So impressed on how your paintings developed over time from what was effectively "nothing" to what became a family scene in one and a group of people watching an event or something similar in the other one. Fascinating to watch and I learned so much. But I sure have to do a lot more practice. Thank you for sharing.
My third time here, loving your teaching method, your authenticity, your passion and your willingness to share. Just signed uo for the course, can't wait to start. Great work Joy! Thank you
The painting with 4 people... I felt a mom, dad, and child. And then maybe a grandmother watching the parents teach the child. Shes watching with love, appreciation of their parenting, and just being there in silent support.
Thank you so much Joy. I’ve swatched all 12 now! I’ve learned a lot and especially found the playtime inspiring. Wishing you well from springtime NZ. 🎨🎨🐝🎨🎨
I love both of the paintings and I really enjoyed the process. I do love the soft colours you use. The only thing for me is that the lady in orange looks naked now this could be a whole other story ! Xx
Terrific video Joy and you really are hitting the nail on the head when you say how learning to let go and express feelings from within is as important as the painting techniques. I´d say maybe even more so at times. I´m on the list for the free taster course now, thank you !
13.51 bottom right, back of a child with full on ponytail. 31.25 bottom right again, figure emerging then fading somewhat. BTW the paintings were flipped at the end, the fading figure almost gone but ponytail girl remained. Just my observations. Loved this session, certainly will begin this process I'm keen to see who turns up!.
@@JoyFaheyArtistit’s because you filmed using different methods with your phone I presume. The front facing camera shows the images differently to the selfie camera
Hold on a minute! Why are the figures now on the opposite side? The orange figure looking away was on the left side of your canvas, now it's on the right side?#! It's like looking at it's reflection in a mirror, what happened?
Photo on right: WAS a man with mouth wide open, looking up as if spying a surveillance camera or some other surprise. Maybe he saw that spider. Quite a process.
I really like both of these, but best is the one with the family. Is the woman watching the family supposed to be nude? The colors of these are beautifully muted, with a misty or foggy feel. Thanks
@@JoyFaheyArtist It doesn't bother me; I'm glad you changed it to a woman. she' seem to be watching from a distance and contemplating the family group.

Absolutely! 😄🖌️🎨👍
Woops, I meant that orange figure was the "RIGHT" side, now it's on the left!
I think my camera was playing up! 😄🎨🖌️
Loved watching your process but don't understand how the paintings are reversed in the final appraisal?
Many thanks I'm happy you enjoyed the process. There's no particular reason to answer your question 😊🎨🖌️
It’s due to how it’s filmed: using the selfie camera & / or front facing camera on the phone.

@wastenotwantnotArt thank you so much for explaining. I found it very irritating that the image was reversed.

Many thanks, I think she is and quite symbolic. I'll have to think about that some more!! 🤔🖌️😃

Did you notice you were photo bombed by a spider, such cheek! 😆
Yes I did when I was editing, couldn't figure out what it was to start with!! 🕸️😄
