I binged on the Shadowhunter chronicles for the very first time and I fell in love with this world , and it would not have been possible if I didn't see ur videos
Absolutely loving the style choice, super cute look! On a book related note, it's awesome that you are able to speak on how books relate to you personally so well! Love all your videos ❤️
Lost count of how many times I paused this to go add books onto my wishlist! I have bought so many books on your recommendations and I've never been disappointed ❤️
I'm currently reading The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue (about 25% in) and I agree that the writing is absolutely gorgeous. I feel like this is going to be a 5 star book, for sure
HI Emma! Chain of Gold got me sobbing (SOBBING! and TREMBLING! and blurring my glasses) like crazy. Best read of 2020 hands down... I wanted to know what you thought of Queen of Volts because you didn't talk about it much on your channel (have you read it) cuz I'm on page 150 of King of Fools (JAC ♥) and I need to prepare myself:)
Great video! loved Hand on the Wall, Addie LaRue, and Chain of Gold as well! Great reads. I read my lady jane last year, (just recently read plain jane). Such a great series of books!!! I also read Sadie, and Six of Crows in 2020. A Pretty good reading year I think. (Also the year where I DNF'd the most books, but that's ok. Shows I'm growing into my specific reading tastes. Lol).
6:33 so interesting to see someone have such a different opinion about the end of the book. I was so excited when I read the choice Morrigan made because I think it will make the 4th book so interesting.
You always inspire me to keep reading more and I appreciate that even though I listen to audiobooks your videos are still super encouraging and helpful
knew Chain of Gold was gonna be on here!! I’ve already bought 2 copies of Chain of Iron 😅 I preordered one with a gift card after Christmas and just bought a ticket for your tour date with Cassie!! so excited for the interview and the signed book/tour items to come 🥰
Love this video as always Emma! I also loved Clap When You Land but my favorite is The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo but all of her books have a special place in my heart. I’m really hoping to get to Heroine, The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, The House on the Cerulean Sea, and Punching the Air! Here are my favorites of 2020 that I really enjoyed (in no particular order except top three): 1. The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo 2. Wild Beauty by Anna-Marie McLemore 3. Wicked Fox by Kat Cho 4. Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan 5. Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor 6. The Bone Houses by Emily Lloyd-Jones 7. Butterfly Yellow by Thannha Lai 8. On the Come Up by Angie Thomas 9. Sal and Gabi Break the Universe by Carlos Hernandez 10. Lair of Dreams by Libba Bray 11. The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi 12. Skyward by Brandon Sanderson 13. The Weight of the Stars by K. Ancrum 14. A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir 15. Love and Luck by Jenna Evans Welch
10. Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare 9. The Final Six by Alexandra Monir 8. The Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller 7. Seasons of the Storm by Elle Cosimano 6. Supernova by Marissa Meyer 5. Geekerella by Ashley Poston 4. These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong 3. A Heart So Fierce and Broken by Brigid Kemmerer 2. American Royals by Katharine McGee 1. Love & Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch
Your taste in books is always amazing! I’ve read a lot of books based off your recommendations and have loved them! Your enthusiasm is always appreciated as well, hahaha! ☀️
Also had Hollowpox, Clap When You Land and The House in the Cerulean Sea in my top reads of last year 🙌 I also loved Felix Ever After, Cemetery Boys, All Boys Aren't Blue, The Falling in Love Montage, The Black Flamingo and books one and two in A Pinch of Magic series by Michelle Harrison!
Emma your videos are fantastic!! I also loved the hand in the wall and I read it this month!! Keep making amazing videos and hope you read a lot of great books!!!
Mine were the entire shadowhunters chronically world which I got into from a friends recommendation in quarantine. I cant belive its been less then a year, since I read these incredible books. I also loved a List of Cages, which I got into thanks to you.
Many of these were my favourites of the year too! Especially Where the Crawdads Sing and House in the Cerulean Sea(the perfect comfort book for 2020 and I can’t WAIT for TJ Clunes next book). Addie Larue came in the post yesterday and I am dying to start it. Btw I liked the editing transitions you added between each book 😁
I enjoyed the vanishing half as well although I feel like it needed a more conclusive ending? For me it felt like it was really building somewhere and then it just....stopped ahahaha
Love your look and nails in this video ^.^ I recently read punching the air and it was amazing and heartbreaking. I also had clap when you land on my favourites because it was so so good. Hoping to read hollowpox and grown this year, and hopefully Heroine soon too as I own all three. Hope your reading in 2021 will be great x
Addie Larue was a fave for me this year, too. I had never read something like that, so unique and stunningly written. Also I’m a sucker for the villain as loveinterest trope, sooooo of course I stanned Addie and Luc‘s dynamic 😍
"Heroine" is going to be the next book that I'm going to read. Sounds so interesting to me. Especially because I'm working as an addiction counselor. Also where did you get this amazing jacket from? Looks awesome 😍
Heroine was definielty in my top 10, and I read it because of you talking about it on your channel :) Do you think you'll ever talk about your story? It could probably help some people and educate others.
Can I just read infernal devices and then start with chain of gold? And I also want to read the dark artifices. Where to put the lady midnight series amidst those two? Plzzzzz telll
The best order to read them in is Infernal Devices Last Hours The Mortal instruments Malec Series Tales of the Shadowhunter Academy Shadow Market And then Dark Artifices. TDA is the only trilogy that requires you to read The Mortal Instruments first. Well, not “requires” but you will be very confused and the story will lack all the depth that it’s so beautifully crafted with
at first read infernal devices, then chain of gold and at the very ending read dark artifices. Before dark artifices you should, and I reccomend you to read mortal instruments, coz If you at first read dark artifices you will have spoiled almost all mortal instruments series :) so... 1. Infernal devices 2. The last hours 3. Dark artifices
This seems like a lot to ask, but Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger changed my life the way The Shadow hunter world changed yours. I want to thank you very much for all the positivity and bookish love you give. I was wondering if you could possibly read the first one to simply try it out. Again you dont have to at all I was simply wondering. THANK YOU LOVE YA
I still have yet to get to Addie LaRue! 😭it's on my TBR promised...Thank you for this! You motivate me to keep going, to keep visiting so many new worlds. Is it true about BookExpo and BookCon; are they canceled?
the accent at 0:38 in "order" lol is that a new york accent?? (english is not my first language so i enjoy a lot listening to the different inflections from different states lol)
Interesting choices. Where the Crawdads Sing, was a great read, although I did sip the poems liberally sprinkled through the text. 11:18 I think you mean Tate (or Chase) not "Owen"...
I instantly knew that Chain of Gold and Addie LaRue are going to be the top faves!
Yeah, un all the channels, claureadsbooks also put it two on the list
Emma: Hey what’s up hello!
Me: Oh my gosh hi! I’m so excited to be here!
I’m excited you’re here too!!
I binged on the Shadowhunter chronicles for the very first time and I fell in love with this world , and it would not have been possible if I didn't see ur videos

Yes, Addie LaRue is my favorite of 2020 too! I want to savor that writing style forever.

I just finished Hollowpox and absolutely agree it's the best so far in the series.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Addie Larue was a fave for me this year, too. I had never read something like that, so unique and stunningly written. Also I’m a sucker for the villain as loveinterest trope, sooooo of course I stanned Addie and Luc‘s dynamic 😍

Can't wait to watch this during my lunch break from school 😊💕💆🏿♀️
Totally want to read House in the Cerulean Sea ASAP! And wow, I’ve never heard of Heroine before but it sounds so interesting.
heroine was such a strong depiction of what addiction looks like, it was scary and saddening but brutually honest. So well done.
Where the Crawdads Sing was my favorite book of 2020. I loved it a lot ❤️
thank u for making the start of 2021 a little bit brighter with your videos
Chain of Gold was sooooooooooo good. I've preordered Chain of Iron, and I can not wait for Sword Catcher either.

Heroine was definielty in my top 10, and I read it because of you talking about it on your channel :) Do you think you'll ever talk about your story? It could probably help some people and educate others.
your hair looks so good🖤
Yay! So excited💕
Amazing choices!
