- Since I was the only TH-camr that wasn't given access to Cities Skylines 2 we're taking on classic Cities Skylines (City Skyline) challenges whilst we wait for Cities Skylines 2 (CS2)! This time we're engineering a city but there's a world ending natural disaster every 10 minutes!

To get the little warning siren, you need to build a disaster shelter and declare an emergency when it pops up in the upper left corner. They're actually kind of interesting to try.
This video really is an excellent display of hubris. Saying "oh these aren't bad" and then turning them all to 25 and the whole city being destroyed lol

Idea on severity, next time have it start at 1 and each event it increases by 5. Starting at 1 then 5 then by increments of 5 each time until you reach 25 where it stays. This would allow you to build up a larger town in the beginning before dooming it.
just wait until he finds out about the weather slider in the settings that make natural disasters super common.

Try and find exploits that can be used to improve the game before release (Spiff), useful. Poop shoot volcano, not so much.

You could scramble the severity numbers so that they are not in sequence.
It would be great to have a complete map saved, and test all of the natural disasters at severity of 25, and see who did better. 🌪💥
You should distribute the wheel of severe severity more like a dartboard sort of, with higher and lower numbers being shuffled together so any particular region has a more full range of severities

I would like to a Cities Skylines challenge where will have to try and save everyone by evacuate them into underground bunkers before disaster strikes.
It kinds sucks that you didn't get your hands on CS2. You the only person I know who would test the water physics. Nobody, I mean nobody, even bat there eye's at the water
I would actually love to see a series as the rules originally were, every 10 minutes and severity by wheel. See how many videos it take to get to megopolis.

I've seen many many other youtubers, even smaller ones, going to Cologne for that event.
(Obviously i haven't watched the video yet as it's 2 minutes old and i've only read the description)

Did you know that you can drive in cs? You can drive a car if you go into the spectator mode and go to the radial menu. It says drive. You would press it and press where you want to drive. You can walk too!
So, he didn't build any shelters and radio-towers to at least try to save people from the disasters? Truly, one of the engineered cities of all time
If he played the game well, half of his challenges would actually be winnable, rather than 0%.
On my xbox in cities skylines 1 remastered, I built a map set in an apocalypse where there is an abandoned city that you need to reclaim.
I just used highways as the road and added abandoned houses/factories along them.
The rules are: you can only use dirt paths and low density buildings until you reach the tiles with the city. You can only use high density and industrial when you replace the tall buildings and old factories.
Love the series keep it up!

When you said forest fires aren’t that bad, a couple years ago, Australia has a really terrible bushfire near my town. I could feel the fire even though I lived kilometres away from the fires.
RCE has better SC videos than anyone elses SC2 videos.
The tornado at the end is pretty much what happened to Mayfield Kentucky not long ago.
You didnt get Skylines 2? You are literally the person that got me into the game. They should’ve given you Skylines 2. Even Spiff got it and his job is to break it.

Day thirty of asking Matt to add the Second Narrows Bridge, Ironworkers Memorial to the Wheel of Bridgetune
It is a cantilevered truss bridge, carrying 6 lanes of traffic from Vancouver to North Vancouver in B.C. across the second narrowing of the Burrard Inlet.
It's name comes from the fact that it collapsed twice during construction, which unalived 23 people in total (Hence the name, ironworkers memorial).

The LITERAL definition of an earthquake is 2 tectonic plates rubbing together, which causes the fault lines. So naturally setting it to 25.5 is like a 10.0 on the Seismograph (the biggest quake ever recorded was a 9.5) and would cause a fault to visually appear.

Adjust your budget when your electricity demand goes up, before putting in another plant. It's often a money saving solution.
Auto-demolish destroyed buildings is my favourite setting.

Remember that districts allow for you to make non polluting industrial zones but at the cost of electricity or water consumption
