Channel Purpose: **Help people experience adventure.**
This purpose can be accomplished in several ways:
* Showing actual adventures (day trips or overnight outings)
* Bike specific prep and modifications
* Travel gear and equipment reviews
"Adventure" can mean different things to different people. For me that usually means loading up and visiting a remote place, preferably away from crowds of people. I prefer solitude or a small close-knit group who can comfortably share silence.
Why Motorcycles?
Starting with a Yamaha TTR 125 in my late 30's (way too small for a guy my size) I fell in love with motorcycling. Soon came road bikes and dual-sport riding. After my first moto-camping trip, I was hooked. I knew I'd be chasing that feeling every chance I could. And I hope to document that passion through this channel.

Why you should AVOID the Honda Navi & Three Better Options for New Riders
I think the Honda Navi is a well made machine. I also think the use case for this bike is fundamentally flawed for traveling on American roads.

Installing Giant Loop Pannier Mounts on Norden 901 Expedition Pannier Racks

I was able to modify my Giant Loop quick release pannier mounts to fit the stock pannier racks on the Husqvarna Norden 901 Expedition. While this did require me to drill a few holes, I have been pleased with the way the panniers go on and off the bike. I've been using the Giant Loop Mototrekk panniers for a while now and they've served me well. Between the Mototrekk panniers and the Tillamook d...

You know for 2000$ whats there not to like? A fun little bike that requires no clutch or shifting, a 110cc bike that can top at 55mph and 90kmh, thats a bargain for a honda.
Yea iget what you say but get to 68 age this is ideal for run around to the shops local runs not for speed our local speeds are 30 mph
Pipe seems to make more difference than the silencer. I thought they sounded ok as stock but now I’ve changed my mind. The full system swap makes the bike sound much better, hides quite a bit of engine noise as well
The exhaust sound is a bad joke. If you ride it, it sounds even worse. This is my first bigger modification project.
Well, the old saying is it’s not whether you’re gonna go down it’s when you’re gonna go down. Motorcycles and crashes are hand in hand.
Vert nace bags. Hvere did you bay this ? And the plate back ?
All i all tho i see some points. Now i am kinda thinking about a E bike. Although i been riding mini bikes for awhile now. I work like not even 3/4 miles down the road. So eh i dont use our car my fiance works farther then me so i walk. It be cool to have something street legal an take it to work Idk you definitely gave me something to think about.
So only thing i can definitely agree with this is not a motorcycle It is set up like a scooter but the drife system an engine are similar to a mini bike. So i considered it a street legal mini bike. Goes about the same speed as a mini bike. But i personally dont think you totally get it. What honda is offering here is a city commuter bike. It low end mini moto bike You didnt even suggest the moneky or grom? Which i found odd. A monkey can go 68mph with a exhaust an some tuning.. The helmet hair The hot weather etc no matter what your going to have idc what bike you ride. In summary: it a city bike like close commuter bike ( e bike could be a better option but eletirc yuck) Or i could see this used on country roads for sight seeing You can get these bikes to go faster with mods...
I own an "1100" cc metric MC that I purchased used, low milage in 2011. It is 2024 now and It still runs fine with proper repairs and matenence when needed. It will reach interstate speeds easily and keep up mile after mile. I payed $3,800.00 for it. Probably cheaper then most of those little mopeds. Just be aware of what ya want or eventually will want. If ya want a Moped, accept the restrictions.
Those complaints are nullified because you chose a "retro" style bike. Man up!
Seems like they took the extra leg room that scooters are known for and turned it into a storage locker.
Hello friend... Is this royal enfield tubeless tires?...saludos from Panamá 🇵🇦
Best Event of the year 👊
I just bought the 2024 Honda Navi about a month ago here in Australia. Im traditionally a big bike rider but I wanted fun and to do something a bit different. This machine is brilliant, so economical and reliable and compact. Fits anywhere. Ive been 2up with my wife a few times and we have a ball. Its a no stress, fun machine and keeps pace with other traffic around town. The little storage section down below is handy if you have to run to the shop. So glad i got this bike.
I've got one. Love it.
Does a free flow exhaust require changes to the ECU?
I'm getting thos bike for next year because I have a 150cc scooter that's over 280lbs. I need a bike that fits me and being a beginner, I don't need to be fast lol
Rode a navi from LA to Portland. Best time of my life
What route did you do? Back streets? Interstate? How?! I want to do a big CX
Respectfully sir, you are incorrect. Fundamentally.
The Honda ADV 160 scooter is a great get if you're looking for an alternative. Yes it's $4,600 but it's quick and much bigger.
Hi. Im your new subscriber. I love your videos may i ask what camera you are using at 3:04?
Ha! the most important test, you know you are on the right bike when you turn around and look at it after you park.
Hi Mike, did you have any serious problems with your Norden? I just will pick up my Expedition tomorrow fron local dealer so I hope everything is going to be ok
Can you tell us what make and model of windscreen you are running?
This guy is clueless. I bought one of these when they were first launched in the U.S. as I was sick of the crazy gas prices. I live in an urban city and I daily it from February to November in MN where it's cold and terrible. Wear your gear, be safe and attentive, and quit whining about helmet hair. Its 2 grand and it does fine at 50mph. I ride it at its absolute limit so often all the time. Its a Honda it will run forever. Its 2 grand. The fun factor for the value is off the charts. I do agree with doing the MSF course though, as you will need your endorsement to ride this awesome little machine. This guy is crying for all the wrong reasons dont listen to him.
You still rode it still have it in your background. Dude this flawed review sucks. Ill tell you what, grocery store is 5 miles away. I just want a bag of apples imma get on my navi and come back home. Simple the navi is simple. sorry you couldnt smash side mirrors in a navi dude.
Shinko 705
I hope you found your new passion in life.
This bike is NOT for people like you
Test road that bike and fell in love. The KTM cam thing has me really wigged out. I hope we can find out they're all good now.
Don’t listen to this reviewer hating on a Navi… it’s not designed for anything he’s whining about. 🙄
I've had a honda grom, navi, ruckus, rebel 300, and honda 1100 dct. All new. I've enjoyed all of them. I enjoy riding and have never pushed mine to the limit. They're all great bikes. Each one is made for a certain way of riding. It just depends on what you are interested in. I enjoy scooters and motorcycles. I also have an ebike which also can be dangerous if you ride unsafely. I still have my navi and love it.
Use mine for Uber eats delivery. Couple bucks a day on gas to make a couple hundred bucks. Can't beat it
That goes for every motorcycle
You bought it bro
Could anyone give the settings with luggage for the Expedition again ? Can not find it to download in the description anymore. In 6 hours will be heading of on a large trip again. Had to search over an hour for finding this video again. Changed phone between last time i saw this video and now.
Buy Stanley classic legendary and enjoy hot coffee for 2 days!!❤
Only $1,800. hundred dollars. The price is not accounting for the addtional fees that would be added, about $3,500. out the door.
Hey Mike just found your channel, I’m going to look at a 901 this weekend in Birmingham. Look forward to the content
I’m also getting rid of the 650 due to it uneven weight distribution which feels on the top portion of the bike even during running in to corners. It’s not an effortless entering in to a corner. No doubt the motorcycle is stable while riding compare to most bikes. Somewhere the Triumph Bonnie feels easy to manage. Street Twin is a better choice i feel.
I passed one of these ony ebike! Now only if they could make better batteries!
The country where this bike was originally being sold had a lot of slower stop and go traffic where it did fine. The problem is when you try to sell that same bike in a country with larger vehicles on the road, faster and less congested driving and drivers on the road that are always speeding then a bike like this becomes a deathtrap. It's the wrong bike for an american psycho driving environment. Now if they made a version which was a little larger with a more powerful scooter engine then that would be somewhat better.
WOW great review...first time watching. Getting ready to pick up a 2024 next week !!!!
Enjoyed this. Cheers from Sweden
Good video. Cheers from Sweden
Is this bike more comfortable than rebel 1100? I am thinking about changing it for an interceptor!
Hi Mike, First off. I really appreciate your review of the Honda Navi. I watched a GenZ guy review it and the sensibilities between you two are amazing. You have the knowledge and wisdom of mature life experience. Re: the speed the Navi can achieve. The darn thing only has a 110 cc motor. You spoke of it as regards highway use. Only motorcycles with the power of a 250 cc motor are allowed to qualify for highway use. Otherwise your rider license certification is limited to surface streets. The Grom is only a 125 cc and it barely achieves anothr five mph more than the Navi. That is why my first bike was the 250 Rebel which was capable of 65 mph. And we measured 83 mpg ! The wife only weighs 128. I love your coverage and real world considerations. All the best. Bob
have you had a flat tire before ?
The experience every fathar should give his son😊😊🥰
Paved and gravel walking trails. Alot of 'off road' trails that you can ride a car on anyway would be good. How else are you gonna get to class if you own one?
