Now we have clowns the likes of Morgan Wallen, Lil Baby, Jelly Roll, Da Baby, Cardi B, Future, Post Malone, Lil Yachty, lil Pump, 6ix9ine, Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat and SZA. Fools covered in tattoos…
@@DIMP11 Almost none of them rings a bell with me. Is that good or bad? Anyway, I'm pushing 60 and still love these songs from the 1980's, especially this one. When I turn on the radio, all I hear is garbage noise, produced by garbage "musicians", the names of which I don't even try to remember. So, I stick to names I do remember.
This is their song that I remembered best from the 1980s. It's what makes me love their music, even after so many years now. People grow old, but the soul remains young, if permitted.
I saw them in Oxford a couple of days ago. Mark's playing is - if anything - even better now. His vocals are a bit ropey at times on long notes but they were amazing.
Has anyone els😊e ever noticed that they all had & STILL have the most happy genuine smiles of any musicians out there? Thats one of the reasons i go back to these old vids. Having a bad day? Watch sum Level 42 . I wish they'd come to Canada 🇨🇦
One of their best songs ever. Mark and Mike trading lead vocal was very effective. And I'm always a fan of Alan Murphy guitar (Go West, Total Contrast) He unleashed all power that he have in this album. (In this music video, You can sensed that He acting and playing like he know it's his last years, Because after this album, He passed away)
It's a Level 42 guitarist song. Boon Gould wrote the chorus melody, Alan Murphy played its famous solo. (And - as far as I know - either Dominic Miller played the verse rhythm guitar line, or Mark King played it up during the mixing)
Have You heard Mark's 84 Solo Album Mate? Side 1 called The Essential is one long instrumental with Him pretty much playing all instruments other than the horns. He's an incredible talent.
The intro makes me wanna stick my chest out & when the rest kicks in I just wanna run all over the place like those free running guys, leaping from building to building like I'm being chased. THIS IS EPIC 🏃🏃🏃Thataway ➡↗🏚➡🏢↘🌊🤦♂🚣🏊♀
There was a time when it was normal to have immensely talented musicians such as Level 42 in the charts. Unthinkable these days.

I do not know anyone of them....😅
It's called "minimalist approach" these days. More 👍 (likes) the better! 😏😏😏
It was a regular thing. What a great time it was. Every album had lots of hits on it. Never happening again.
2024 anyone? This song still gives me soooo much energy. Banger!
Yes Sir!

Lying Still
True perfection. There’s a song which is the perfect blend of rock and funk. One of the very best tracks of the 80s. Level 42 at their absolute peak.
i agree 110 % :)))

one of my favourite Level 42 songs!
I often wonder what would have happened to level 42 if Alan Murphy hadn't passed, this was a good line up .
Likewise if Boon Gould was still in the line up.
Once I got into their back-catalogue I realized exactly how underrated they were. I know they still play live with most of the original members.
Another one of their top 10 hits in The Netherlands. What a track! #4 1988
Brings back memories of the Edinburgh playhouse & wow Alan Murphy on geeetar ❤️
Level 42 SMASHING IT !!!!!!! [ R.I.P. Boon Gould and Alan Murphy ]

@@MegaForged That isn't up to me. If the copyright owners claim it, they can either monetize it or have it taken down. I have no rights here.

The bad guy from Ghostbusters 2 can play bass like a demon
What the blazes happened to music!?
It never went away..and won't ever Go Away!! Killing Time is a Sin..there's no Way they can win...as the song says😂❤
UMMM? is that UB40?
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always been a big fan but this video clip is pretty lame and clueless compared to the lyrics.
Mistrzowska kompozycja i wykonanie ultra, ale teledysk kompletnie do dupy, nieprzemyślany, bez sensu.
Translation: music is masterpiece, but video is shit and no sense.
