Dude I love the fact that you have an in depth knowledge about the B series, and you are meticulous about each piece. You are humble and knowledgable, I am a disciple of life and god! Thank you! You're a ray of light!
love this content!!! in the process of building my motor.. B18c1 block, ls crank, ls rods, p30 pistons and gsr head. still kind of worried on how to make it all work but this gives me confidence.
I learned something new I’m building a swap first time builder and I have my tangs facing the intake I also didn’t know that I had to measure the bearing I thought it was just a plug and play deal
Interesting, I can’t wait to see it when it’s done. I have a Honda 2004 CRV stock 2.4 and I don’t know why, but whenever you get up behind the RPMs, you can hear a whistling kind of a noise. Anyway, have a great day. 😊
We want you to swap the single cam in the new civic with the bad head gasket set it all up nice tune it then make your money back and some so then you can save your money and use the money you make on the flip to keep building what do you think about that? Hunter
When are you going to make a build D series with a friend? I can remember you were going to make like a well-built D series with a twin-disk clutch and much more. And you were comparing top-mount manifolds in a video. Was kind of excited for that video.
Ive rebuilt a few honda blocks and they always end up better when i dont touch the hpne thats in it already and just clean it real well.good luck with that engine when it smokes like a pig
My b18c5 full build was around 10k I have supertech valves still running strong. I won’t spend 10k on a all motor build again lol if it ever blows up I’m going K
Just swap the pistons and buy a turbo and" the parts you need. Way cheaper than going k and you'll make about the same power. In all reality the only thing b doesn't have that k does is the cam phaser. Everything else can be replicated like coil on plug and drive by wire. Not to mention alot of people lock their cam phaser and thus make it almost identical to a b series. The k series stock head flows better, but 1500$ get you a ported 4piston b16/b18 head thatll outflow it.
Being in the game as long as u have you kno dam well everytime we say ah its a slapped together repair rebuild always end up being the most solid engines that take a hell of a visit from the diddler and never let us down shit most my years building my builds i was the guy gapping the top end big money engine builds people paid to have built engines alone worth more then my whole dam car but ay id take there money all the time shit remember when starting out running too junk yard that morning grabbing a bseries filling the blocks and upgrade what had too be done and make it out that night with the car set on kill way over limits and didnt ever have that worry well if i push too much its gonna blow and im gonna be in debt and need more loans ext 🤷♂️
Awesome video! Nice pickup/find! You should start doing giveaways of some of these extra parts to a comment randomizer on these videos. It'll help with comment totals and views, which will help with youtube income. Plus, a lot of gear heads will subscribe and continue to watch! Thank you for the verse! One will always find God reaches out to them in the most unlikely of places, but when he does, it's always needed!
7:34 From what I'm seeing, that block looks to be trash to me. There's a LOT of missing material around the sealing surface on the top of each cylinder bore. You can deck a few thousandths off the sealing surface on most engines and be ok. In your case some of that pitting on the sealing surface is 30-40 thou deep. In other words, too deep to do anything about. I would NOT proceed one minute more WITHOUT taking that block to the machine shop for verification. I've machined motors and anything else imaginable for 20 years for what it's worth. Just trying to protect you, that's all...
And really man the bearings .wow you can put standard new bearings .i wouldnt skimp on 40$ set of bearings. And the rings make sure you check the gaps they should be fine if it was stamdard block not oversized.lmfao really skimp on the bearings and you took a ball hone to it. .its going to smoke.like a pig
You’re not bothered by that deviation on the #1 cylinder??? Running my fingernail on it wouldn’t give me confidence. If you start loosing compression on that cylinder, you’ll know why
Lmao dude do not use the bearings. And dont go with cp pistons. The aftermarket are junk and shrink quick from the heat build up of the high reving engine. Use the crank if its balanced .get new oem rods and oem ctr pistons and standard size connecting rod bearings And use the origional main bearings .you wont be disapointed. Sell that aftermarket crap

If you going to fit the lsvtec into a vehicle please do video on how you tune it or how you go about mapping it. PLEASE 🙏
I second this include adjusting the timing with adjustable cam gears!!!
8:56 "Im just throwing this thing back together, and I'll BET you it will be fine..." - Famous last words 😂
I wouldn't expect anything less! I love it. Just like the average guy..
Welcome back buddy! Cant wait for more D16 content!
Hell yeah that's an awesome deal, thanks for the advice on sealing my coolant fitting with RTV 🙏 it worked 100%
Those nippon p30are the right ones.
Your going to have to have the rods milled to fit unless you get the oem rods pressed in.

Pull the pistons and make sure the ring lands are not cracked from over reving
And put new rings and bearings on it no matter what
I would’ve just bought one replacement CP piston.
Fascinating, as always! Thanks for your videos.
Yes please, record all the details about the build.
The tune either!

Hunter boizzzzzz , love the video bro keep up the content on it assembly and dyno
Finish the project man.
Def more engine build contact in future

I am building a Les vetc now. I am sooo glad you made this video!, k might be the way but B is fo me! Lmaooo😂
Amen brother.
Welcome to the lsv back on roots ❤ I believe those rods are the same I got cs racing. Hell yeah good goodies parts
I almost missed this video. So good
It’s so good!😊
I want more!
Honda blocks like just slapping in new rings without touching the hone just clean it real good. Your gonna have a smoking motor foresure.

Another great video
Hell yeah brother!
Do have a D16Y8 VTEC harness available needing one
A couple hundred bucks!
Do a nitrous build
Dude dropped a valve in an all-motor build?! Oof...
I have a 4 piston outlaw b16 head fs

@ I do time attack I don’t drag race anymore. K would be the reliable cheaper option. Speaking of boost ill be supercharging my S2k soon
181st from the UK.
Hopefully, we can see VTEC at 10 L O L.

How u feel about supertech 84mm 11.5.1 pistons?
They look like bc rods as well

This is why you buy Ferrea valves
Skunk 2 valves no no
Ferrea Valves or stock
slave down the rod sides because that happen to me before when my local machice shop biuld one of my motor

Love the Bible verse minute you have started inserting in videos. God is the ONLY way. With that new engine would like to see you Boost it Hunter.
You shoukd not.have honed the block man..
Thats a big mistake
Jello Hello Mellow
