One of my favorite fishing memories is when I was casting from the bank at dusk and there was a solitary man fishing from his boat on the lake. I heard splashing and it was just barely light enough to see the monster muskie he had pulled in. He let out laughter and a "woo hoo" that was some of the purest human joy I have ever heard. I was so happy for that guy. I still am.

It doesn’t matter to me one bit that you didn’t catch a fish with this bait, there are plenty of “fishing channels” on TH-cam. I come here to see awesome baits being made, and that’s what I get EVERY TIME! this lure is absolutely amazing, and I’m confident that you’ll eventually catch a ton of fish with this bait!
I love muskies. Its my elusive fish. I've made multiple trips to muskie lakes and haven't caught one yet. Hooked into one and lost a lure. I love the content man. A top favorite fish for sure.👍👍👍
I’m Ojibwe from Grand Portage, MN and have never caught a Muskie, awesome that you found and used the ojibwe word for Muskie!! Good pronunciation by the way!!
This was my favourite build to date, that's a gorgeous bait. By the way, additional fun muskie fact - In Muskie systems where Pike are introduced, musky recruitment significantly drops. Pike spawn about 2 weeks earlier and in similar habitats, so what happens is all the juvenile pike will predate the juvenile muskies.
Just found your channel after complaining how expensive lures are and hearing the mrs. telling me how much she misses me woodworking. Time to get to work lol you got yourself a subscriber!
I'm pretty sure youtube automatically puts some dislikes on videos (Like a machine/algorithm that does it), if not I don't know why someone would thumbs down all these great videos
I had a musky attack a large mouth that I was catching. Didn’t get to see how big the musky was but it bit most of the tail off the bass. The bass was 20” long.
Thank you for the blocky/bouyancy/weight ballasting description. I'm finding this very important as I design my glidebait. Super tough when the bait is super thin.
Dang! I hope she’s okay in the end. But if that happened anywhere here in the U.S. our fish and wildlife officials would start a war with all Musky and eradicate them from those waters. Hopefully Ontario didn’t do that.
that was an amazing description of partially cured clear coat. it touches its self and gets all sticky and stringy. ;) that was the funniest thing i have heard today. 100% great videos as always, even thou i am watching this one for the 3rd time since its release
Actually my grandfather's friend was swimming in Caesars Creek, Ohio and he had a diamond ring on his pinky Next thing he knows his friend was screaming and missing a pinky turns out that a muskie came up and attacked his hand because his finger looked like an injured Bait fish flashing. Now I don't go in water lol not even a pond that I know what's in it

An old fly fisherman told me when I started fly fishing and had trouble hooking fish to pinch my barbs down so there's less surface area going through the fishes mouth It instantly worked and I caught fish that otherwise I would of never had the chance at with the barb doubling the thickness of the hook, and that more then makes up for the 1 or 2 that slip the barbless hook love your channel and I use super glue baking soda when tying flies because of you lol

Musky are great fun to catch! Two fish stories, my grandfather caught a 58 inch Musky in Wisconsin decades ago and it hung in a bar on the lake for nearly 30 years, beautiful fish. On that same lake, my sister caught a small Northern and while reeling it in a Musky took a chuck out of it. We have a picture of a 16 ish inch northern with a chunk missing on it's underbelly, they are very much predators in the water.
Love the videos. Awesome bait. A woman got attacked by one in a lake this year not far from me. I was pretty surprised when I heard. Got her leg real good
I bought like a 12-15 inch life-like northern jointed very good quality SB and was wondering what kind of luck you've had on this sort of presentation for muskie. Mine has seen water for probably 6 casts
That is objectively the coolest swimbait anyone could possibly make
