It's important how you handle yourself when others can see you.
It's more important how you handle yourself when no one is looking.
Emotional availability is different from having empathy. Being too available is NOT attractive, but having empathy is. This video mentions the two interchangeably, and they're not the same.

I never pretend to like someone if I don’t feel that way. I would never be rude but also will not be fake. Not everyone likes or is liked by everyone.

@@John-rz6pr The way I have encountered it, it's usually when a person wants to use positivity as a cure all or blanket for everything. It doesn't acknowledge the inevitable pitfalls, shortcomings, etc of a situation. Many times people just want others to listen and a cheerleader hoorah may at times not be appropriate in certain situations. All those "good vibes" only people put a sort of pressure on others who have it a bit extra hard in life. It's almost like hiding a lack of empathy.
Don't get me wrong. Positivity is very important and when genuine it instills hope.

culture has a lot to do with attractiveness, .So many of the ten points to me to me are a western eye view for what makes you attractive. its not global. for example In the west the bad boy, image might appeal to many especially young people, but in Africa the good boy is more popular. as for men the woman who has a lot to say, are less sort after. but I enjoy all your topics. very refreshing.

Question: Being an upbeat person most of my life and having a personality that gets along with most people, running into personal health problems (cancer) & losing loved ones, can kind of take your personal confidence away and you can become a bit withdrawn. Then people start wondering what has happened to you. It is not easy getting back to your "old" self.........

Quite simple in truth; I only get attention when chatting ONLINE... and only BEFORE showing my face.
I have all of these traits, but I think my problem seems to be, I'm TOO attractive, and other people think they can't or don't measure up to my level of personal standards, so, they shy away. I can easily make friends on a neighborly basis, but nobody ever wants to be like close and really one-on-one friends with me. Say like drive 1200 miles to come see me in Texas, I might do for them in Ohio, but them for me, never. I'm never a close special friend for anybody. Been this way all my life and I've never known why. I swear there's nothing anti social about me
