ADOPT MILLIE

My past life is a bit of a blur. About a year ago I was found as stray with 2 other dogs before landing in a Texas Rescue. I then found my way to a family in Wisconsin but sadly that didn’t work out for me. After another road trip with my friends at Project Freedom Ride, I found myself in a new place with a kind but unfamiliar woman, my new foster mom. It was a little scary at first, but she had the gentlest touch, tastiest treats, allowed me time to get my bearings and introduced me to my new best friend Nicki.
I am proving every day just how wonderful I am. I mastered the art of going potting outside (no accidents after day one!), have learned to patiently wait in my crate (it's like my cozy personal fort!), and I even walk on a leash like (though sometimes those squirrels are just SO tempting to chase!).
Here's the thing about me: I love people. Like, really love them. Snuggles on the couch? Belly rubs? Showering you with wet kisses? Sign me up! I also get along swimmingly with other dogs, big or small! But here's a secret - I have a little cattle dog in my soul. I love to "herd" my friends (especially the bouncy Jack Russell here!), and my play is pretty enthusiastic.
Sadly, the little humans in my last home were too overwhelming for me. It brought out a lot of anxiety and I became very mouthy. Kids can be a whirlwind, you know? That's why I'm looking for a grown-up friend (or maybe a spoken-for human with grown-up friends!). Someone who appreciates my playful spirit and boundless affection. Someone who wants a furry shadow to share adventures with, be it walks in the park or lazy evenings curled up on the couch.

Millie’s adoption fee is $600 which includes her spay (already done), current vaccinations (rabies, 2 parvo/distemper boosters, and Bordetella), negative heartworm test, negative fecal, health certificate, registered microchip, and transport costs. As a Project Freedom Ride direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet would take place on a video call (FB Messenger Call, Facetime, Zoom, Etc).
The adoption application and fee would be finalized & paid in full prior to receiving your dog. Drop off locations through our transport program are as follows:
