    **Update**
    The bike has now been through the dealer’s workshop, and after running some diagnostics they replaced the whole dash with a new unit under warranty the same morning. So despite the long wait to be seen I am happy with the quick turnaround and looking forward to some orange warning light-free miles!

      Did they put the correct mileage back onto the new clock? I had the same problem but the clock was at zero miles.

    I bought my 701sm23 last year june. I have 20k kilometers that’s around 12k miles. Zero issues all in spec. Just saying for those wondering if they are reliable

      I am on my second 701, both 2020. First got 20k zero issues (Oberon slave installed prevention?) and 9000km on the second one. Absolutely a pleasure to ride.

      20k are few dude , in my country Greece we make 20k in 2 years. We need a bike more than 6-7 years without many problems.

      @nikvret9544 I agree 100% but most of the time the first 20k almost 25k now is a good indicator.

    Thanks for the 6 month review. I too bought a Husq 701SM 2023 May 1year ago. Just took it in for 1st annual service at 2100 miles. Zero issues. The bike has been great. I broke it in 600 miles, then put on a Leo Vinci full exhaust, Rottweiller air box, Power Commander 6, fiuel dongel. I really can't say I feel the difference from the stock parts as I didn't ride it hard while breaking it in first 600 miles, then had all the new parts put on and have since ridden it harder. I have come off two Ducati's - 2008 Hypermotard 1100S and 2021 Hyupermotard 950SP and the 701 is 1/2 the bike twice the fun. The Ducati's were just too much bike. I negotiated in a comfort seat but then never used it as the stock 701 seat has been really good (I have since given the3 comfort seat back to my dealer). Anyway, great bike. Super fun. As I have had no issues it has been a pleasure to own as well as ride. Ride safe and keep us updated.

      Nice, I also waited till after break in before doing anything. It’s probably made a bigger difference than you’ve noticed but if you’re happy with it that’s the main thing. I have watched alot of reviews of various mods and decided to go down the remap/dyno tune route, mostly for smoothing things out but a bit of extra poke is always welcome too! Funnily enough my last bike was also a Ducati and I have to agree with you on it being more bike but less fun, although it was more reliable (in my experience) and the dealer was a lot friendlier.

    mine is a 2018 with all the mods + power commander fuel remap etc but stock everything aside from mirrors + bigger footpegs (i have the same stealth mirrors you do) stock seat etc and bro Ive taken 9 hour rides out across 3 states in the US and been comfy. Its wild hearing everywhere the seat is a 2 x 4 lol. and the wind doesnt bother me on the highway at all.. i did come from mountain biking tho and my first real bike was a drz which compared to a mountain bike these dirt bike seats are a dream lol

    I've just put a set of Dunlop Mutants on my 701. Haven't noticed any difference in the dry, but the wet weather confidence is much better.
    Glad to hear you're enjoying the new job. Finishing that early does sound tempting, especially when you juggle as many hobbies as possible..

      Ooo nice, that’s good to hear as I’ve been thinking to go for mutants once the conti attacks wear out! We don’t always finish that early, and I’m kind of dreading xmas, but we do get paid overtime and it all balances out in the end 🙂. Just this afternoon I stopped for a lovely chat with an old chap selling his ‘69 bonneville, can’t go wrong getting paid to talk bikes!

    I’m in the US and called the closest dealer to my home, which happens to be Ducati, they informed me it would take 6 weeks to get me in for a tire change on my Norden 901…called the dealer I bought it from, wait was less than a week. Learned my lesson trying to save myself 20 minutes on the ride in. 3,200 miles on my Norden, all smiles. Safe travels

    I've had mine for 9 months and have 6,000 miles. Zero issues and mine is tuned, has arrow exhaust, all emissions stuff off, intake, EXT. My only issue is when i wheelie sometimes when i come down off the wheelie my bike makes a weird induction vacuum sound for a bit. I think it might be me slamming into my seat too hard and smashing down on the intake a bit and the bike acclimating to me choking it out for a second. And either I'm burning a bit of oil, or I did not fill it up enough last time cause I'm a bit low....

    I think you’re entitled to your money back or a replacement vehicle while they sort yours. Check out the Sale of Goods and Services Act. I have a 701 Enduro and by contrast an issue on mine had it picked up by the dealer in Bracknell and checked out.

    I have a Gasgas SM700 and I've had the same error code come up with low fuel light, mine happened from around 500 miles from new. Took it back and they said it was the fuel sensor but it wasn't. Now they say it's faulty clocks and not had it back yet to confirm.

    • @TheRoadWarrior96
      @TheRoadWarrior96  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Ah jheez, I found a forum post online of someone with a similar issue and I think they had the clocks replaced eventually. What have they beeb like in terms of turnaround time, courtesy bikes etc?

    • @andreasioannou3627
      @andreasioannou3627 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I took the bike in and they had a look at it, took 3 weeks for the fuel sensor to come but that wasn't the problem. They then ordered new clocks which took a few weeks to come and the bike is supposedly sorted now. I am getting it back next week. Will let you know the outcome. No courtesy bike because I was thinking about trading it for a Duke 790 but I've since read about bad cam problems with them so will just have the Gasgas back. The fuelling is really bad at low revs was the reason I was thinking of trading it.

    • @TheRoadWarrior96
      @TheRoadWarrior96  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@andreasioannou3627 Sounds like a right faff, I have mentioned your experience to my dealer today so perhaps they will arrive at changing the clocks a bit quicker. Yeah the fuelling is bad down low, it’s a shame that one has to reflash ecu for a bike to run properly but that’s just the emissions restricted world we live in, and I am grateful that KTM still sell them even if they are in a neutered state. Thanks for taking the time to reply 🙂

      It’s ok comfort wise, not as bad as some say in my opinion, but still not great. I would also like to change the cover for something more grippy as it’s easy to slide back during overtakes! I’ll probably change the foam or add a gel insert at the same time 🙂

    Your husky sounds super quiet and always sounds like its chugging. How much finance per month would one of them be?

    • @TheRoadWarrior96
      @TheRoadWarrior96  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The helmet mic doesn’t do it justice (I use a lot of sound deadening to prevent wind noise); I have the louder of the two supplied baffles in the exhaust and it’s not quiet! 😁 Hopefully less chugging after a remap. I’m not sure on the finance as I bought outright, but I can’t see why it would be any worse than other bikes.
