    This video has been an absolute God send for me!! Sean ,I am a loyal subscriber, and I watch your video's all the time. As someone new relatively new to bow hunting I have searched all over TH-cam and the internet trying to find all the different bow tools I would need to work on my bow. I wanted to learn to work on my bow myself. I just found this video by accident, and boy am I happy I did!! Your video is the only place I have ever found to list all the tools I need, and you explain how to use each one, and where to buy it!! Can you tell how happy I am to have found your video,I have been looking a looong time!!! THANK YOU!, AND GOD BLESS YOU!!!

    Hey Sean, thank you for all the info that you put out for your fellow archers. I have found your content to be quite thorough and often enlightening. One thing that comes to mind with regards to your tools is with the Allen wrenches. I believe that PSE bows actually use Torx style bolts, so some of your viewers may require them as well. I personally have not shot a PSE but that's what my pro-shop guy mainly sells so he informed me that were I to pick one up I would need to buy some Torx wrenches.
    Anyhow, love your videos brother - thanks for putting them out! God bless and happy hunting!

    Thanks for sharing!! I know this is about 3 years old now, but very good information. Since our local archery shop has closed down I have started getting setup to do my own bow tuning, arrow cutting and fletching. I have the bow vise like you have in your video and the levels as well, plus one extra level for adjusting the axis on my Spot Hogg Fast Eddie site. Later on I plan on buying a bow vise, but have to make room for that and I will probably do a DIY draw board. I will be taking care of my bow, my son's bow and even my brother in laws bow. Again appreciate your videos, and I have sub'd to your channel. I have watched several of your videos so far. Just came across this one today. Juddie - J & J TOA

I use them when putting in accessories like peeps and string leaches. To count strands and spread the strings. Have you ever done this or is it just me.. lol. 🤣😂

    You mentioned the most dreaded thing: cutting a peep serving. I hate doing that. The tighter and better you tie it the harder it is to remove.

    • @seansoutdoors
      @seansoutdoors  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah it’s not something I like doing lol

    • @MrShysterme
      @MrShysterme 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tie mine with a clove hitch and then tuck the serving twice on each side with overhand knots (pretty standard). I go right into the groove around the aluminum peep with sharp scissors and just kinda gnaw at the serving without coming close to the string. The scissors only touch the peep and will even score up the metal, but I don't care. Eventually, the serving is cut, then I grab the end with tweezers and I can unwrap the whole thing from the one cut. I'm never near the bow string, but it is a total pain.

      Relax all the muscles in your release hand when you are anchored in and preparing to release. Do that every time for the best release possible. Also, don't pluck your hand away from your face while releasing, but instead make sure it goes straight back away from the target as you release. God bless you.

    Do you prefer a single or dual cam bow and what is the difference

    • @seansoutdoors
      @seansoutdoors  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      duel cam is what I prefer. They are a lot faster than single cam, because you have two cams to store and deliver energy. With a single cam you can't store as much energy so they are slower. The advantage of a single cam is that you don't have to worry about cams going out of sync. When duel cams go out of sync you have a drop in efficiency and accuracy. The bow needs to be re-tuned. The other thing that some people like about a single cam is that they are smoother to draw because you only have one cam. This comes as the result of storing much less energy. I prefer a duel cam because I prefer the power and speed and I can easily tune my own bow.

      Even if I did know, I refer people to check with the manufacturer because some will void the warranty if you try to use a bow press that is not on their approved list. I am not sure if Xpedition has that bow press on their approved list, so that is why I refer people to them. Sorry I don't have more info. Good luck with it.

    What part of Iowa did you move to. I’ve been thinking about selling my house and moving to Iowa. Beeen looking for farms out there. What was the reason you moved out there? How is the work force"?

    • @seansoutdoors

      I moved out here for the hunting and for a job I wanted working for the Catholic Church. There seems to be a descent amount of work in the city areas but not so much out in other areas. I guess it depends on what you do, or want to do, when it comes to looking for work. The one big drawback I’ve found so far about Iowa is that there isn’t much forested land out here.
