Awesome video guys! Alex from BCP has been my tuner for the last 5 years. Him and his crew do some amazing stuff!! The first time i got to expierence one of the BCP turbos I was shocked with what it was capable of. I enjoy watching you guys push these bad boy's to the limits.
@ I have the BCP X500 Turbo 8cm hotside. My build was 404whp 374wtrq. But consult your tuner before. Heck, call BCP and they will be more than welcome to help with a build. Engine is a tuff2 IAG and I have a fair amount of mods. Again, talk to BCP on stock engine builds and power. I’m no one to really ask. Good luck!!!
How does the X500+ compare to the X500R in terms of torque? I think what makes the STI's fun is the torque and that's what I would like to retain as I know some of the more powerful turbos don't have that torque-y feel to them. Are there any draw backs of the R model over the + model?
That turbo is nuts!!! It reminds me of some turbos we have here in Canada made by Turbo Parts Canada (TPC for short), I have a GT spec turbo from them and it is basally the same thing as that turbo just with a 3" inlet instead of a 2.4". Not sure about the turbo wheel sizing comparison but I'd love to see how the TPC turbos hold up compared to the BCP since they are almost identical on the outside!
Stock 8.2:1 compression? Josh you should check out the xona Ball Bearing 6157S. I may move from the FP Green HTZ to this. Would like to compare the FP Green, BCP X500R, and xona 6157S.
Curious how much this woulda made with built heads and some 1700 or 2000cc injectors maybe even a upgraded intake manifold tap the turbo out at that point i think would like to see the limits tho
Hey Bader, do you think this thing can make pretty good power on a stock block with supporting mods and no e85? Could it make at least 400 wheel horsepower and torque if you have FMIC, ETS Max flow equal length headers, 1050cc injectors, and downpipe with a solid tune? Or would it be more ideal to just go flex fuel at this point for more power and less chance of detonation? Haha, thank you.
@@kujinsan26 It''ll make major power. Only thing I'd recommend is Cooper Ring head gaskets with the INOX steel ring. That's what I'm using now with 1/2" head studs from outfront motorsports.
@@RicondaRacing yeah I make sure to purchase supporting mods such as a toyo radiator cooling mod. IAG oil pick up kit. Just waiting on the ETA FMIC and process west intake manifold
Awesome footage, very informative, that turbo is very impressive , exactly what you said a 2.4 inlet, might be on my bucket list, thanks Bader love the way you push them to the limits.
As silly as this is bout to sound, have you guys messed around with the single cam heads? is there any hidden potential like the honda D-series for "cheap" power or do you think they just wont flow enough air to make any reasonable power.
I'm curious what your thoughts are comparing this turbo to a Blouch dom 5xtr if you've tuned one, considering it's in the same ball park as this and the FP Black.
Front o2 is a narrow band sensor, it can control light load situations but just maxes out at 11.03 during a pull even if that’s not always the correct AFR. A true wideband is needed and should always be used for tuning
@@BaderBuiltRacing Okay thanks for the knowledge. Is it uncommon when building these cars to install and leave a WB? When I had my evo X, prior to my tune the shop had me install a WB, and leave it installed forever.
@@BaderBuiltRacing a Tuner in AZ says he doesn’t trust the AEM Wideband gauges or sensors and trust more on the OEM front o2 on the the Cobb Accesstuner becuase more accurate 🙄🤦🏻♂️😂😂🥴🥴🥴🥴 I say he is drunk
@@ivanperformance100 He is. The accuracy of the sensor goes down with boost. The pre-turbo pressure is too high for it to be accurate. You always want a post-turbo gauge... Less heat, less backpressure. Any serious tuner always uses an external wideband, so I wouldn't use any tuner that told me that
Ichibanengineering needs to quit fuckin around and send out that new large stock frame they coming out with. You would be the person to push it to the limit.

Damn dude. On a 2.4 inlet.. might have to pick one up in the future to blow up the legacy with 🤣🤣
That’s good power for a stock location with 2.4” inlet. Keep the awesome content coming!
You guys need more videos like this one
That is a breath taking engine bay on that sexy hatch, cant wait to see more of that...damn brandon
That car looks like it’s moving out fast in that last clip at the end of the video😳😳😳🚀🚀🚀👍🏼
Looking very impressive 👏. BCP came with that 🔥 X500R. Giving me some experience ideas....
Love my conservative build with an BCP x500. This is a great turbo and cool to see them get some exposure with the x500r
Hey can you tell me how much whp and torque you run on a conservative tune? Are you stock engine ? How much psi? I am thinking of getting this turbo

Holly shit I needed that laugh 😂 we need more raw clips like that bro
just put a 1.5 xt-r on a few months ago, looks like this would be a nice upgrade before going ets rotated kit, sick sh!t !!
Get the strap bro . That thing was moving on the dyno and on the road hit. Killer Turbo set up .
Interested in seeing you sending more BCP X500Rs to the moon!

Very impressive, i think it will be a big player for stock location with stock intake manifold🚀🌛
The jdm bumper look sooo good on the forester. Special touch baby 🚗💥💨🔥
And stock heads
With WCF it would be around 627whp on DJ so who cares. It will comwe down to street drivability imo
Great work Bades
Last time it took me over an hour to get the clamp on. Was also by myself on jackstands and with the downpipe on. Was terrible.

From our experience this turbo works best on stock head/stock cams.

Dude that some power from stock location with 2.4 inlet. My question is what would Garrett 3582R make? I’m curious with your experience with Subarus.

Love to see this turbo more on some builds!
The Forster looks great with that bumper
I’m looking to go with a similar setup to this car with my 2011.
Great build!!! Good job Josh!!!!
great power for a stock location, 2.4" inlet!
Wow. Stock heads, stock intake, stock location turbo, 1300 injectors. Get some!!! Do some more builds with this.

That's amazing....I wonder what you think of that compared to a g25 600?
Wondering same here or G30 660
damn seems like a nice turbo. Nice sneak peek xD
Impressive turbo
What engine management are you using to tune it ?
Lmao it took the old guy to figure out how to put it in a hole at the proper angle, you even got a scream when you did it 😂😂😂😂
Fozz front looks fresh!
Pretty cool to see other quality stock location turbo options!
How has Justin's car fared on those stock head bolts?
We need u to do opensource tunning for use the live 1000 miles from u
jdm front looks dope
Those Hawkeyes are the best
Hows the top end on this BCP X500R? Will it start choking after 7k?
Isn't the 2.5 IAG only rated for 700bhp? Keep me updated about the reliability of this car.
I see a radium fuel pressure regulator, are you simulating 1700cc with that? What Ethanol % was that at? 60%?
Best stock location turbo?? GO!
Did I miss it? What’d it make on pump?
What kind of head studs are you running on that block? I have ARP 625+ CA on my 2.5
Where are these turbo made? Will they last be Journal turbo not ball bearing?
@baderbuilt
Do you measure backpressure at the up pipe?
Must be through the roof at that boost on a stock frame turbo.
Josh have you/do you build FA20s for brz frs platform im looking to run 20 psi on my kit, and would want you to build it if possible

What’s the outlet size??
Is this on pump fuel or e85 ?
Have you tuned the Grimmspeed BB500?
I’m sure he will be because Smeedia just put one on his 04 STI.

always supporting mods😂
