videos.
Hope I can help! 👍👍
Hey buddy, i know how you feel, this bike is stunning in appearance, i really like this bike alot, good for you man👊🏽😎🔥🔥‼️
I have the standard version and love it as well, congrats!
Thanks! Can’t wait to get it past the 600 mile break in and stretch that Tach out 😁
I bought a new 22 Himalayan in Green, and was at my KTM dealership and they had this 901 with hard panier luggage. Absolutely loved the looks. I'm glad I found your channel and subscribed.
Thank you! My Himalayan needs some love. Haven't ridden it nearly as much since I got the Norden.
Looks good!
🙏🙏 Thank you!
That's one hell of a bike! Congratulations! - Frank
Much appreciated! She’s tall but so much fun 🤩
@@advmike I hear ya. My 30" inseam is not quite enough for the 790 Advenure R 😁 - Frank
@@OneOldManRidingI’m 5’7 and have a 30” inseam. Sat on one at a dealership. It’s imposing and beautiful. One foot down work for me. But I’m used to riding taller bikes.
Just subscribed. Looking forward to watching more. 👍😎🇦🇺
Appreciate it!
4000 miles and I’m still in the honeymoon phase with my new bike too so I can totally relate to all those feelings. Congrats.
The GS is so epic. You've put some serious miles on that thing already!
I loved my Norden very much and still do, but the heat off that engine was a deal breaker for me, had to sell it
Hey man, this is probably the most beautiful adv bike out there right now😊
Much Enjoyment 👍😎
🙌 Thanks!
Ultimate adventure bike❤Expedition❤brutal bike🎉
I just got off my Expedition after riding all day in the blue ridge mountains of NC. Now have 3300 miles on it and love it more every ride.
The best deal and coolest ADV out there!
Enjoy and be safe!
🏍️💨
BRP is on my list! Thanks 🙏 You too!
@@advmike hope you get to real soon. Raised camping, hiking and now riding all over the blue ridge parkway. Going to ride all 469 miles here sometime soon. And so many other well known riding destinations near by to check out too. Tail of the dragon being the most famous.
Subscribing to follow your progress and see what all you do to yours. As of now I’ve only ordered the top soft luggage carrier that matches the topo side luggage that we get in the insanely good deal of the Expedition. Got the iPhone holder for gps Mount until I get gps unit too. Using RAM too right now. And getting some knobby tires for more off-road use soon too.
Ok, got to shut up as I could talk about it all day. About to ride again on the day off.
Enjoy yours and be safe! 🏍️💨
@@lukefish7562 😃 Love ALL of this! I use a Quad Lock (on a ram ball) for my phone mount and love it.
Awesome new bike 👍 The 901 was on my list as well.
Would be cool if we could do a side by side comparison of the Tiger and the Norden 🤔
Dont buy it its KTM 890 under skin most problematic adv bike with catastrophic engine problems
Beautiful bike mate, those Expeditions are mean
Much appreciated 🙏😁
I want one mostly because of that sick as hell skid plate
Liked and subscribed because I really appreciate the quality of information and your delivery. I also have to say that I think your new bike is probably one of the least attractive I've ever seen -- and that's not an insult, but an appreciation for the fact that riding covers such a huge spectrum and there is room for all of us. Looking forward to the new content, even if I think your RE was the classier option. 😉
Thank you! And I completely respect the opinion! 😁 Man I do miss seeing the INT in the garage. She’s a sweetheart I’ll never forget.
What are you riding??
That's quit an upgrade. 901E is top of the line for the price now with it's updates.
After about 500 miles, it has been everything I hoped it would be. Can't wait to get some bigger trips in with her.
Last suggestion…before you add bar raisers bring the handle bar towards you. There are three settings …it is literally a 15min adjustment max…
Love the engagement! Thank you brother!
I tried without the riser but still felt hunched over. Video in the works… 😉
Looks great. I can see the weight is only slightly more than the Interceptor. How does it carry? Does it feel top heavy (compared to the Interceptor)? Great it has tubeless wheels. What will you be doing with 105 HP? Give some of it to the Navi 🙂
Ha! I wish I could give about 5 horsepower to the Navi. The weight slung low and balances easy. I had a 2012 VStrom 1000 and it carried its weight really high. The KTM/Husqy fuel tank design is a game changer. The Int650 was lower to the ground, but similarly easy to balance. All that said, they're all weightless when they're rolling. 😆
Great ADV that! I def see the appeal. Quite difficult to get hold of in the UK. But, why didn't you sell the himalayan and keep the Interceptor?
Good question - I have a few more offroad skills I want to practice with the Himi since it’s smaller.
I’m also thinking of putting the Himalayan on a bike share site like RiderShare or Twisted Road.
this is that kind of bike where you come to dealer to drive 890R and after 5 minutes you buy this norden. Exactly like you said. You stop in middle of nowhere just to look at this machine.
after 2200km my honeymoon fase is even stronger :D
🤩 Yes! We’ll said 🙌
Thanks
Sure thing! 😁
if it wasn't for the "round headlight" it would the perfect motorbike
😆😆 The Round Headlight Club welcomes you whenever you’d like to join.
When you set the suspension up please would you be kind enough to lets us know your sag figures. Thanks.
Will do. Prepping that video now. There are like 5 different settings and the rear shock has two by itself.
Also get the ergonomic seat… it lowers your significantly…best addition I made
Are you on the Expedition? I thought I already had the ergo seat??
I added lowering foot pegs bar risers Bark Busters the heckler Style that goes over the existing White plastic hand grip deflectors. Changed out the exhaust to something lighter and smaller but not loud. Installed the heat shield on the rear shock. The larger and bigger footprint for the side stand. I then extended the shift Peg, making it easier to get your toes under the shifter with the lowering larger and wider footpegs. Mounted a adjustable aluminum fixture for the GPS with the Garmin on it. But i now I think the factory one would have been just fine made from black plastic, but I had already purchased it. And now the bike feels like it is custom-built for me. In my head anyway, LOL!
Love it! Which pegs did you do? Vanasche? I just got my bar riser and a few other things this week. Install video coming soon. ;)
@@advmike yes vanasche
Use the Roxs bar risers off my Triumph and they work perfectly got my givi crash bars that was for the KTM but work perfectly with the proper mounting kit I know a little Overkill but I wanted to be sure that the bike was well off the ground if I went down to save the side panels and it keeps the side skid plates looking decent The Givi bars can be re blacked out in the matter of minutes. Oh, and I took off the Husqvarna side bags and put on a tail Wolfpack Enduro bag. And the Dirt bag saddle bags, again left over from the tiger 800 xc , I like the Husky bags but will save them for touring travels and not to stress them on harder off-road / two track travels. 😀
@@advmike if you put those lowering foot pegs on it's going to make your brake lever way too high and I realize you can flip that over the change the height which mine was already on the lower setting so what I did is I bolted it to the bottom of the arm instead of the top and that lowered it about a half an inch which matched up with the one-inch lowering foot pegs perfectly so now the 25 mm Torx screws will be coming in from the bottom up through the grated brake foot Peg.
@@MADDOG100ful I didn’t think about that. Good call! I haven’t gotten them yet. Probably next month. 😉 Just got the bar riser for now.
Nice video, great bike ! On Apr 30 my 901 was destroyed by a distracted 18 yr old in an F150, when I am able, this will be the next bike for me.
I'm so sorry to hear about your bike! Hope you're ok!!
@@advmike Thanks, working through some knee and back injury's, hopefully will be back to riding sooner than later...🙏
@@SPENJERE 🙏🙏 Prayers up for speedy recovery
**Just saw this. I wish YT would notify me of responses instead of just new comments. 🤦♂️
Man I really want one of these but I can find 890 adventure r's nearby for $2000+ below msrp right now. Not sure if the norden is worth paying full price
It’s a very similar bike. The R doesn’t include heated gear and you have to add the tech pack to get Cruise, Quick Shift, etc.
But yeah… these are hard to find.
Mine is in the dealership having a new clutch only done 500 miles.
KTM are doing it under warranty
Yikes! What symptoms did you have? Anything I should look out for?
@@advmike was slipping around 4500-5000rpm they’ve put it down to it being defective or installed incorrectly. The dealer has sold a few Nordens and this is the first one he’s seen I wouldn’t worry too much about it pal.
I did struggle to get into gear and was find neutral in stead of 2nd a lot, other than that bike has been mint..
I want to buy it but it uses KTM 890 engine which is notorious for eating cams
What's your opinion on the new triumph 400s
I love the concept. I think I would have bought a 400X as my first bike if they were around when I started. Hope I get to test ride one when they come to the US!
Looks great
has buttercrank tho :/
did your bike have the bluetooth comms module as std spec ?
Yes
👌👌
They are gone in US. For sure in IL. Damn it.
Hope you find one! My dealer says they're getting one or two about every 6 weeks.
@@advmike which state you are in?
Don’t get rid of your giant loop bags. The bags that came with the bike are total trash, even after adding clips to the front.
I recently released the GL bags video. They are definitely better suited for how often I drop the bike. 😆
Well, it's not such a no-brainer. Yes you get a lot of stuff, compared to the S model. You also get a taller, heavier bike and a bike that doesn't handle as well on road as the S. I am getting this bike in one of the versions. But I can't see why all the pannier racks (even the aftermarket ones) stick out so freaking far from the bike. Especially on the exhaust side. Yes, I get it's for the heat but there are heat shields... It looks super ugly and makes the bike unnecessarily wide in my opinion. If there is no other good reason for this, I will have them cut and re-welded to slim it down.
I think Outback Motortek makes an asymmetric set of racks but they’ve been out of stock for a while.
Did you just compare it to the Himalayan? There’s no comparison! The Himalayan doesn’t have the power to pull your hat off! The Norden can keep up with the R1250 GSA!
This actually sounds like a fun video idea 🤔😆
Yep, I have the Expedition and my brother has new 1250 GSA and very comparable in get up and go power! 🏍️💨
With the same money you can buy 3 Himalayans
@@Angelosts yeah or 8.5 Honda Navis but what good does that do anyone? 😁You can only ride one at a time and of course it mainly still doesn’t make it near as good a bike as the mighty Norden Expedition!
🏍️💨
@@Angelosts But I can only ride one at a time 😀
As soon as you said the panniers are high quality you lost all credibility
My credibility is like the golden apples of Hesperides. Never shall a mere mortal as yourself reach such heights.
Also…
Nanna nanna boo boo! 😎
The panniers are the lowest quality of any bike I have ever known.
@@russ4294 what other bikes have you owned?
@@advmike I've owned 18 bikes over the past 35 years.
Yeah, complete trash they are. Two weeks bouncing and they were gone. Bought Kriega. The OS System. 32 left and 23 liter right.
But you can not load to much weight. The shock does not have much overkill. But better then the stock 901 wich i also owned.
