I love playing simulators, I started with Arma 3 and then I saw DCS World. I also enjoy War Thunder , Battlefield , Ghost recon, Squad , Rome total war, Microsoft Flight Simulator and more. I also enjoy World War II games including il-2 In DCS World i found all the jets that i wanted to fly in a simulator the F 16 Viper , FA 18 Hornet , F 15 Eagle , A 10 Warthog , SU 27 , Mig 29 , P 51 , Spitfire , AH 64 Apeche , Heuy and more... And if you will download MODs the options are endless: F 22 Raptor, SU 57 , A 4 Skyhawk , SR 71 Blackbird , Rafale, Gripen and the list goes on.

Su-35 Mod thrust vectoring doesn't really work, he can easily force his nose up and slow down to stay behind the Gripen.

The problem with the Flankers us they are designed for that knife fight.
Which just isn't the way it works for the vast majority of air combat anymore.
It's kind of funny that with all the tech (jet engines, composite materials, avionics and aerodynamic improvements) that in a gun fight, it still comes back to basic WW1 manuveuring. "Speed kills, but in lift we trust!!"

I usually root for the prettier fighter to win, but I'm stuck here, both of these jets are absolutely gorgeous!
You read these fights like a book man! He's just flying along, minding his own business over there meanwhile you're playing 4D chess, calling out his mistakes and your own slip ups a full 20 or more seconds before either one of you starts to pull lead 😂 I'm pretty sure you called out the winner of some of those rounds during their first turns! Very impressive piloting!

4:40 Few years ago i saw documentary about russian airforce and pilots flying Su-27 variants, they showed some footage from the ground of 2 Su-27 training dogfight, and it looked like what You do here with Gripen, super slow on the verge of stall.
Really enjoyable, have to watch again.

Love the gripen it is an extremely well thoughtout and built aircraft made for more unconventional aspects that most other fighter jets would not be used for. The perfect fighter jet for a nation such as Sweden. If Australia wasn't so big and vast it would be a great jet to have instead of that waaay over hyped and over priced flying coffin known as the F35.

Where's thrust-vectoring in Su-35? In term of flight performance without trust vectoring it's just Su-27 with slightly more powerful engines.

does the Su35 here have TVC? it doesnt seem nearly as maneuverable as the Su30 mod
Imagine a Gripen E with 20% more thrust to work with yes it is 2000kg heavier but the extra weight is outweighed, pun intended, with 2 extra pylons and 40% more fuel... a better radar and ECM due to it being an AESA also better shaping for a stealthier airframe it would make it an even more difficult fight... all the way from a long range fight down to guns...

are the su35 and grippen even close to peers irl? I was under the impression that the su35 is more comparable to an f22 or potentially better in a dogfight given it's literally just further improvements over several decades to an already impressive formula.
especially as the US admitted after the cold war when they got their hands on one that the flankers were effectively better on every metric to the f15

Yep, it's a game. Wish all that dehumanising propaganda never been used. Ordinary people don't start the wars, but politicians for their ambition, and capital for expansion. I've been flying Sims from 2000 science first IL-2 Shturmovik for red side, for blue side and never support bringing political stuff in to the game.
