That is a real picture of me... lol. Definitely a fan of the use of highlights on the clothes to add the snow worn appearance - not sure why I completely forgot you could do that lol. The addition of the spirit was a great touch - Isi - is usually hungry for attention. I really enjoyed seeing another's perspective on a creation!
I love how my model turned out, it still has the vibe I wanted to keep, great work! The wings were a surprise since the original character concept originally had wings but i decided to not place them on the model since it didn't reall work with the armor set in my opinion. I use themes as sort of a "sketch" method in placing colours because I hate it when I miss an area uncolored, so it's just what I use as a lazy person.
@@Derfholm Tbh I have a singular pet peeve about the model which is the fact that I can't really edit or do much to the model itself since I don't have pro. Gotta get it soon. I have edited the original model somewhat of a time ago, so the least I can do is transfer colors and decals which I prefer over the original palette.
@@FiveTen007 Do you have Discord? If so I could send you a version of the model without the Extra model. It will lack a few features, such as the double hairstyle and the double-legs, but for the most part it will be quite similar
i like how the wendigo in the last one looks like it's standing next to it's older sister going like "you got any games on your phone" while not realizing they are almost 2 times her size
While I’m disappointed to have not been selected, that disappointment is greatly overshadowed by my appreciation for the content you provide and the creative approach you have taken to these models. All three are very different and serve to demonstrate your ability to come up up with very interesting concepts. Thanks for continuing to share. Great work!
So I made a sorcerer who was a polymorphed gold dragon who was cursed to be unable to change back, so his story would be trying to find the cause and reversing it. I knew immediately the concept had likely been done a TON over the years and I've seen two examples on this channel alone of dragons disguised as heroes.
Knowing how advanced your models are, I'm sure I'll one day be unlucky enough to draw you, and then scramble desperately trying to find something to change without ruining it (have mercy on my soul)
These aren't reworks, these are transformations! Great use of detail and layering, I see you do things I wouldn't think of but once you do, I want to try those techniques too. Your work is inspirational.
A great set of works by you, yet again. Thanks for setting this all up, Derf, and thank you again for the excellent models you create and present to us.
I'm happy to be involved, better luck next time for me I guess. These videos got me much further into Hero Forge than I already was, and its just a joy to watch either way
Amazing job with all of these! At first I was kinda sad because my character didn't make it but I was so excited when you gave my character (Oceki) the background I always wanted to gave her ( 28:34 ) Thank you!
Funny you should mention that, it was the only model of the whole bunch I gave a unique background that wasn't the baseline grey. When I put it on, it just instinctively bothered me that such a soulful aquatic concept would be stuck on a boring grey background so I swapped it to the colourful beach. But I'm also a bit biased as someone who loves oceans & beaches & fishy things
Great video if you do this again (i really hope you do ) are you going to Pick some of the characters that you did not chose for this video or does it all has to be new ones anyways this was really cool hope you like to make these with all the Time you put into it
@@kristianholsting5966 Ah, I see. I'll consider it, however I fear the obvious downside of it would be that anyone newer who didn't submit would then not be allowed to enter, which I can't imagine would be a popular solution. But, I keep changing my format for these as I go along so we'll cross that bridge when we get to it
I will, yes! I can't guarantee exactly when, but I do have a plan to re-do this sometime soon. Within the next 5 or so videos at least, probably! You should join the Discord if you haven't already, that's where submissions for such a video will be!
Man the model calle Eleonora is soo interesting i would love to see it there is some way to watch it? Your video made me improve soo much, keep up the good work ;)
Thank you for the compliments! However the Eleonora model is not mine, it was one of the submissions for this video, so I wouldn't be able to say much about it, apologies :(
Loving all your content mate. I've noticed lately that getting the two models to line up exactly is causing excess clipping and even slight changes in the colour that comes through between the two models. How are you getting around this?
The clipping is something that you need to get around by editing body measurements and changing clothing until you find something that you find acceptable. However, the slight changes in colour will usually be a result of lighting issues. Due to how lighting works in Heroforge, it will sometimes prioritize one model, or one area, over another. If this happens I usually try to pull the better looking model an inch or two ahead of the other, to put it in a better light --- granted, all of this is kind of hard to explain via text, and I'm also unsure if that's exactly what you mean In case I misunderstood, try explain again and I'll get back to you
That perfectly explains it. Looking now it's definitely the lighting that is making the difference. Thanks for following up. Keep up the excellent content!
Not right now! There was briefly a glitch that allowed 3 models, but the HF team patched it after about 3 days. However, this was a blessing in disguise, as they simultaneously confirmed we are getting 3 models on one base as an official feature in the future, we just have to be patient. As for combining larger amounts of models as a whole - you can use the 'Scenemaker' in the Pro-Booth section, but it's a zoomed out rectangular image, and very demanding on your PC, so it's quite rarely used.
It's a mix of various things. Most of it comes from the TH-cam audio library under the 'Cinematic' category, but there's also some videogame music. In this video, a good few of the tracks come from Runescape 3

I really like how you add some sort of line of action and fluid motion to the poses! It helps make the model more real and less like a statue
Amazing work, my friend!
That wendigo really adds a lot to an already great model.

Steel Dragons lore is incredible, base of that there should be 0 draconic reference at all on the mode. Amazing anyway.
