Since getting the drone, I’ve found myself wanting to revisit many of the mountains that I have previously done, just to get new shots.
None more so than Binnein Mor above Kinlochleven. I knew the backdrops would work so well on this one, but I was still blown away with the results once I seen them.
This particular day turned out to be quite a bit of effort, which was largely worth it, excluding the first descent to the Ciaran path.

I think that may be the most spectacular edit you’ve ever done ! The steepness and exposure really comes across, just incredible. Well done sir 👌
Thanks Anthony, always difficult to convey those things in a video.
Watching your channel for years.... Can honestly say, every video is better than the last!
Glad to see you out on the mountains again, love the wee bit of info of the surrounding area.
The drone footage is amazing!
Good luck with the rest of this summers rides.. can't wait to see them!
Thanks very much for the kind words😊 Here’s hoping I can get a few more mountain rides in before the end of the year.
Can't believe, you don't have more subscribers
Thank You Andrew!! your skills are enviable descending such steep grades and Those views are heavenly!! You represent all of us that cannot reach such Beautiful heights!! Proud to be British watching you!!from an old Sasanach on the Isle of Wight
Thanks very much Roger 😊
Brilliant, you can’t beat big hill days in Scotland, drone footage was amazing ❤️🏴
Your knowledge of the summits’ is always impressive Andrew! For a big unit, Piers can fairly shift that bike!
I know a few of the mountains, but there are way more that I don’t know. Piers is pretty handy on a bike👍
The views 🤯. Did something similar at Easter and thought it looked amazing but wow. Definitely my kinda riding and the video looked amazing. Thank you
As long as you were out on your bike enjoying the views 👍
@@McTrailRider well said and that’s a massive part of mountain biking for me. Thank you
Wow! Wow Andrew, those tracks looked scary and hard work, but you always make it look quite easy! And I can’t imagine better views, spectacular!
Thank you for explaining all the area from the top,and all the mountain ranges.Fantastic🤗
And I don’t know when I saw such a blue sky 😊 xx
WOW....Andrew, the drone shots were awesome ! The steepness was scarily obvious , MAN ! Truly beautiful background as well. Thank you
Mate this video is INCREDIBLE. So much appreciation for the filming effort, drone stuff, clear mic, voiceover, edit the lot. And the scenery weren't bad.
Wow, simply STUNNING, great figures and the most fascinating scenery. The trail wouldn't be for me, too steep, too loose and too rocky, respect!!!
The trail certainly isn’t that bike friendly, but what a place 😍
What an effing decent use of my time. Nice one 👍🏻
Drone shots are absolutely epic. What a beautiful part of the world. Thank you for sharing 😎🤙
Nowhere better when the suns out
Another absolutely fantastic episode Andrew and what a broad day for it too. This is why I'm a Patreon of your channel. Keep it up mate!
Wow!! You really captured the beauty of that part of Scotland on a fantastic day.
Great riding from the pair of you, as always!
Not too far away from The Lochleven Seafood Cafe as well!!
What more could you ask for?
Thanks for sharing the vlog!
Glad you enjoyed it mate 👍
Jesus, that was stunning! I've lived in the Highlands all my life and I'm mildly ashamed to say I've not been up one of those hills 😂
I hadn’t either for the first 31 years of my life.
@@McTrailRider I'm 47 now, plenty of time yet! Hopefully 😂
Absolutely one of the best videos you’ve done! The scenery is incredible and the editing was brilliant!
I’ll take that 👍
That looked amazing. Great work and what a day out.
Excellent effort, I really enjoyed this one. Walked Stob Ban a few years ago, straight up from Glen nevis and only did the Ban. A real favourite and those cliffs are awesome as you walk up. Really enjoying your output at the moment, thanks very much 👍.
Stunning! I miss the Highlands! Switching lead foot helps a little with those endo turns. I'm useless when it comes to right turns, being right handed.
I've tried switching lead foot before to no avail. Will keep practicing though.
Great Video Andy, what a great part of the world. keep doing what your doing.
Great views and drone work - I'll not be attempting that one any time soon. Could feel my heart pumping just watching.
It’s not what I’d describe as easy 😬
Wow 😯 The most stunning video yet. That drone adds so much 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Stunning 👊 What a backdrop and weather. Looks absolutely awesome🤟
Cheers Mark
Thanks Andrew
flipping heck Andrew that was some amazing riding and filming! -what a stunning location and big skills coming down those top sections, slabs and single-track - blown away by your content again mate, well done, great day on the bikes - proper MTB at its best
Thanks buddy, this one came out pretty well 👍
Wow that was some of the best drone footage yet - splendidly impressive! Really lets you see the real trail conditions. Those views from the top too - I really do miss Scotland. Think you saw almost every major mountain from up there.
Had such a good day for checking out all the surrounding mountains 👌
Great video again Andrew drone shots were epic.
Stunning photography, and good riding
Thank you
Fantastic footage! Just awesome 😎
Wow what a great ride! The views and video editing are fantastic! Just stunning!
Thanks Mark, glad you enjoyed it 👍
Epic stuff bro stunning scenery 🏴
That sir, is one of the most beautiful videos you've done.
Colours popping off the screen.. well done
The sunshine definitely helped on this one.
Another epic video with great drone and POV footage, and superb edit. Thanks for showing us another wonderful location in Scotland, from a neighbour in Ireland.
Thank you so much 👍
Amazing views and quality riding!!!!!
Thanks buddy
You guys ar nuts...amazing views. Well done.
Cheers Jason
Awesome content! And the drone footage is on another level
Great tech riding dude....and spectacular views.
Well done. Cheers from Colorado.
Thanks! 👍
Nice scenery and trails😉
Thank you
Brilliant video keep then coming.
Another awe inspiring video - great work Andrew 👍🏻
Glad you think so!
Stunning scenery. Loved hiking in to Steall falls a few years back and had similar weather to this. Got to do one of these big hill days next time I get back to sunny Scotland. Until then, I'll keep enjoying your content. Keep up the good work!
Steall falls is such an incredible place😍
Another great video bud!.. some views up there!.. ;)
Awesome video, scenery looked absolutely incredible 🏴. GoPro and drone shots were 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks dude
Epic stuff as always!
Amazing ride and video again Andrew ...and incredible weather !!!!!👍👍👍
Thanks Trevor
Amazing video, looks like everything came together beautifully. Well done.
I'll be going through your other videos to check your bike setup, especially brakes and tyres.
I love these videos to remind me to stay in my Lane, stunning but no chance.
Haha, fair do’s
Yeah that was pretty wicked 👍🏻
Thanks 👍
Awesome views and riding. Looks amazing.
Thanks Rhett
Stunning
Cheers
Best footage ever.
stunning mate maybe get up there soon myself maybe not quite that ride but one of yours
Plenty to choose from 👍
Awsome video Andy
and the views wow
and a great place to get bike fit 🔥🔥
The annoying thing is, this didn’t really make me “bike fit” Something I realised when I done the first attempt at the ews 100.
Wow! Thank you for taking us along on another epic ride. The technical gnarly trail is a real test (what travel are you running for and aft?) . The visuals are stunning. If the Highlanders had mtbs they would have ruled forever😅. Your mix of drone and pov is just right. The exposure on those steep switchbacks is a bit jaw dropping. Thanks again.
I run 160/150 Front/rear on the bike.
Glad you enjoyed the mix of pop/drone footage, it's something I consider quite a bit in my edits.
Wow. Just wow!!
Cheers
What a day - amazing video and drone footage. Great riding also, don't know how you had the energy for the last boggy downhill into KL. I took some XC clients down that or a similar burn after a long day from Rannoch many years ago, big waste of time. Not sure if that was Ben Lomond / Ben Ime, more likely Ben Mhor / Stob Binean, and the one you said was Cruachan was probably Ben Lui, but I could be wrong as it has been a couple of decades since I have been on any hill tops in the west.
Canny beat a slog through a bog at the end of a big day😜
I think your probably correct about Ben Mhor/Stob Binean, although the ones I believed to be Cruachan would be to far away from Ben Mhor to be Ben Lui.
Another reason for watchin ur vids are the views bro. Plus me luvs ya channel n vids bruv. Thanks BOYZ luv it 😍 class ridin lads n EPIC VIEWS X
Appreciate that😊
incredible
Superb
If Carlsberg did days out on the bike!! 👌
👍
Wow !
Cheers
Absolutely stunning! I need to finally save some money and get that drone. It does such a fantastic job. Andrew are You still using MAX lens on Your GoPro sometimes? Did You used it in this video?
I've distanced myself from the max lens a bit again, this was shot chest mounted without the lens mod.
Awsome .some very good bike skills and riding on that upper section. Did Pearce fall off or was he not up for some parts looks steep
He was struggling from some heavy drinking the day before.
Sweating just watching this🥵😂
It’s a tough one for sure
Considering doing this tomorrow is it easier enough to follow the trail? I’d be saving the route from your strava. We’re stopping near fort William and want a mountain ride as we’ve done Glencoe uplift and fort bill. Or is there another you’d recommend around here? Thank Mullers
It’s too bad the drones make that noise. But wow, what an amazing ride.
W O W !!!
Dude, I think its time you created a 'SuperEdit' with all the best bits of footage from your trips over the past couple of years acompanied by some dramatic music!!!
Sounds like a lot of work 😜
@@McTrailRider more than carrying bikes up a 950m high mountain?
@@jonathancook4022 I find physical effort easier than the mental stuff tbh.
@@McTrailRider If i did an edit, would you consider publishing it?
@@jonathancook4022 🤔suppose I would. I’m not saying that I won’t do it, just maybe not now
As ever scottish views hitting the spot👍👍👍👍soooopurb
Thank you
I'm no expert here but your endo turns I've noticed you had your right foot forward for turning left. Would it make a difference if you had your left foot forward for turning right ?
That was my thought process as well, turns out that the foot placement is only a small part of the equation.
How on earth do you remember all the names of these mountains?! I'm lucky if I remember what I did last weekend 🤣
Do you find the drone helps with analysing your riding technique?
Did you just fill your water bottle from that creek? Is it safe to drink directly without filtering?
I did, it’s definitely a risk. I only really take water from high up and what’s make sure it’s moving water.
What psi do you tend to set your tires when bombing down that type of loose rock? Great vid!
24/27 front/rear
Amazing views, I've got to get over there one day! Might I ask what is that drone?
It’s called a skydio 2, and it’s great.
Wow! And your knowledge of the mountains is impressive too, I hope you weren't just making that up
I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous...
😂😂
It appears those blocks of rocks were purposely placed there from an old castle.
Not sure what ones you mean
@@McTrailRider Sorry I was referring to the rocks at 5:46.. Rocks looks like they were perfectly cut into squares.
Are you riding fast to escape the swarm of wasps?
Hornets actually 😜
How do these black water puddles smell?
Not great
who was operating the drone ???
Nobody, it's fully autonomous 👍🏻
I just installed windows 11.. not sure if the amazing views are part of the upgrade :)
Maybe 😜
That last trail looked really not nice! Views earlier were stunning though. Scotland at her best. Ta muchly!
A day of two halves almost.
Unbelievable
Oh my goodness me. I can ride for an hour and have 10 meters of elevation
Stunning
Thank you! 😊
Superb
