    Outstanding riding in that Gnar and the views, wow. It's amazing you all can ride in so much mudd/water... In the states (east coast) its very much frowned on to ride in wet conditions(some trails outright close) due to the damage and erosion, etc that's occurs when riding mudd/puddles. Would love to get more glimpses of your riding(Pierce wears the Gopro). Thanks for sharing such epic shredding Vids

    • @McTrailRider
      @McTrailRider  4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm watching this very early morning, absolutely jealous but seriously impressed. We have walked this route and now you've reminded me just how good Scotland's Mountains can be. This route must go down as one of your best, filming is very good and the return ride Brilliant. When you did the lower path did you go right round and back between the 2 Buckles. I'm not doing spellings. Modern Bikes are really capable but take the credit you deserve, you've still got to stay on and control the descent. Top effort.

    • @McTrailRider
      @McTrailRider  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nice to hear from someone who has experience on this mountain👍
      The lower descent was down the shoulder from the lowest point, I believe that is the only official path to take.
      I will take some credit of course 😜 but I couldn’t do this day on 26 inch mtb from only a few years ago.

      @@McTrailRider Being mainly a Walker this hill is a Gem, I don't really tell anyone that though. Glencoe is full of classic and quiet stuff to do if you search them out. When I'm watching your videos I find if it looks steep it really is steep, if you've already been there You know it's steep. So we have three days in Scotland before the World Cup. Where would you ride within relatively close proximity to Fort William (we've done Torridon etc - probably a bit too far perhaps). We are bringing ebikes and can cover some distance.
    Thank for any recommendations!

    • @McTrailRider
      @McTrailRider  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There’s plenty of options, but I don’t know your ability.
      Glen Coe ski resort would be a good shout, the red is great but the black is very full on.
      The Ciaran path above Kinlochleven is also excellent for an ebike. Still quite a big day.
      Finally, Laggan Wolftrax trail centre is one of the best 👍

    • @MattSB2588
      @MattSB2588 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@McTrailRider I guess the out there type rides are more our focus, having done Glencoe and Laggan before. Natural riding is probably going to be more our aim.
      Guessing there is nothing of Torridon standard in the region?
      Sorry for the questions and thanks for your help!
      Matt

    • @MattSB2588
      @MattSB2588 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ps - ability; I don't need the double black at Glencoe! One of the few descents I think really deserves a downhill bike. But we've ridden all over, Morzine to La Thuile to Whistler to Spain.
      But my ability is less than it used to be! Need bike time..

      A good bit on the small to medium sized hits, but you need your limbs more after that. The problem on this day was the steepness and size of the steps.
