Hey! Met your mother at the bait shop and she asked me if I watch your videos, and I was like “well yes I do!”. I had no luck surf fishing gulf shores coast last week but great content! I’ll get em next time!
I’m a loyal viewer of two other guys from the area - just seeing your channel for the first time. I’m subscribing because you said it’s disrespectful to leave trash on the beach. I hate those people. Great description of gear, tackle and bait. Will be trying the fish gum. Nice video.

Just found your channel, I'm on video 3 and have subscribed. I'm out of the Mobile area and do a ton of surf fishing. The cutout on those rod holders is meant for spinning gear to rest the saddle in. Spin the cutout to face the beach, it'll hold your rods much nicer.

I have one suggestion for you pal. At the top of your rod holder have a 3/4 circle, ( enough so your rod comes out easily), put a foot for he bottom of your ( I use a PVC. cap for that . The reason why is when you have a fish on the pressure of getting your rod out of the tube is much greater than leaning it backwards. Just a thought. I miss New Zealand had that Fishgum. Used it a couple of times when i lived in Oregon.
Boy you spent some money for early in the morning. I’ve used FishGum going back to my first “pomp chews” samples from Tony. Almost no one seems to know about it up here in NC. I caught the two largest Pompano of my life last June. They were both nearly 4 lbs. in weight. I bought an 11’ Ninja Dagger last Nov. but haven’t fished with it. I did cast it and it is awesome. I collect and restore vintage surf spinning reels and only fish with those vintage reels. I have almost 120 reels and use about 3/4 of them. I like being able to switch the AR on and off. I’ve fished that way for 60 years and I’m not changing now. I won’t start fishing up her in NC until early May. I subscribed to your channel. I’ve watched Bama Beach Bum for several years. I hope you will be just as much fun! Good luck with TH-cam.

One of the problems with buying high-quality gear is that you don't get to go shopping for new stuff till it breaks...
Literally got the same set up the other week from J&M I wanted the sarogosa xship they recommended the star rod. Ended getting an 8.5 & a 10 ft. Crazy nice combination.

Wondering. You advertise for FishGum.com. I have used Fish Bites in the pass. Wanted to try Fishgum. Keep going to your link in the videos. Want to buy Fishgum from the online story. Every bait says SOLD OUT. Only thing for sale on the store is funky little tack things I can buy anywhere. Where can I actually buy Fishgum?
Im not 100% sure. Just a fan as well. Fish Gum has been pretty regular at running new batches about mid week and getting inventory on line. Make sure to subscribe to their TH-cam channel. It may give a little intuition as to when things are available.
Hooked Up Bait and Tackle in Gulf Shores, Alabama has a really good stock right now. It does sell out quick!! But currently they have a good inventory of Fish Gum. It's pretty popular.
What kind of work do you do when not fishing?
Does the float color matter on the rig ?
I think it does to an extent depending on the clarity of water. The biggest key is a fresh bait and good location first, then the fish will follow!
Fish gum ? Cant be better than matching the hatch with cast net can it ?
