Glad to hear you dig the rides. I'm looking forward to making another one the next time the weather clears up. Anything above 40 degrees would even be nice. Stay tuned for the next cruise and thanks for the feedback!
Thanks a lot! Last week it was almost 50 outside so I had to sneak a ride in. It felt so good to be cruising again. Hopefully we'll get another random warm day. Thanks again for checking out the videos!
Hey, good to see you back on the road and, Happy New Year to you and all your subscribers🥳. This might sound like a silly question but what do you mean by rolling resistance?
Howdy DMC, not a silly question at all. If a tire has an aggressive tread like an off road tire. Not only is it louder on smooth surfaces but it takes more power to spin the wheel which could affect battery life. A smoother tire is quieter and has less rolling resistance which allows the tire to spin easier not affecting battery life as much. Hope that makes sense.
All tires, depending on their tread, have what could be called rolling resistance. Street tires usually have less grippy tread and tend to be a little smoother, so they usually have less resistance than a tire that has more aggressive treading. Another way to think of it is the difference between a billiards ball and a tennis ball. For rolling purposes they'll both roll just fine, but the billiards ball will have less friction and less resistance for starting to roll and will roll farther. Obviously the ball analogy kinda ends there, but i hope that helps a little. Typically more aggressive, off-road style tires and lower psi in the tires will just naturally be a bit less efficient on flat surfaces like paved roads. But they're definitely great for trails and more non-paved surfaces.
@MordorsRefrigerator thanks a bunch for the detailed explanation. The billiard ball analogy made it easy to understand. These tires hit that sweet spot for me. The grip to rolling resistance ratio is spot on. I hope they hold up for the long term. It'll be fun testing them out. Thanks again for the feedback.
Got a silly question, the Duro Tires compared to the Vee Speedsters,... When both mounted, are they the exact same height?... Or is one taller than the other?... And by how much taller?... Thank You
Not a silly question at all. Sorry, but I don't have a vee speedster tires anymore to check the height. From what I remember though, I am 85% sure the Vee is higher than the Duros. The vee was squishier and more balloon like. Very low tire pressure too, which I didn't like. I feel like the higher tire pressure is needed for the HS2 specifically since it is so heavy. Choice is good though. The Duro tire is more similar in height compared to the HS2 stock tire. The Duro might be just a smidge taller. Thanks for the question!
What up K!? I'm about to swap out my Veetireco speedster tires too. Overall they're just ok but as a performance tire 👎. I'd try your suggestion of EBP tires but they don't have my size (26). I'm going with Origin8 Clinchers. So when you want to team up for a ride? I'm the dude in Lancaster. I'm pretty much a solo rider but it would be fun to get some more enthusiasts together for a good ride. ✌️
Hey, Brother! Those EBP tires are awesome but thankfully there are lots of options on the market to choose from. Never heard of those Clinchers. I will have to give them a Google search for reference. As for a ride meet up I still don't have a way to transport my bike. Maybe a Scranton collaboration sometime if you have a way of hauling your bike around. Peace, man and safe cruising!
I've never done a full brake bleed.i burp my brakes when they start getting sloppy. its difficult to explain typing but a lot easier than bleeding. there's quite a few videos on youtube showing how to burp brakes.
Yeah, I feel as though my back brakes don't release as quickly as they should sometimes. Like they slowly creep back open every once in a while. After 5000 miles I'm sure my lines could use a little tune-up. Thanks for the tip! I will definitely look into that technique.
Definitely a good idea. That info could certainly help. Just to mention it here. The bike has an unnoticeable difference in either speed, range, or acceleration from the original tires. It is a more versatile tire and overall grippier in most conditions. The best of both worlds for type of terrain I like to ride.
I forget how much i enjoy these vids until i don't get them for a while 👍🏼

It's nice seeing your videos again! It's still super cold in my area so I still have another hiatus before I can take my e bike out to cruise.

Appreciate for the review mate, HAPPY MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR to you 🎄🎄🎆🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉✌✌
Thanks a lot for checking out the video! The warm weather will be here soon. Keep an eye out for more adventures! Safe riding!

@@keepingitkresky4412 Thanks for the explanation
Anytime DMC. I'm always up for e-bike talk.

Hi from nyc I love my hyperscrambler 2
This bike is hard not to love!! Me too!!
Info on how speed, range, and acceleration would have been useful. That's what people want to hear about when hearing a tire review

Hey what's up? Not sure when you will see this message but I have a question for you if you have some time.
Sure thing. Ask away man 👍
I need these in 24x :(
I liked those tires while I had them. Super sticky all around plus they felt good on wet ground.
