Just randomly came across MetalJesusRocks videos and been watching them for a couple of hours now, loving all this retro gaming stuff, brings back some good memories.
Freaking awesome video, and a lot of fun! John Hancock is a living legend, especially regarding consoles and their games, always cool to see his game room of amazingness.
did anyone else have a texas instrument as a kid, that is one of many older game systems my brought home for us.. reason being we were poor so i got all the old systems.. but i did not care, it was a video game.. ( funny to think them old systems are collector items now ) i do not see many so called game collectors even mention it. shrugs.. i have many good memories on that system.. rock on.
@johnmsanford - We tried to keep the squeaky styrofoam to a minimum... cuz it makes your ears and teeth ache. But... that IS part of the retro experience! :)
Yes, whenever visiting someone who has an awesome collection of vintage electronics in original boxes, always make sure to wave beer or other beverages around above both the boxes and the electronics, especially if the electronics are powered up. It makes the collectors very happy. :P
Your friend's challenger is AWESOME, and also Kudos for driving a manual! I am from spain and import muscle cars are pretty rare, you can find some 60's stuff but it is pretty rare and nowadays we are getting a lot of cheap V6 mustangs that sell for quite a high price here
When you guys entered that game room, I got the exact same feeling as over 30 years ago when I first entered my friend's dad's Apple / Commodore store: THIS is what I wanted. I was instantly hooked. This was heaven, I knew. It would be better than anything. After 30 years I can confirm I was right. I recently picked up my old hobby and got myself some Commodores, but perhaps I should switch (or expand) to game consoles, because they're AWESOME! You just made my day. I've got a purpose now.
What's better than Metal Jesus Rocks & John Hancock???? Metal Jesus Rocks, John Hancock and AMERICAN MUSCLE !!! LETS GOOOOOO, man i feel like I have unlimited amounts of videos to watch from you! keep up the killer content!
Ugh, I can't STAND that Styrofoam squeak! Gives me chills and makes me gnash my teeth! That's an amazing car Paul's got, very jealous. Great video, guys, always love the ventures into John's gaming cove!
I love the turbo graphics 16, it was so unique and I loved the color scheme. For some reason tg16 is the only system that I could never find a good emulator for. I wish they would release every console and all the old games and sell them everywhere like Walgreens, CVS, Sears, Walmart. Kids today would have a blast.
Great video! A Fairchild - awesome. In my collection is the German version of the Fairchild Channel 2 - the Saba Videoplay! And an Arcadia 2001 - great! I've got the European clone - the Hanimex HMG 2650! And the TurboGrafx is a great console with awesome games! Thank you very much for the video!!!
Your videos in general and your room tours in specific are what made me get into retro game collecting over just owning a couple games here and there. So my wife says you're to blame. LOL -ConsoleGeek,com
happy 100th video. awesome car and a sweet intro DMP I've also got the emerson arcadia 2001 in my collection and just picked up the atari 7800 I mentioned on facebook. I'm converting all my consoles to either RCA if they were originally RF or S video/RGB if they came out with RCA Composite
Sweet Collection! its cool/funny to see pong machines & I find it hysterical that before cartridge systems were released, console manufacturers expected you to be satisfied with at most maybe 5 games & all variations on pong.
Hot damn, another with a Fairchild Channel F. I still feel lucky as hell as to have been outright GIVEN one as a gift by a friend that worked at Goodwill once (which is where he bought it, and numerous games including Alien Invasion).
I got my CDX at a yard sale for 5 bucks. IT was awesome but I rarely used it to play games on being that I had a model 1 and 2 at the time. It spent most of its life being used as the CD player in my moms van since it only had a cassette player.
Awesome stuff again. Maybe one of my best finds ever was a CDX for $1 at a yard sale. They probably thought it was a cd player lol. But sadly i had to sell it to get some money. Would love to own one again. It would also be cool to get into the TG-16/PC Engine stuff someday.
@Harmon Yes, the options package is called R/T Classic. Mine does have the classic cursive"Challenger" badge. In fact, I pretty much have every option available including the Super Track Pack, top end stereo and a Metal Jesus in the passenger seat.
Only 7 games were made for the Super Grafx right? Super Grafx has the best home port of Ghouls and Ghosts from the Arcade. I don't think I'll ever be able to play it. Also Super Grafx could play all existing PC engine games. So if you add the CD attachment it would be the definitive combo for PC Engine. I have a modified PC Engine Duo R that plays all Japanese and Turbo Grafx 16 games so I'm fine with that. Great system can't recommend it enough. If only they could mod an entire setup to play those few extra games cuz 1943 was a great arcade shooter port also.
hey MJR, this is some pretty cool shit. don't get me wrong I love my new gen consoles but I'm only 21 and I'm really getting into retro gaming after videos like this on youtube. I only have a SNES as far as "retro" consoles go but I have a ways to go. Anyway love what your doing man. please more videos of obscure "retro" consoles. interesting stuff.
AWESOME ride the DMP. I was thinking MJR was going to say it was his but he's about my size and I can't comfortably fit in one and was going to ask how he does it.
@HappyConsoleGamer - Johnny, if you are thinking of heading down to Portland during PAX in Aug, you might as well swing by John's Room of Doom. It's on the way, and worth it if you want to highlight some really rare & unusual games or consoles on your channel. I'm sure John wouldn't mind.
btw, we had a channel F that we bought at a gargage sale when we were kids. I don't know if we didn't know to turn it off, I thought we did it right, but it stopped working and would just play bleeps and blop noises. It sucked, because it was really fun for kids who had no video games.

It is just too cool to watch these guys nostalgia all day with these old school consoles!
The new Dodge Challenger is based on the 1st generation of cars from 1970-1974.
Still it’s a Dodge lol
You can't call something new retro just because it's based on a older model. Get the original, ya goofballs.
@@crimsonbender8682 unreliable peice of junk anyway
The best thing about discovering this channel late is that I have many years of great content to catch up :)
Also, I just played my first ever cdx game minutes ago, and this comes up on my feed :)
That John's wow at the end was hilarious.
just discovered your videos 1 hour ago, I am still watching and have just subscribed :) great stuff
Oh my god that styrofoam sound.
did anyone else have a texas instrument as a kid, that is one of many older game systems my brought home for us.. reason being we were poor so i got all the old systems.. but i did not care, it was a video game.. WOOHOO! Got to see more of John's collection! Always a treat!

Great video guys!! what a collection!
This quote jumped out at me: "A lot of collectors play their games."
@MetalJesusRocks Never thought of it that way :) Makes me appreciate it being there more!
Thumbs up if you would pay to visit that room!
you can pay to see it on the dvd advertised at the end of the video.
Nice whip, I used to have an orange challenger RT back in high school
You guys are awesome!

Getting drunk and playing retro games with you guys is quickly moving up the list of things to do before I die, awesome as usual.

Fun learning about these long-forgotten video game systems. And now I gotta go back and watch the other 99 videos as well, lol
He's got the entire Genesis Library BOXED! now that's dedication
These guys are so fun to watch!

Awesome video, damn. That's a spectacular collection.
Only under a minute in, and the energy you guys convey in this video has made me an instant subscriber.
thanks metal jesus , you bring the old classic feel again god i missed the 1995 :(
10 years ago, woweee. This is still an acceptable speed to go see the immortal John Hancock.
Johns probably the only guy who can "legally" download entire game rom libraries. Owns everything!

12:38 Oh no, wrong hand! :-o It's the left hand for the goat horns, representing the left-hand path! ;-)

Oh yeah? Was this at Southcenter? I always hit up that Half Priced books..and the ValueVillage next door.
Great seeing these early episodes. “Looks like a Charlie’s Angels intercom system” made me laugh. You and John have amazing collections.
What's better than Metal Jesus Rocks & John Hancock???? Metal Jesus Rocks, John Hancock and AMERICAN MUSCLE !!! LETS GOOOOOO, man i feel like I have unlimited amounts of videos to watch from you! keep up the killer content!
Your videos and technology have come a long way in 10 years

This Challenger's outrageous
I remember playing around with a Channel F as a kid in our local Sears in the mid 70s.
Cool show Metal Jesus, I'm a fan of video games related channels, and this is one of my favorite. Keep it up, and original!
I love the turbo graphics 16, it was so unique and I loved the color scheme. For some reason tg16 is the only system that I could never find a good emulator for. WOW! I've never seen so many retro games in one place....I LOVE this channel....keep up the good work guys :D
Hot damn, another with a Fairchild Channel F. I still feel lucky as hell as to have been outright GIVEN one as a gift by a friend that worked at Goodwill once (which is where he bought it, and numerous games including Alien Invasion).

hey MJR, this is some pretty cool shit. don't get me wrong I love my new gen consoles but I'm only 21 and I'm really getting into retro gaming after videos like this on youtube. AWESOME ride the DMP. I was thinking MJR was going to say it was his but he's about my size and I can't comfortably fit in one and was going to ask how he does it.
your intro guitar riffs are so fruity i like it hahaha
Lovin the easy street shirt!
My one and only complaint about your videos is that they are too short. Rock on!
Love your show guys, keep em coming.
It's awesome how much fun you guys have!
Great job buddy! Good to see some more of Paul in the spotlight! Fucking sweet ass car dude!!!
I swear to god Drunken Master Paul is the real life incarnation of Andre from The League.
btw, we had a channel F that we bought at a gargage sale when we were kids. I don't know if we didn't know to turn it off, I thought we did it right, but it stopped working and would just play bleeps and blop noises. It sucked, because it was really fun for kids who had no video games.
oh shit that spin out was not to shabby
