    It may seem strange because the country is named after an Arab sheikh, and the name is Arab, despite the country being predominantly Christian. Great video 👍🏻

      It's predominantly Christian in the South, but in the North where the Arabs got to first there is a large Muslim community

      I believe it is because they were colonized by the Portuguese for a time? Not sure though. Great video by the way!

      Sure, the country has an Arabic name which is unAfrican. Perhaps should have been named Zambezia. I wish a change of name for that country

    eastern dialect of Zimbabwe referred to this land between Great Zimbabwe and the sea/ indian ocean as MAZAMBUKO meaning (lightly interepreted) The crossing or the gateway. hence why eastern side of zimbabwe speak same language as mozambique other than the Portuguese. Shisena and Manyika or Chimanyika are more or less same dialects including Chundau. Africa was a beautiful canvass before them ones who liked shitting over everthing came through. would have been nice having access to a beach in Mozambique and go to a safari in Zambia. all that being once country but one day i hope my african brothers will realise the lines drawn on maps are a colonial tool , not ours to adopt

    Mozambique is in Africa and I know less about the country being that I'm African and all
    Seem to have learnt more outside of education then when in education
    Well it a country I'll love to visit

      Some are, some are not. You cannot use foreign words or proper nouns in scrabble unless at the beginning everyone agrees that you can use foreign words and names. But as with many other categories, some country names just happen to be words🙂

    Early Mussa Mbik

  • @titoscau5350
    @titoscau5350 3 วันที่ผ่านมา

    You are wrong. Completely wrong. Mozambique name comes from the God Amen. Mussa Al Bique or Mussa Bin Bique never existed. The europeans (portuguese) created this fake story of mussa bin bique in order to diconnect mozambicans from their true identity. Mozambique is a name that has been in existence for tens of thousands of years. Other countries or regions that derive their names from Amen include: Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, also mozambican provinces Inhambane and Zambezia and oficiurse the Zambeze river.
    In African Ancestral Religion Amen is the Supreme Father. When He unites with his Wife Amenet They form de Supreme God. Amen has got variations of His name throuout Africa including Nzambi, Nyambe, Nhambe, Nsimba, Zimba, etc. The africans native to India call Him Ambica.
