    This sounds fantastic!!
    I had a 1980 550 LTD from 1985-1991. Loved that bike. ♥️

I am having troubles finding out where to route carburetor tubes, do you think you could post a video of where your fuel line and vacuum lead?

Could you shed some light on how to install light kits, and speedometers,? I'm new to motorcycles and I just came across an 84 kz550 bobber project that didn't have anything on the handlebars but the throttle, and clutch.. have any ideas?

Also wondering about the seat , where did you get it did it need modifications to mount it.

See comments below about the seat, thanks. Search "goodmotorparts" on ebay for the seat. It wasn't that expensive, but don't hold your breath waiting for it to arrive from overseas.

I don't remember exactly what I did with the seat, but I think I added some bolts in the middle of the pan to hold it down better.

@@r07d24 did you cut the frame at all?

@@liamlyda2116 Hi, that was quite awhile ago, but I do remember cutting the rear section off and shortening it. I reused the rear loop section, just shortened it to match the seat.

Where did you get your seat?

I don’t remember- just search universal brat style seat. I had to mark some slight mods to make it work.

Nice bike. Could I ask which seat you used and how you fit it on? This is the exact look im going for on my LTD. Thanks

The seat was purchased off eBay. It is a universal flat brat seat and wasn't that expensive, but took forever to ship from overseas! The new seat had some mounting bolts already on it, so I took the original seat support cross member that was cut off during the rear frame chop, and re-welded back on the frame to support the new seat. Seat is held down with bolts and wing nuts.

I think there might have been a small baffle in there just for a little back pressure...

TJR- that was a long time ago, but basically stripped everything down to frame, pulled motor which made it easier to clean and service- carb work, shims for valve clearance, etc.. replaced all fluids, brakes, new tires, handlebars, etc etc etc... I cut the rear hoop off seat support and shortened that piece to weld back on to fit the new seat. There is a lot I’m probably forgetting, but with all the new stuff I added , I’m guessing I put approx. $600 or so into it. Basically broke even on the sale, but it was a fun project.
