I have the 2021 cla 45 amg, let me tell you it’s incredible, hard fast and crazy cool… I have never been so impressed in my life… I turned down a gallardo for this shark 🦈❤️
For those wondering… starting at 55k base model, lol that shit don’t exist.. I paid 73k+ tax. If you have a passion for Mercedes I say do it. If it’s just for show I say don’t. Lol

People need to stop commenting about the sti/evo on a German cars video, German cars are just on a different level. No matter how fast stis or evos are, you can’t polish a turd. This dudes review mentions the sti and I stop the video straight away.
So true. I used to be a jdm guy, but it was back like 15 years ago. Never wanna look back. The only Japanese cars that interest me is the lc500, rcf, gsf, nsx, rest are all SHIT.
Amazing car and the S version has 421bhp 500NM and its pushing 30psi (2,1 bar) stock.
I don't think there is a S version of the CLA45

I think so, it has a trick haldex system that can sorta drift but not the same as a big boy AMG. Mk8 Golf R will have a similar system.

I don't like how people down play these 4-cylinder AMG cars becuase they are not V8's. If you think about it, AMG's whole philosophy was centered around handcrafted performance engines. I could care less whether it is a V8 or a 4-Cylinder. As long as same amount of love an attention to detail is incorporated into the 4-cylinder I would buy it over and over again. Furthermore, not everyone wants the inefficiency and nose-heavy characteristics of a V8. You can always tune these cars and give them more power, its all about what you will use the car for. I think I would be just happy driving a 700 HP 4-Cylinder compared to a 700 HP V8.

@@damionklassen4890 Point is that for me, if I can hit 0-60 in 3 seconds, doesn’t matter what engine is in it. Most people that I know buy the badge anyway, myself included.
@@dylanw890 thank you! I daily a gla45 and I can get up to 32mpg, handles amazing, sounds pretty damn great and I don’t lose races to anything south of hellcats. 4cyl are insane if done right

I own this car since August 2020. If you don't mind the loud rattling sound of every panel inside the car, then it is a great handling fun car to drive. Wish MB didn't cheap out on interior sound dampers.

Great video. I had a 2014 CLA 45 AMG when the model first came out. Good car but could have used a better shifting dual clutch, better interior, etc. looks like this refresh solved these issues.

Race/drift mode are a part of the AMG Dynamic Performance package which you can get on the NA AMG CLA 45

The CLA45 looks like a fun car to drive regardless of transverse, AMG is stretching their legs and trying different things, they have the track record to be able to do so lol, not sure why people have such a hard time with this. Nice review!
Yes, the CLA45s (sedan) and A45s (hatch) has the most powerful 4 cylinder production engine in the world. CLA45 & A45 might be the next most powerful.

American versions may not get the s version, but the European customers (well Uk) we don’t get the option for things like heads up display or 360 camera 🤷🏽♂️

Im actually looking into buying either the CLA45S or the 2020 Toyota Supra.
But sadly we have a lockdown until december so im not able to test drive both right now.
Me too! But a 2021 Supra over the 2020s since they fixed the issues and added a bit more power it’s hard decision honestly because I prefer a 6 cylinder but these cla Amg are so beautiful and make outstanding power from a 4 cylinder
Ever since the first gen CLA came out i wondered why they've not done a ¨Evolution¨ model as a more track / sport oriented lightened version with a big wing painted in Blauschwarz in honor of the 190E 2.5-16 Evolution 2 as it seems like the platform to do it on.
Because it's on a FWD platform, but in my wet dreams I sometimes imagine this car being RWD with a stick shift. That would be a drivers car
@@SevCars Ehh imho it doesn't matter from what wheels a car drives or how it's engine is positioned for it to be a drivers car as long as the car is set up well. unless you are into drifting.. that is a bit tricky with anything but rwd.. and as much as i love a stick, auto boxes are getting so good that they run circles around manuals anyway but a manual option is always nice. I just think that the CLA platform would make the most sense in my mind as it's the right size to be a spiritual successor to the 190e Evo2 . Again just my personal opinion ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Your sti category analogy is not even close to being accurate because of the huge disparity in price. This car is a lot more than those cars ever offered. The size of the motor doesnt mean they appeal to the same demographic.
I see what your saying but it's very easy to find an old benz at 10% of it's original value. I have a Mercedes that retailed 80k but bought for 3k, they depreciate real quick which makes it better bang for the buck

This car generation is way better than the 1st. But I'd still take a cheaper sti/evo over it
For the price, you could get something much better. You're paying for performance here, not quality. The interior is cheaply made like an entry-level A-class and for £50 k + that's not acceptable. I would rather spend that £50 k on something higher in quality, more reliable, that rides better and is more well made such as an e class coupe amg or a BMW m440i, etc. Seriously, Mercedes should give this model a much-improved interior for that price with a deficiency of plastic materials. Smart people would not buy this car.

This stomps on the cars u mentioned. The interior on this model is actually nice and from the outside it looks like a mini gt 63
The building quality of this car is terrible, plastics are squeeking and creeking especially on the front doors and the middle pillars. Also it has a FAKE burmester soundsystem, they will charge you 600 euros just to have silver burmester caps...speakers are the same with cars like vw skoda etc..

@@fayahmad9063 whatever dude. Not sure if you've driven one or what reviews you've seen but you are wrong. There is precisely a 1/10th of a second difference in 0-60mph/0-100kmph. BTW, CLA45 will walk a C43.
