Yes her makeup is always beautiful. I wish she would do a tutorial too. A life changing book for me was Memoirs of the Senators wife. Tried the magic in the book it actually worked for me. It was a combination Ninth House, My Dark Vanessa and Daisy Jones & the 6. I wish Emma would review. Below is the book trailer th-cam.com/video/u0iqBX1bOXI/w-d-xo.html
"screaming at the book by the end" that's me when I get so invested in a book, I start yelling and crying and laughing at the book. Then, ranting about it lol. This is so relatable to me. Also just discovered your channel emma! Love it and love it when you talk about shadowhunters. :)
I feel like Daisy Jones is so many people’s favorites this year and it’s well deserved. It was my number one too. I’m jealous of people who haven’t read it and that have yet to experience it.
YAY! A new video from my favorite booktuber! I’ve been looking up to your videos for a while now and you’re one of my main inspirations to start my own booktube channel! 📸 Love your videos and hope you have a great 2020 reading year! 🤗
I just got my Mum (a 70s kid) to read Daisy Jones and The Six and she had to ask me if they were a real band because she couldn't understand how she'd never heard of them until now 😂
as someone who’s been here from the beginning, it’s incredible to watch you go from someone who never read fantasy to having it on your favorites list :o
These are immediately going on my top TBR! Especially, My Dark Vanessa- I’ve heard such great things! & DAISY JONES was AMAZING! Definitely one of my favorites of all time!
If 2 years back someone told emmma that her favourite book is gonna be an adult book and no Cassie Clare books would made to the list, would she have believed that person 😂😂😂😂
Daisy Jones and Serpent & Dove both made my video too! Now that you've talked about Ninth House, I'm really hoping to pick it up soon. Also I love your sweater!!
I was so shocked by your #1 favorite book! I had no idea you even read that book this year! Have you even talked about it on your channel before? ;) (I actually picked it up on audiobook on your recommendation and thoroughly enjoyed it so thank you!)
I'm really glad that other people are enjoying My Dark Vanessa! I read it after receiving it at ALA last summer and it really helped me come to terms with my own trauma.
I read Ace of Shades and King of Fools both in 2019 (Ace of Shades made my top books of 2019 as well) And I am still not over what happened at the end of King of Fools, I was not ready for it and I still don't want to believe a certain thing is true. I can't wait to read Queen of Volts when it comes out in September plus the cover looks amazing! One of my most anticipated releases of the year.
I absolutely loved Ninth House as well! It was on my favorites of the year. And I feel you when you say it's weird to tell people you enjoyed the dark parts, because I feel the same way!
I'm glad I'm not the only person who loved Ninth House! I have seen so many mixed reviews and I completely get why it's not everyone's cup of tea, but it just WORKED for me.
I've started daisy Jones so many times and i always give it up for the newest fantasy book but damn you def talked me into reading it finally!!! Already started the audio book "end of f***** story" i love the tattoo and i hope i love the book as much as you do!!#
Oh i'd been waiting for Ninth House and I'm so glad you love it- it means I'll love it too! Can't wait for all of it to be released to binge read it...
I read Ace of Shades in November after you had recommended it and can't wait to read King of Fools as well. I also want to pick up My Dark Vanessa and actually every single book you mentioned. The way you describe the books you love just makes me want to read them but I also think you make a really good job summarising the plot and that hooks me even more most of the time. I also read Daisy Jones and the Six 3 times this year and I love that book so much!!! I can't wait to hear your thoughts on The Toll. It wasn't what I was expecting but I really loved it anyway! Hope you are having a great day ❤️
I haven't read Serpent and Dove yet, but you mentioned that it's a fantasy set in France and i need to read it soon! And People kill People sounds so intriguing, I'm nervous about picking it up but I'm interested in checking it out. I'm amazed that a book like that can cover so many perspectives. And maybe I'll pick up ninth house in 2020, we'll see! I can't wait for the third book from Amanda Foody! King of Fools definitely kept me on the edge of my seat, haha! Talk about politics and magic perfection 😍 I don't think I'll read the Vanessa book but my jaw dropped when you mentioned that it's a debut! And Daisy Jones, an absolute queen!
Daisy Jones and the Sixth was also my favorite read of 2019- but I read Ninth House this January and am completely obsessed. I read Daisy 3 times and was so impressed.
Emma, if you haven't already read it, you should totally consider reading Lies You Never Told Me by Jennifer Donaldson!! It is such an amazing book and the ending blew my mind in the best ways. It has a similar kind of theme to My Dark Vanessa and I think and hope that you would love it!! Ps i love your channel :)
I keep seeing videos of people reading My Dark Vanessa and it's torture! That's my most anticipated book for 2020. I'm glad you got to read it though 🙂
Ellen Hopkins other books also hit HARD. She's never afraid to go places a lot of other authors don't - definitely recommend! I love her style and perspectives. I super recommend her other books - I started with Crank and it's companions and also very much loved Burned. Definitely pay attention to what they're dealing with though for sure content warnings there!
Theres these really great books called "flawed" and "perfect" by cecelia ahern, its a duology. Its a distopian book and i really enjoyed reading it and would love to hear your thoughts and opinions on it 😊
I really expected to see Red, White, and Royal Blue on your list! I've already added My Dark Vanessa to my amazon wish list. End of the year/Fall Reading Wrap Up coming out anytime soon? :)
I picked up Serpent and Dove but haven't read it yet. Ninth House is one I have been wanting to pick up as well. I didn't read too much in 2019 but I did read the whole Mistborn series and loved it.
King of Fools was my favourite book of 2019 omg!! The ending literally broke me for an entire week and I couldn't even fully process the entire ending because SO MUCH HAPPENED
Let Me Hear a Rhyme was a surprising favorite for me too, lots of great nostalgia. BTW...like what you like, but I suggest watching Bowties and Books' review of Serpent and Dove. This book has some seriously offensive shit in it that some readers are either not seeing at all or are ignoring, and neither of those is ideal. Not saying you can't enjoy it, but would be good for you to hear from POC about why this book was super problematic, not just on race but also fat phobia and other areas.
I really recommend you Crank by Ellen Hopkins. She never holds back. It's about an addict and her relationship with her enviroment while she's still consuming. Its really raw and explicit so, if you choose to read it, go into it with care.
I didn't realise People Kill People was a novel in verse! I also really need to read Ninth House, Daisy Jones and am intrigues about Dark Vanessa... Hope you find many new favourites in 2020 too!
I loved loved loved Ninth House! I found connections in myself through the book in so many ways. It was totally worth the hype as well, it genuinely took me by surprise 🤗🤗
2019 was one of the biggest book slump years but I finished Kingdom of Ash this year as well as all of the grishaverse and soc books but Kingdom of Ash really has to be my top book of the year because it changed my life in so many ways its wild. I really want to pick up serpent and dove soon because it sounds so good but I'm currently trying to work through Queen of nothing so hopefully 2020 is a good reading year for me !
My favourites of the year: the toll; red white, and royal blue; mistborn: the final empire; and a conjuring of light P.s. I'm pretty sure the toll is going to make it to your favourites of 2020 because holy crap it is THAT GOOD!
All of your books beside one really even though there is actually two anyways beside those two books all of your books is on my TRB list to get and I cant wait for my next book haul because most of those books will be on that one. Thanks for the video
DAISY JONES & THE SIX FELT SOOO REALLLL!!!!!! By the end I wanted to be able to download every single one of there songs to my phone and just listen to them on repeat while crying.
Also I watched like every pole training video ! Your killing girl and from watching you for so long I really believe your glowing and loving yourself more 🖤
You are so beautiful and a great video once again! 😊 I was wondering if you have read The Toll yet, and if you were planning on doing a spoiler filled review on it like the other two? :)
Am I the only one who hates Serpent & Dove?? I was SO excited when my library finally got it because everyone online gushed about it but I thought the plot was so terrible and the romance was so forced. Lou felt like a bad fan fiction version of a Sarah J Maas character lol. And that stupid Liddy song... talk about beating a dead horse, that joke was cringey the first time and then she had to bring it up about 50 more times throughout that book.
emma’s makeup always looks so on point. makeup tutorial + book chat?? i think yes
yesssss
Yes her makeup is always beautiful. I wish she would do a tutorial too.
A life changing book for me was Memoirs of the Senators wife. Tried the magic in the book it actually worked for me. It was a combination Ninth House, My Dark Vanessa and Daisy Jones & the 6. I wish Emma would review. Below is the book trailer th-cam.com/video/u0iqBX1bOXI/w-d-xo.html

I’m so glad you loved these books! And I must say, your moon sweater with the pink eyeshadow is EVERYTHING.
I feel like Daisy Jones is so many people’s favorites this year and it’s well deserved. It was my number one too. I’m jealous of people who haven’t read it and that have yet to experience it.
Aissata Amadou i’m about to read it lmao. very excited!!
YAY! A new video from my favorite booktuber! I’ve been looking up to your videos for a while now and you’re one of my main inspirations to start my own booktube channel! 📸 Love your videos and hope you have a great 2020 reading year! 🤗
The best about booktube it's watch people get excited about books 🥰

I just got my Mum (a 70s kid) to read Daisy Jones and The Six and she had to ask me if they were a real band because she couldn't understand how she'd never heard of them until now 😂

Emma I love the way you describe books! I appreciate the detail & specificity

Ninth House made a lot of top lists this year! On my TBR for sure :) Aww your tattoo is so great. What a lovely connection from a book you cherish!
These are immediately going on my top TBR! Especially, My Dark Vanessa- I’ve heard such great things! & DAISY JONES was AMAZING! Definitely one of my favorites of all time!
i could listen to you talking about daisy jones & the six FOR HOURS 😭😭😭 i cannot thank you enough for recommending this book
If 2 years back someone told emmma that her favourite book is gonna be an adult book and no Cassie Clare books would made to the list, would she have believed that person 😂😂😂😂
It's so refreshing seeing someone talk about King of Fools. I love that series so much and I can't wait for Queen of Volts
I loved King of Fools too!! I also read Ace of Shades in 2019 and that made my favourites list 💗 I don't hear many people talk about this series!
Daisy Jones and the Six absolutely wrecked me in the best way possible. I still can’t stop thinking about it. And the audiobook? STUNNING🙌🏻
can’t wait to check out some of these recommendations emma! you look beautiful as always 💕
I'm so glad you're checking out more adult books! Now that I'm in my late 20's I'm finding it difficult to connect and relate to YA stories. lol
Daisy Jones and Serpent & Dove both made my video too! Now that you've talked about Ninth House, I'm really hoping to pick it up soon. Also I love your sweater!!
I was so shocked by your #1 favorite book! I had no idea you even read that book this year! Have you even talked about it on your channel before? ;) (I actually picked it up on audiobook on your recommendation and thoroughly enjoyed it so thank you!)
sis she literally got a tattoo from the book and talks about it nonstop haha! where you been?
Shaina Zinn sorry I was being sarcastic! I thought the wink would be enough to give it away!
omg i love your daisy jones tattoo, it’s also one of my favourite books of 2019 🥺💕
I have been waiting for this video from you! You look stunning as always!
I'm really glad that other people are enjoying My Dark Vanessa! I read it after receiving it at ALA last summer and it really helped me come to terms with my own trauma.

my favourite reads of 2019: six of crows, a darker shade of magic and red, white and royal blue.
taste
ahh these all look so great! I've added a few to my TBR! Some of my fav's of 2019 were Sorcery of Thorns, Nevernight and A Curse so Dark and Lonely 😍
Your vibe is on point! I absolutely love the moons.

That’s a beautiful edition of Ninth House!
