How people walked up the stairs and were never seen again? It was back during the days where Tales from the Gas Station had just begun!? *Am I getting old already?…*
@The MissAh, another OG. There was a time where creepypastas were trending material and made it onto recommendations daily. Heh. Tales from the gas station had first come out. There was the original ranger stories with the staircases, and tales from the broadcast station. Even older ones too that I can’t quite place. I’m glad these things are still around! I’m only 19 and I’m already getting nostalgic…
I love your readings. Your almost innocent, wide-eyed narration is a perfect counterpoint to the unnerving nature of these stories. You don't try to make them scarier with an over-the-top spooky narration like so many others.
I can't agree more.... as someone with Aphantasia ( Yeah it's a thing where you can't "see things " with your eyes closed , look it up ) he made me actually see stories, if only small pieces, but they are getting bigger as are my dreams!

I learned to see the beasts that hunt me..... My first memory is me crawling under a table with many wooden seats,which had a lot of wooden cross beams so I couldn't crawl fast enough and my parent's feet standing and watching as I was hunted by an apex predator..

National Park/Ranger/Forrest horror stories are my favorite, and I have ALWAYS been fascinated by the staircase in the woods' phenomena. I've always ascertained that they were some sort of gateway to somewhere else, but why a staircase? Is it symbolic, do stairs represent something we don't fathom, Like windows and doorways? Search and Rescue Ranger: **Climbs stairs that were found during a SAR** Rangers CO: You climbed the stairs, didn't you? Ranger: Yeah, how did you know? Ranger's CO: Because we couldn't find the girl that went missing....

I know this was posted over a yr ago and as such this probably won't get a response.. but I love your narrating Lighthouse Horror!! You're by far my favorite narrator to listen to and this story in particular became an instant favorite of mine!! Gtripp14 you're a fantastic story teller!! This story has a very Lovecraftian feel to it and I LOVE Lovecraftian type horror!! Anyway, that aside I had noticed there was an addition of sorts to this character/universe. Jordan Grupe Horror narrated it. It's called "I'm a park ranger investigating paranormal incidents." He is another favorite narrator for me. But, I was wondering and hoping if you had narrated that one too cuz if you have I'd love to listen to your narration of that one. Thanx. 😊❤

It could also be used for bird watching... Firing from a tree stand is clumsy and can be expensive, depending on the materials used: aluminum or carbon fiber. Look, I don't hunt, but I assure you ET does not come down out of the sky and build them to freak us out. I mean how many people have actually seen one. Why bother doing it? To create an urban legend to keep people away from hiking and exercising? I don't think so...

Welcome to one of the probably healthiest addictions ! I call it: "The Lighthouse Effect" - the most addictive combination of voice/ sounds/ music and background art ever. I have a list with my most beloved stories. "An ancient being walks the streets on the night of Halloween" is one of my top 5, the whole rules- stories, the Grocery - Shop ones are a great start, or the compilations if you like long ones , but do not be fooled ! You can easily fall asleep to long ones, because some of his voices are too soothing. Then you wake up and have no clue when you fell asleep during the 4 hour compilation, or during the several ones you had on "autoplay"....^^ 🙃
You know , the lighthouse has a very iconic voice. Maybe im living under a creepy pasta rock but I feel like some other narroraters sound similar, Stephen has just something special that makes him iconic. Also, I love stories that take place in the woods. Scary as hell out there

Rip garry, those stairs are supprisingly accurate, In real life (the one you would see if u look up) has stairs the go seemingly nowhere, though they do during specific times and events, dont trust them, some are good though and the good ones are rare, DONT trust any please

The previous rangers final writings in that journal reminds me of the rick and Morty mind blowers when rick shows Morty true level and he cant handle the crooked uneven world afterwards.

I spent a lot of time in a semi rural area with the remains of old houses. Plenty of free standing stone and concrete stairs to play on and around. Good times. Glad that I only heard of these stories as an adult. ❤️🇨🇦

He sounds like just a normal guy, it really fits with most of the characters he plays. His voice also has a relaxing allure to it that helps me sleep

I've always wanted to live in the woods and "fire tower watcher" always seemed like the perfect job and of course I'm a horror fan so these stories are an extra treat
