    *Dave ! I just ordered my Blade 2 Today ! I can't wait to receive it ! 🙏😇You touched on something which has been a major concern of mine from when I first began looking at purchasing a Blade 2 back about 1 year ago - THEFT ! 😩 I'm also concerned about the motor overheating on hills, as I am a big guy (300 LBS !). I purchased this beast as a local transportation alternative to use in town. I have little interest in taking my Blade 2 off roading on trails. I am also concerned about the rear motor rotating within the rear frame mounts and destroying itself ! 😲*

    Awesome video! One of the best review videos I've ever seen. I have the 500 watt Rize Blade (2020 model) and love it. These bikes are absolutely amazing. I saw your range test video and that's some incredible distance you got on that single charge with the dual batteries. Unfortunately, the 2020 models don't support dual batteries but the 17Ah battery I have works good. I'm still able to get 50-70 km distance if I'm in PAS 5-6. In hindsight, I wish I had spent the extra money and got the 20Ah battery but honestly, I have no complaints. This bike is the best I've ever owned and I can always upgrade to a bigger battery later if I want. Overall, Rize Bikes are awesome and it's exciting to see others enjoying their bikes as much as I enjoy mine.

    Thanks a lot Dave for this awesome review! Anyone else when jumping a small bump like a side walk, a fell tree , stairs etc the motor cuts off for like a second. Comes right back on. I changed my motor at least 3 times ( because of false torque arms) and all 3 motors does this. Now I'm thinking It must be something else causing this.

    Nice review. I found putting beefier rotors and using semi metallic pads increased stopping power by quite a bit.

  • @500wattz
    @500wattz ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Btw, here's a little trick to get a wee bit more speed out of the blade 2. Hold throttle for at least 5 seconds until it activates cruise control. Once cruise control is activated at full power, pedal on the highest gear, add your leg power. I find doing this I can maintain 51-52km/h with dual batteries and I weigh 250lbs.

    Have you ever opened up your motors for the Blade OG and the Blade 2 and confirmed they are 1000 watts? Some people have noted their motors ssy 750 watts (engraved on the motor) despite buying the 1000 watt versions.

    ok misconception series connected batteries double the power which I don't think you can go over 52volts on your bike so you can't connect them in series it's always parallel

    • @megadavesworld4238
      @megadavesworld4238  ปีที่แล้ว

      You are right. Electrically they are hooked up in parallel. But when I say series, I mean just run one after the other one instead of draining them at the same time. But actually, I guess the bike is always just draining from one battery at a time and it just “bounces” back and forth between the two batteries and keeps them roughly equal during the drain, which I guess still makes it a series circuit. Hmmm 🤔

    • @joerenaud9356
      @joerenaud9356 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I found a big performance pick up when I mounted the second battery. From what I know if the battery management system I think the performance gain is because you are always on a "fresh" battery since the system switches between them to level consumption. I would like a more real-world battery consumption meter though. The only reliable meter I have found is the odometer.

    • @megadavesworld4238
      @megadavesworld4238  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@joerenaud9356 the odometer is the best meter for sure.

    • @121moi
      @121moi ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's always parallel. What this means is that you end up with the equivalent of one 52v 30ah battery. The "battery blender" will discharge the battery with the most voltage remaining until they are equal (if they are not from the start), then take power from the 2 battery. You experience more power because they're is less voltage sag since the power is taken from the 2 battery's at the same time. If you were to go and properly make them in series, you would get the equivalent of a 104v 15ah battery, instantly frying the controller

    • @megadavesworld4238
      @megadavesworld4238  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes. I have the Blade 2 which only comes in 52 volt 1000 watts and has full suspension.
      Blade 48v 500w $1799 Max speed 40Kph
      Blade 52v 1000w $2199 Max speed 48 Kph
      Blade 2 (full suspension) $2999 max 48kph
      All on sale as of this writing.
      So it’s only a $400 difference if you don’t need the full suspension, and $400 bucks is well worth it for the extra speed and torque!
      I hope this helps.

      The Blade 2 is excellent at off roading, so why is it the wrong bike? Mid-drives in the same price point have a lot of issues themselves, mainly they’re clunky, they’re very hard on the gears, and if you damage the chain, gears,or derailleur, you can’t ride them at all. I’ll agree that mid-drives are better for climbing, though. I don’t know why you think it’s the ‘wrong bike’, it’s fantastic at mountain biking. Just different.
