*1) Take out the spare tire.* *2) Replace the tailgate with a fabric alternative.* *3) Remove coins, floor mats, tools, and/or other junk not being used.* *4) Replace the hood with a lighter alternative.* *5) Get under there, and knock off all of that excessive rust rotting away the frame/body.* *6) Replace steel wheels to lighter alternative.* *7) Grind a groove just behind the butterfly valve, for fuel/air atomization increase.* You will see some serious gains in MPG if you do all 7 of these, but the biggest single gain will come from #7 if you get the depth & position of the groove _just_ right.
Very helpful, I’ve changed both knock sensors, and afterwards driving the code’s & check engine light came back on… only the sensor 2’, so I’m gonna bypass it into the good one… Hope it works🤞
As a long time Mechanic , after doing what he is doing ,will only bring you back to the original mileage specs that you would have got when the engine was new .Not a 20% gain more from original EPA spec gas mileage ratings . But it don't hurt to top end clean your engine over time .But beware you can create issues with you engine if not done right.
@@SoaringMech Some people dump to much liquid and that hurt bottom end bearings , or they over rev the crap out of the engine to remove carbon after so call ed top end cleaning . More is better you know . Not really . If you really suspect you engine is heavily carboned up ( constant pinging ) Knock sensor codes . EASY fix is remove plugs , fill up all cylinders with a good brand of TOP engine clean and let sit over night . Then run engine at 2-4 rpm. this should blow up any residual carbon . Or just add little top engine cleaner to the gas tank on every other fill up .Takes longer but that works too .

What are you talking about, remove the spare tire?
@@sebestiensoliz8831
Spare tires are dead weight. Removing dead weight increases MPG. *I am talking about increasing efficiency.* #VideoTitle
I did this and the crud that came out the tale pipe 😂 it looked like a old school diesel. It started running much better and more mileage.

what brand sensors did you buy?
Thanks for the video. To be a little more accurate, would be best to average the mpg over a few tanks of gas before and after the cleaning
I always use fresh water
I should try, but i would change out oil soon after that cause that seems like it could break down the oil.
Nice!!

Thanks for adding your knowledge. If u have a chance, please explain how not to do it to avoid any problems.

how about 1 gallon of LAQUER THINNER to (1/2 tank) or 1:5 ratio. Cleans out cat, etc. Game changer!
What’s that I’m going to try it
It won’t damage the vehicle??
Silly question: How did you modify the nozzle straw?
It’s very flexible and u can slide the black collar up and down it.
next is cataclean
Will this work on a TBI 1988 c/k1500 5.0 Happy New Year
I think so
on tbi get a can pull the brake booster hose n let her eat bud
driven hard, put away wet? ha
