    On setting the low speed jet. Another channel went through stihls procedure that seems like the way to go to me. Set the idle stop to 500rpm over the recommended idle rpm. Adjust the jet to max rpm. Adjust the idle stop back to 500rpm above target.Repeat 2 or 3 times. Then adjust idle jet down to recommended idle rpm.

    If you want to port that saw I can tell you the easiest way. Buy a 268 non windowed piston(I used a highway 268 popup) and stack base gaskets to set the squish. Presto, ported saw. I did open up the lower transfers on mine but don't think that is necessary.Although I don't know for sure.ended up with 3 base gaskets, 80 intake, 102.5 exhaust, .022 squish. And I modded the muffler. It rips.

    Nice overview of the saw. I've been kind of curious about them. Looking forward to seeing it be put to work!

      I’ve got a few videos out of me running it. The stable is full of better saws, but I’ll continue to beat on it

      @Man-Time I understand that. Been busy, so I've been lacking on watching everyone's videos. I'll check them out.

    #FoolinU -- get you a real NGK and put side by side - you'll likely see the font & colour of the NGK on your G372's plug is slightly off. Yes Sir, the HLIC carbs aren't too bad. I've also had good luck with the Nimtek ones from the jungle website too.

    Spend the money on brand name. If can't swing the big two go w an Echo. Got a 590 60cc, luv it. Bought holzforma 372xp year ago. Ive cut maybe 1 cord w it. Replaced pull rope after 2nd use. OEM carb to get it running good. OEM oiler cuz original wasn't doing it for 24". Don't know if that's working because when I went to start it it was locked up. Pulled plug, muffler, and recoil. All looked good. Turned fly by hand. Very hard at first but freed up. Put recoil on and worked fine. Replaced everything else. Tried to start and was locked up again. Couldn't break loose this time. At shop now, waiting to hear damage. Again don't waste $ on these P O S(💩💩💩). Again Echo less $ than the big names. Unfortunately they won't warranty if you get it on line.

      Well said had a 372 clone and by the time I fixed everything could by a echo 590. Which I did and sold the clone, and love it. Echo 590 is best bang for your buck will last years and even cuts faster than the clone 372 with a muffler mod.

    Nice video love how you went through everything! Been going to order a g372 myself and since you ordered straight from China, can you tell me if there's anything other import fees or anything that we have to pay when we order straight from holtzfforma? Thanks any info on this would be greatly appreciated because we wouldn't want any surprise charges or fees

      I’ve ordered a few from Holzfforma direct and hadn’t had any additional fees. But the shipping is Like $80 or something. No additional fees here in the US

    Nice job on the instructional that is quite helpful, what about the oil mix, like there recommending something like 25:1 seems a lot

    • @Man-Time
      @Man-Time  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I always use 40:1 or 8oz oil in my 2.5gal can.

      Depends on the oil. Apparently they don't use good oil in China. Pretty much any name brand 2 stroke oil in the US you can run any thing up to 50/1 without problem I run formula k2 at 40/1 in mine. Ran echo powerblend gold for years in my other saws at 40/1. Either is fine. I modified my 372xp for more power, switched to k2 for a little more protection as the saw will run hotter. Looking for cheap, Castrol go is a good oil. Powerblend gold and k2 are about the same price. If your saw isn't modified k2 will probably spooge out the exhaust( higher flash point)

      I bought one, wish I hadn't. Nothing but trouble. Engine locked up while not in use. I have no idea how it's possible but it did. Maybe a clip or pin fell out in bottom of engine.
