are longshot and growling sidewinder fighting they have been realy agressive with their vedios for the past 5days they have been launching vedios consecutively
Was just watching old WW2 dog fights and thought about how far technology and modern air combat has become, then this popped up😂 love watching your uploads mate👍🏼
I think holding on to your tank kept you from going cold faster which enabled the missile to kill you in round one. You should try going up against two SU-35s with the F-16 but without the mountains. The terrain of Ukraine is flat with some rolling hills. It's not very ideal for hiding.
@@chuckfarley4130Thats not how physics works. All missile has finite fuel, and a good pilot can very well take advantage of that and dodge any missile.
There’s a saying among military aviators that when you drop tanks, you’re “ringing the Generals doorbell”, because you better have a good reason for throwing away the taxpayers $ for those expensive tanks. Lolol
Hey Longshot ,, Rags here1st round was clean. 2nd round was awesome! It's odd to me that the Fox 3 of the Russian flanker the back of the missile looks like brakes to slow it down such as snake eyes. Maybe it was just the angle. Any event, that was an awesome ROCKIN' DOG FIGHT ! Bogie dope and I'm glad you were able to look up that gave you every advantage in the world. He was like Nnoooooo ! 🫣🤣 Keep them coming brother
Now make 1 F16 against 10 Su-35 and without covering mountains, with several S-300 and S-400 systems and AA on the ground to be as faithful to *reality* as possible🌚
We have a great video idea here guys, it would be a style of video like, "as long as you can survive", GS would be cool too, lots of laughs anticipated, They look at the radar and there are 20 missiles coming💀
How much time do you save editing a 1v1 vs a longer mission with multiple wingmen and bandits? The pace you're publishing videos this week is impressive
If you have the superior long-range capability, wouldn't you want to keep flying straight ahead for a while once you fired? As soon as you go defensive or crank, your opponent pretty much knows you fired a missile and acts accordingly.
Not really, they are long range area denial weapons and pretty easy to shake off by agile fighters with good awareness, R-77's would have a higher pk at it's respective range than the R37M.
@@kermittoad yeah, i know, but the r-37m still have the superior range and it would be good to have 2 of those and the rest r-77s, you will atleast have 2 launches with the ability to shoot your bandit and expect nothing on return.
Dumb question, if he had missile lock, fired and went defensive, WHY waste a missile shot shut to let him know you cared? Why waste a missile? Probability circle went to minuscule.
@@chuckfarley4130 it’s important to constantly innovate. The Air Force and Navy know they cannot afford to loose air superiority. What DARPA and other entities are pursuing is smart autonomous defensive micro drones that deploy a lot like flares/ chaff. The difference is they will then immediately work to overcome the incoming missile wether by heat and radar signature (or both) or by flying to intercept the incoming missile all within 400-800 meters (1/4-1/2 mile). Also fighters and bombers are going to begin carrying ever more powerful directed energy weapons (why were pushing for more power for the F-35 and future aircraft). One thing the US has let itself fall behind, relative to where it could have been had it continued developing and fielding an EF-111, is offensive EW. Targeted intelligent EW can wreak havoc on missiles. I don’t believe fighters or bombers are going anywhere. I believe drones will become “drone hunters” that like we have witnessed through out history, nations that take warfare seriously will constantly develop new weapons and tactics to fight and conquer their foes.
@@chuckfarley4130 obviously your confuse. “UAVs Under a joint program (Teal Rain) with the U.S. Navy, DARPA funded the development of the first endurance unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), Amber, of the many areas being reserved by DARPA AI and its potential use in unmanned drones, aircraft and weapons systems is chief among them”
This great fight and seeing a prospective Ukrainian livery for the F16 makes me think I don't really get the point what the Ukrainians would do with F16s. I mean, they don't enjoy air superiority over their own territory, so making them fly anywhere close to the frontline for ground attack is too dangerous against Russian fighters. Even if the F16s are slightly better, it's still too much of a gamble considering their rarity. And flying closer to the border would be insane against long-range SAMs. And there's too few F16s to really shift the balance in the air. They could be used to down drones strikes over Kiev or Lviv, but what would be the point of using such costly fighters to down cheap drones, when the supplied SAMs are already doing a pretty good job ? Maybe the money would have been better spent on better SAMs in order to deny Russian air operations. Or maybe they intend to use the F16s to fire Storm Shadows at standoff range, which would be viable but once again they already had jets capable of doing it. Anybody can explain me the plan ?
From what i have seen from footage from Ukraine i assume that ukr. leadership and commanders see any western equipment as some kind of undefeatable wonder weapon. They got Leopard 2A6s, Challengers, they just sent those into mine fields under artilery fire... and guess what? It got destroyed and everybody was surprised. And we can see same pattern with F-16. So many american pilots said that f-16 is no use against su-30/35 or S-300/400. One more thing: Mig-29s and Su-27s (operated by Ukraine in very limited numbers) have really sturdy gear to take off from harsh concrete block runways or even grass... try to take off from concrete block runway with f-16. Not even mentioning that russians can destroy airfields with cruise missiles basically at will. Tu-160s and tu-95 launching those missiles don't even have to leave russian airspace
Primary use would be to aid existing air defense systems in shooting down drones, cruise missiles. There's plenty of older aim-9 and 120 variants that are relatively cheap. Mig 29's are struggling with HARMS, so some SEAD with it's full capacity, effectiveness will completely depend on how good of a training they get due to SEAD/DEAD being one of the most complex mission sets ever. Can do some jdam drops which they already do with Mig-29, Su27 which can only carry 2 per aircraft due to some integration issues while F-16 can do 4 per. It's going to be used purely defensively in relatively safe environment behind the front lines.

Thank you man
Great job of overcoming bandit's tactics - scary but exciting!
Another fun vid - thanks again, LS!
Thank you, cheers
When you said “And that’s it.” Then 💥 Got my heart pumping 😅
Your buddy, growling sidewinder survived being shot down, only to walk in front of a car and get flattened like a pancake. It was hilarious.
Good fights! Loved the vantage point from the Fox 3s!

Just like Daniel Boone and Davey Crockett. Some days you eat the bear, and some days the bear eats you.
Its not often a flanker gets flanked
except when the king of flanking is the one doing the flanking....... i am always amazed on how resourceful LS is in bvr
I love that missile pow camera
NICE FIGHT, LS!!

This fight will happen in 2024 but unfortunately no mountains in Ukraine to duck
Russia uses interception tactics so I doubt a standoff will happen like that.
There are but only in the west, far from the frontline
Ну если в кабине будет американский пилот, пусть попробует полетать над украиной. Думаю, это будет его последний полёт.
That livery is so sick.
That was a brilliant tactic.
I want to see in a video the drop tanks impact the ground 😂
I am really enjoying these!
Thanks for the content
good pilot with an underdog jet can beat a very good jet

there are F16's with far better radar than what we have in DCS.
