    So true. Because even if our problems are solved, more will come. If we identify with ego. Eg if we are unhappy our hair is long and then happy when we cut it. It will grow again and we will be unhappy again. The world and the body are ever changing .only the self within is unchanging.

    One is the spectator and the other is the screen.

    We have to practice to be the screen.

    The body has the trauma, step back into pure awareness and watch the trauma evaporate!

      Since we can only truly "step" into pure awareness with the death of mind (manonasa), trauma does not evaporate that easily as you imply. In the mean time trauma may weaken but it will continue to seemingly exist and that could be for years or longer despite atma-vichara.
      That doesn't mean atma-vichara is not the best solution, however it would be naive to believe that it could be an instant or quick fix! That is certainly not the case.

      Atma vichara is the only solution supported by the devotion towards Bhagavan outwardly.
      But it is the weakness of the mind due to its predispositions to do the practice continually
      But Bhagavan has said if one persistently practice, the practice itself will gain strength
      Just because it is by His grace only, one attempts to do the practice.

    4:10 = mental and physical therapies (or medicines) may be appropriate;the disease comes according to prarabdha and medicine also;5:14 = the solution B. has given us is cutting up... = we have to witness the witness,observe the observer,attend to the one who is attending;to the extent to which we "do" so,we will thereby subside and separate ourself from this person and its trauma(s);that is the most effective treatment for the trauma(s),subsiding within;(last paragraph of Nan Yar ?)(6:43);Bhakti;

    Some wonderful advice there 🙏..........Many years ago after a particularly traumatic time I complained to my spiritual mentor that despite my spiritual practise i was suffering in the world in so many ways . He said to me ' your life in the world is to help you with your spiritual practise , not the other way around ' . This disabused me of my previously transactional relationship with ' God ' - the udea that if you are goid boy or girl then you will be rewarded in this world . Reflecting on trauma will reinforce our real experience that ' life in the world is full of suffering ' . This awareness makes us less likely to toeards the eorld for our ultimate happiness .🙏🕉️

      "Reflecting on trauma" is certainly ill-advised and the opposite of atma-vichara. The last thing we want to do is to dwell on a traumatic event.
      Why did you not correct your typos? Now that would be a reflection that would be actually useful. But that would take some humility we all are in short supply.

    Trauma is a state that affects the body. The body takes medicine.
    If you is not the body who is the one taking the medicine.
    Trauma happens here in this reality only.
    This reality only happens in the mind of the I thought.
    You is the I am thought. If you don’t exist nothing exists. cx

      @@bernhard1071 who I am in your world? The world where one can come and go in and out of consciousness. Your world only exists in your mind. You imagine possible situation and probable outcomes. And somehow you always know what’s right and real proper.
      This world in which you live is a wonderfully constructed elaborate thought. That’s all this is, the illusion of reality itself. This is your brilliance. All this you imagine is Judge your knowledge of bhagavan now for yourself one thought within the only being. The only being still pure formless existence.
      Am I the self? If not how can I exist? Nothing other than self exist. In a moment you will wake up from the illusion of ego and realise you are Bhagavan. You are all that is. Just not in your current incarnation. This is the illusion of the imaginary I thought.
      Who is You, that now in this moment right here and right now thinking. Is it the self? If you right here, right now in this moment is not the oneself. You who thinks, I am, it is you that is not that one reality, that’s the only reality.
      You must be the lying demon ego. If you are the thinking, the rise of ego is already happened for the i you take yourself to be in this moment right here and right now. Only oneself doesn’t think doesn’t move is still. You my friend were born into maya. Trapped in the illusive mind of the host of the belief in birth, death and reincarnation. Amongst other imaginary thing in the periphery of the minds eye.
