Really cool to see you play Broodwar, would love more games! Right now the PvT meta is based on a 5-factory 2-base timing push by terran and holding it as protoss, though the terran can decide to use his units to take a 3rd instead and max out first before pushing. Protoss can stop this in several ways - all on 3 base, though if the terran takes a 3rd you should quickly go to 5 bases if possible. The meta builds for protoss to stop the push are: Fast 8 gateway speed zealot / dragoons - if the terran takes a 3rd you usually go into high templar drops /storms on army if they come out and stay 2-3 bases ahead of terran. Speed shuttle+reaver + 6 gateway speed zealot / dragoons - where you fire scarabs, retreat etc. and protect the shuttle with a few dragoons. A lot of protoss players lose their shuttle to goliaths and die to the push. 3 base arbiter rush w. speed zealot / dragoons - timing is just so you if you can delay the push slightly you will fight to stop the terran from building a turret in front of your natural by escorting one zealot at a time into terran worker/siege tanks, dragging mines and the terran runs out of scans on 2 comsats and you kill the push and take 4th and 5th. If they go for a 3rd you get recall. For all these builds 1 forge upgrades are desirable attack first then armor. As for early build you can either nexus first before gate and get quick zealots off of 1-2 gateways and defend with probes if they rush - give up nexus and go drops. Alternatively you can purchase a dragoon first and then expand, possibly with a zealot first to pressure (advantage if they skip gas) or run by the bunker with a dragoon or 2 more zealots. You can get range before nexus to pressure their bunker if you can stay out of range of it's fire - then it is also hard for the terran to pressure you.

Dragoons into siege tanks with shuttles and drop ships on both sides was the thing. Thank you so much for the SC content. I used to 1v1 my friend Matt all day every day trying to get better in The PvT matchup. Brings back such great memories.

Shield battery ladder has the fog of war turned off, but normal bw is black fog of war. Also you can change your hotkeys in the main menu to whatever you wish so you don't have to have probe as p. you can make it e. (since remastered)

You did very well, your opponent clearly was not novice, performed 2 base timing attack which means there was huge in game knowledge gap as well APM difference. That was no novice.
this is about my mmr, your build was fine. nice early reaver, nexus not too late. you can make 1 or 2 zealots to drop first before the reaver in the shuttle to take some fire or bait mines
On Neo Dark Origin, depending on matchup you'll want the first Pylon & Gate at the natural (more so against Terran), since it's unlikely they'll do a forward 8-Barracks Marine bust on your Nexus after Gate.
You can try the SC: Evo Complete on SC2 next time. Players can choose to have the BW set of units or SC2. Really fun watching Guardians go against Thors. :D There is a tournament going on right now with pro players playing it for 8000$ price money I think? Really fun to watch BW pros go against SC2 pros with each using the units they are comfortable with.

Playing again lately but man, I been losing mostly every game.. and when I used to play I was baller 85% win record back in the old days but not any more :/ it’s humbleing… and a ton of people been playing always fast ladder whew no longer than 25 seconds usually
That was sick. Ur worker count is supposed to be a little further then his so that was correct. The only thing it seemed u did wrong was just being supply blocked. If ur supply matched his when ur armies met up then you would have walked over his army i think. (Just from watching the pros im no expert)
All you have to do now is watch ASL download all the Protoss build orders, watch Snow, Mini all the top Protoss pros and your journey to the Broodwar side will be complete! Maybe the build orders are too map dependent but man your fundamentals so good. Wow you even built a scout, nobody builds a scout the cost is too damn high. 😂
Yes, I do. Now play the new mod taking over Korea, would be funny/interesting seeing how you react to the interactions these two games have when they clash. Now someone has to put a mod that brings Warcraft 1/2/3 together and the a mod that puts them on the stc 2 engine for Warcraft universe to clash against broodwar and stc 2.
In sc1 there's no colossus to build against tanks? What a shame. xD That storm on tanks looked dope though. By the way, are arbiters good against mech terran with air? As far as i remember, those bipedal robots of mech terran have the ability to fly.
You deff want to make the wall at the expo entrance, forge first with a canon or 2 and the expand behind it, go around 3 or 4 gates and make a decent mix mostly dragoons in tvp in the early game (unless you detect cheese then good luck ❤)

Yes! Everything sounds so unique and they really failed with Zealot attack sounds and Protoss voices in SC2
I also miss the fact that Protoss buildings have this blue burning effect when they're damaged.

It's dead even with War3 for me, honestly. I played the heck out of both of them back in the day, and they are both so so good.
Music in SC1's always been better since it makes you feel immersed, in SC2 it feels like you're watching a cinematic you can interact with.
