      Thanks for the feedback Aaron! Appreciate it! An arrow saw is one of the last things on my list to get for the DIY bow shop. Haven't made the plunge just yet though. When I do, I'll put up a video on it!

    Dude can’t thank you enough, subscriber well earned. Just got quoted $200 to restring my Hoyt... needless to say I will be investing in myself and my skills. I’m a tinkerer and have always wanted to be able to tune and have absolute faith in my bow! Your video just convinced me I’ve made the right choice.

      That's so awesome to hear! Way to go jumping in and learning how to do it yourself! It takes time, but little by little you'll become a pro. That's exactly how this started for me. Almost $200 for a new string and tune, so decided to invest in the equipment to do it myself. Keep at it and we'll keep posting more videos that hopefully are helpful for you! Appreciate the feedback as well.

    1st thing you do in your workshop in the garage is finish off the mudding of the tape lines. Then paint the ceilings and walls white. That way you get a lot more Bang for your buck when you put your lights in.

    • @BackwoodsPursuit
      @BackwoodsPursuit  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't have my own arrow saw just yet, but hope to get one. If I need arrows cut I'll have to run to my local shop for the time being. Once cut I can sure do the rest though! Thanks!

      @@BackwoodsPursuit I did a search for arrow saws a while back and a small cutoff saw at Harbor Fright came up; I bought one to use for my grandsons, they are always needing arrows or arrows fixed from using our backyard 3-D course. After seeing your video, I saw some on using this saw from Harbor Fright for a arrow saw, giving me some ideas. I like your bow holder for the bow vise.

    Something to think about..... Before screwing in the anchors/hangers for your bows be sure no plumbing or electrical is running through the 2x4s in the wall. Can't tell you how many times I have been on service calls to repair electrical problems only to find out home owner screwed in too long of screws and ruined the romex cable in the wall.

    Do you still use that bow vise? I checked out the one you have on Amazon and it is very cheap, which scares me a little...does it hold it pretty steady or would you recommend spending more money on a more solid vise? Thanks for this video!

    • @BackwoodsPursuit
      @BackwoodsPursuit  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching! Yeah, I do still have that vise and use it regularly. It does fine. If money isn't an object, I'd get one of those OMP vises, but they are a lot more expensive. For just working on your bow in the garage, that one in the video does fine.

    How does that bow vise work? I have been looking at that one, but wasn't sure how functional and well it holds the bow

    • @BackwoodsPursuit
      @BackwoodsPursuit  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It works well enough. Holds the bow secure, but can be a bit tough to make the bow totally level etc for leveling 3rd axis, but for the money it's totally worth it. If money were no object the OMP is much nicer but also about $200.
