I want to thank my mother for teaching me to love learning. We always had books in our home and she allowed me to take lessons in a variety of interests. The love of learning she fostered in me took me to different countries, got me through a Graduate Business program, gave me a professional career and enabled me to reinvent myself several times throughout the course of life. Education gave me choices and for this I honor my mother and her influence in my life.

I have a huge problem with how much of our cultures definition of education is schooling, academic excellence, and career advancement through schooling. So they learn only when in school and stop studying and learning when out of school. Education and learning is eternal until we reach perfection.

Americans continue to learn when they leave school, one of the great things they will learn is that it's ok to continue to learn throughout our lives.
