I recommend carrying an ultralight camp trowel in the bathroom kit in case you need to make a deposit. For a "cat hole" it's recommended to dig 8 inches down and 8 inches wide and at least 200 feet from any water source. Leave your biodegradable paper in there and stir it with a stick. No need to pack waste out.
John, great set up but you might want to also consider carrying a folding saw, gloves and a tarp with cordage. Doesn't add that much extra weight to the backpack but compliments your fire tools, just in case.
Not retired yet, 4 more years. In the meantime I just make the time to get out whenever possible so I can get away from all of the distractions and electronics of daily life, so I can get through the next 4 years.

Great idea and information. Thanks for sharing. I’ll definitely keep it in mind next time nature calls.

Thanks for the tip
I’ll take that into consideration and see if I think it’s worth it the next time I’m out. Thanks
Good advice!
